Great location with proximity to Hermosa Beach attractions, shopping and restaurants. Room was nice, but a little noisy. The problem....location is under construction. All amenities were closed, including breakfast area. To Go bags were provided, but the place was a construction zone. I wouldn't book this place for at least 6 months from now, 3/2025.

While the overall property was average, the fact that the elevator was down for "maintenance" was a reflection on the franchise owner who obviously let the elevator "run to fair" in lieu of actually performing routine maintenance. The elevator had obviously broken or failed to pass county inspection. Elevator maintenance does not keep an elevator down for days

They were in total renovation and had no amenities and they still were expensive while doing renovations in all floors. It would had been good to at least not charge for parking.

Great location but room was not clean. There was dirt and hair on the floor and the bathroom was not clean. In the middle of the night we were awoken to conversations people were having in other rooms - we think they were maybe sitting outside on their balcony.

The only negative was the carpet in the hallways was filthy and there was only 1 elevator for the entire complex and we were hallways away from it on floor 4. It was like walking through a maze to get to it.

Not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in. Location is great, however, it was very noisy and dirty. Would probably look elsewhere in Hermosa next time.

We love this hotel! We stay here every time we return to California. The staff is friendly and approachable and the rooms are always nice and clean.

Our stay was decent. However the photos online don’t show that the hotel is dated. The hallways smell very stale and the carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in quite some time. We got to our room 405 I believe and it smelled strong of bleach. we had to open the door up to the balcony which was nice to air it out. The room looked clean. But after walking around for about 20 mins the bottom of my husbands feet were dirty. Like the floors hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also you will hear everyone around you. The floor above was stomping around and the side neighbors blasting their tv. Our tv wouldn’t turn on. We tried plugging it back in. Nothing. Breakfast was typical. The eggs taste terrible but the rest was decent. Over all just disappointed that I paid close to $300 a night for a hotel that was kinda dirty and more dated than the photos look like with no tv. I do have to say the ac goes down to 44! We like to be cold and slept with it on 62 and it was amazing! Bed is comfy. I wish the pillows were king size but that’s no biggie. The parking is $15 a night. The lot is kinda tight especially in an SUV. and trying to get out on that road is quite annoying. But that’s how traffic is in the area always.

Overall, good stay. Water never got hot for the shower. Was not happy about being charged an additional $15 to park at the hotel where we had a reservation.Breakfast was good. Our "ocean view" room could only see the ocean if you were standing out on the balcony; not visible from the room itself.

This was a great stay and an overall successful trip for me and my family. Great location. We arrived at the beach within 5 minutes after leaving the hotel parking lot. With Vons and CVS right across the street, we never had to think twice about opening in-room snacks or beverages. Awesome Breakfast. Full breakfast with proteins, carbs, fruits, and more. My kids couldn’t wait to get downstairs and make a fresh waffle right after waking up. My only downside. Sleeping in the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me and my spouse. We both woke up with minor back pain the first morning and neck pain on the second. Hopefully we had the only bad mattress in the hotel;) If I were to ever stay at Hermosa Beach again in the future, this place would definitely be in the running to take my money Take care!

The AC on the room is a little loud even at the lowest setting. One of the beds' springs make squeaky sound every time you move. Plenty of stores nearby and walking distance to the pier.

Extremely clean. They upgraded me to a suite for no charge which was very nice. Love that you can walk to the beach, the Strand and all of the shops. My go to spot when visiting my daughter.

I really would give it 4 1/2 stars. Overall. The only downside was the ocean view was ocean view but so far away. I didn’t realize that. Loved the balcony!!!

Staff were amazing. They let us leave our luggage and let us check in early. The breakfast was fabulous. The location was great and an easy walk to the beach through an adorable town.

It was an ok hotel. Issues upon check in and the attendant was very nice and helpful. Was not as pictures showed. Breakfast was decent.

My husband and I return here every year and love the convenience to the beach and shopping. This hotel, even with renovations, is the best from the front desk staff to the cleanliness of the property.

The owner went out of his way to get me a fan for my room after front desk lady coldly said no she couldn’t provide a fan. Air conditioning could use some tlc. One front desk staff may not be the right fit for a customer service oriented job. Stayed 4 nights.

This was a great stay and an overall successful trip for me and my family. Great location. We arrived at the beach within 5 minutes after leaving the hotel parking lot. With Vons and CVS right across the street, we never had to think twice about opening in-room snacks or beverages. Awesome Breakfast. Full breakfast with proteins, carbs, fruits, and more. My kids couldn’t wait to get downstairs and make a fresh waffle right after waking up. My only downside. Sleeping in the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me and my spouse. We both woke up with minor back pain the first morning and neck pain on the second. Hopefully we had the only bad mattress in the hotel;) If I were to ever stay at Hermosa Beach again in the future, this place would definitely be in the running to take my money Take care!

Great location with proximity to Hermosa Beach attractions, shopping and restaurants. Room was nice, but a little noisy. The problem....location is under construction. All amenities were closed, including breakfast area. To Go bags were provided, but the place was a construction zone. I wouldn't book this place for at least 6 months from now, 3/2025.

Clean, sufficient, ample parking, good location. Hampton Inn encourages online/ app communication and no one answers the phone or text messages. AI agent completely useless. I tried to notify multiple ways of our late arrival to no avail. Thankfully, there was someone at the desk when we arrived. Hotel is average, no frills but suited our needs, but the cost was twice as much as what it should be.

This hotel, although on a very busy major street, is near a lot of nice areas, like the beach and nearby Pier Street. The rooms are clean, and there is no carpeting, which can be seen as both a plus and a minus depending on who you are. Breakfast is not bad - cereals, hot food, waffles, water and coffee. But I won't stay here again. The issue is the noise. At about midnight I was awakened by the people next door yelling at each other. I did knock on the door, and I did call the front desk, who talked to them, and they quieted down. The next morning it was incesant stomping and yelling from the child in the room above. Here's the thing: The walls are very thin. The floors/ceilings are very thin. The elevator is a single car that is quite slow. Parking is somewhat limited, and the spaces are very tight to navigate. These are things they simply can't fix. I was in a rush to check out, so I didn't ask for compensation, which I now regret.
