Checked in on a Saturday the weekend and construction was going on couldn’t barely hear the front desk. Was staying with our team and before I even Tried checking in the front desk tried to convince us to cancel our reservation stating they didn’t know how long it was going to be going on. Elevators were slow several teammates didn’t have hot water and parking was even worse.

Free parking! Free WiFi! Clean Rooms! Conveniently located to highway 92 off ramp West to Connect to 101! Blackout shades, many popular cable channels on TV I didn’t see MTV or TLC or Lifetime but there were many others suitable or just connect your mobile device (android) so me it’s a Samsung TV with mirroring it. Breakfast buffet $25.00per person was a bit high but it was a Sunday so not sure if it’s their regular price but it wasn’t that bad and mimosas for $16 per person. There is a pool on lower level and a small gym on the 4th floor with many ellipticals machines. The few things I wasn’t too fond of was the squeaky King Sized bed which squeaked every move I made esp when I first sat down. The toilet made a loud Sound every 15-20 mins not sure what that was about. And being across from The ice machine although the 4th floor showed as a quiet zone, I can hear the sounds of water Being poured out from the ice machine very now and then. Other than that I don’t really have any complaints but the squeaky bed. It wasn’t enough of an issue to contact the front desk about, overall I did enjoy my stay.

The room was so clean and the amenities were wonderful. We went dancing Friday evening in the club downstairs. We hit the jacuzzi and pool the next day. Check out wasn’t until 12 which was so relaxing and the bed was our favorite. King size and so comfortable. The bathroom layout was also great for getting ready. Very happy overall. Parking being free was also so convenient.

The hotel looked very nice everything was well kept and cleaned. The parking was very easy and plenty of it. Across the freeway there was Costco and many other stores. Very accessible to all the stores and restaurants. My room was cleaned and well kept. I had all the amenities that I needed for my night stay. The pool was closed so no access to that room to use the jacuzzi.

The rooms do not have usb outlets to support charging your devices. Small things like this really do matter in this day and age. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service the entire time we were there. This caused for long wait times to get back to our room or down to the lobby.

I had an excellent stay! The front desk staff were awesome—so welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. Every employee I encountered was friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. The hotel was spotless, the location was perfect, and everything exceeded my expectations. We have always stayed in Crowne plaza in Foster city with good experiences however this stay was not very good. This visit we stayed on the 3rd floor. Our carpet did not look clean it smelled musty the room was very stuffy since windows don’t open even for a little to air out rooms! The room was very noisy with some type of loud sound from air conditioning. Windows should be mandatory to have a bit of air flowing thru & carpets need to be steam cleaned. Our room next to ice machine was very noisy with foot traffic. We needed to check out earlier then normal due to smell causing headaches.

My room was annoying loud next to fans (compression) - the buzzing was terrible from the second I entered the room until I left. I would never go back to this hotel. Even with ear plugs in, it was miserible.

Pleasant and welcoming check in experience. Room is nice with 2 comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom met our expectations. Old technology television, I wish they upgrade their tv’s to SMART TVs with internet connection. Breakfast buffet for $25 per person is pretty decent considering this is the San Francisco Bay Area.

The front desk was flexible on finding me another room not facing the freeway. The room was beautiful, very clean, and the bathroom was lovely. Loved the soaps and hair products. The bed was super comfortable. I’ll definitely be back.

I had a horrible experience staying at this hotel. At 4am, staff entered my room without knocking. Thankfully I had the latch on. The person entering the room had asked if I had called guest services which I had not. Staff entered my room again around 10:30am without knocking again. This time I had forgot to put the latch. Staff gave the excuse it was housekeeping but why is housekeeping entering my room without knocking and I have the do not disturb sign hanging on the knob. Checkout wasn’t until 12 noon so that also didn’t make any sense. I spoke with the manager and she comped me for 2 people to eat brunch and gave us a late checkout at 2pm.

The check in person closed the door when i walked to the counter without acknowledging my presence. Eventually came out, took my information and then tood me a needed to come back in an hour. I asked if she could call or text when the room is ready. She said, "we dont do thta".

Front desk lady was not friendly. We asked for a room on a higher floor and she said there was none available. The hotel was not busy at all. Im giving high marks for cleanliness and comfort. The cleaning staff rocks..appreciate coming back to a made up room anc everything thoroughly cleaned.

I am staying at the Crown Plaza San Mateo on business. After I checked in, I got ready for bed because I was tired and needed to go to work early the next morning. It is 10pm and I am falling asleep only to be startled by someone else walking into my room. I quickly yelled at this person and asked who they are. Apparently it is another guest and the staff gave my room to another person. Now I am upset, can’t sleep thinking other people might come inside my room. Worst hotel experience.

The positives about this hotel are that there is free parking, close to the freeway and shopping and restaurants and there is a bar/lounge in the hotel. Had a great time there. This was my first and last time staying here though. The walls are thin and can here the room above us. The cleaning crew were very loud and the guests in the morning. The shower head was too low and the pressure too hard. Too expensive to stay here. Will be staying in another hotel.

The Crowne Plaza is a venue for many large social events so it is crowded and noisy on the weekends; however, the agent at the desk was able to find us a quiet, spacious room where we stayed comfortably for a week. We enjoyed visiting the bar in the evenings. Breakfast in the hotel is expensive, but there are more manageable options within walking distance. We also enjoyed walking in Vintage Park across the street. Access to the 92 freeway and from there to 101 north and south is very easy.

Free parking! Free WiFi! Clean Rooms! Conveniently located to highway 92 off ramp West to Connect to 101! Blackout shades, many popular cable channels on TV I didn’t see MTV or TLC or Lifetime but there were many others suitable or just connect your mobile device (android) so me it’s a Samsung TV with mirroring it. Breakfast buffet $25.00per person was a bit high but it was a Sunday so not sure if it’s their regular price but it wasn’t that bad and mimosas for $16 per person. There is a pool on lower level and a small gym on the 4th floor with many ellipticals machines. The few things I wasn’t too fond of was the squeaky King Sized bed which squeaked every move I made esp when I first sat down. The toilet made a loud Sound every 15-20 mins not sure what that was about. And being across from The ice machine although the 4th floor showed as a quiet zone, I can hear the sounds of water Being poured out from the ice machine very now and then. Other than that I don’t really have any complaints but the squeaky bed. It wasn’t enough of an issue to contact the front desk about, overall I did enjoy my stay.

Carpet stunk due too fresh adhesives. Bar was horrible loud music and had security. Sleezy Mexican night club vibe. Music too loud. Didn't feel welcome. Couldn't get a drink and have a quiet conversation. Walking distance to restaurants. Buffet was terrible and hostess crammed us into a tight corner booth next to noisy people even though there were plenty of other open spaces. Breakfast food mostly catered to Asian flavors. Scrambled eggs tasteless and dry.

I love this hotel the only thing I don’t like the breakfast its so over priced. I paid 30 dollars for coffee and 2 pieces of pastry and the brunch is 60 dollars.

Great mid range hotel, true to the chain. Beautiful architecture, well appointed, comfortable. If you have the good fortune to be there on a Sunday, make a reservation for the Sunday brunch at Cafe Florian. It's well worth it.

I didn’t know that the hotel was split into 2 separate buildings. It was hard for a mobility impaired person to access the main amenities. The few staff that I met were friendly. The deadbolt lock on my room door did not lock untiI I requested and received a repair (very helpful repair man). The chairs were very heavy to move. But the fold down seat in the accessible shower was great.
