La camera era pulita, MA, solo dopo aver prenotato si scopre 35$a notte per il parcheggio. Per la lavatrice ci vogliono i quarti di dollaro. Mi hanno detto che li avevano, non erano sufficienti. Il detersivo, non ci hanmo detto che era in vendita nella lobby. Le ragazze erano gentili ma trattavano con sufficienza, rispondevano, ma guardavano il loro smartphone. Colazione a pagamento ma c'è la scelta di tot pezzi nello starbucks, non libera. Piscina ok, ti danno l'asciugamano.Non ci tornerò.

I stayed one night at the Sonesta Select Los Angeles LAX El Segundo, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced, especially considering how much I paid for the room. The hotel is very old and extremely rundown. When we first entered our room, there was an unbearable smell. I called the front desk, and someone came up with a spray bottle to try to mask the odor. I explained that this was not going to solve the problem. I was then told that the room had previously been treated with an ozone-type machine and that the smell could linger. Regardless of the reason, the room should not have been rented to a guest in that condition. I was moved to the room directly across the hall, which at least had a microwave, but unfortunately it was also in very poor condition. The bathroom exhaust vent was absolutely caked with dust and grime, the wallpaper was coming off, and there were stains throughout the carpet. The overall condition of the room was simply unacceptable. I understand that this is an older property, and I was told by the employees that the hotel was built in 1984. Being an older hotel is not the problem, lack of proper upkeep, cleanliness and maintenance is. There is a big difference between a hotel being dated and a hotel being rundown and dirty. I also contacted Hotels. com because I felt that I had significantly overpaid for what I received. Unfortunately, they were not helpful in resolving my concerns.

We landed at LAX and chose this property because it offered an airport shuttle. However, it seems you have to contact the property for them to send the shuttle over. This is a problem for most overseas visitors who don’t have roaming, or a US SIM card. We had an eSIM, which gave us data, but couldn’t make calls. We tried to WhatsApp the number provided in the website to no avail. It took a Good Samaritan who kindly call on our behalf and finally got a shuttle nearly 2 hours after arriving. After all the hassle, the property refused to provide us with complimentary early-check-in, despite the property having plenty of availability. They preferred to have us and other guests sleeping in the lobby with all our luggage, rather than extend the courtesy of an early check in. That aside, you get what you expect: a clean room, quiet, with a good bed. The location was also not bad. We were able to walk to the Metro and go places without having a car or using taxi/Uber.
