Room was updated and modern. It was very clean and just as advertised. Extra toiletries (toothbrushes, paste, makeup remover packets, etc.) were provided in room, along with a couple of water bottles. Front desk was courteous and helpful. Garage parking was available. Beach was just a few steps away. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards were available to rent for a small fee. Beach towels were provided in room. Lots of restaurants and cute shops just a block away, with a convenience store across the street. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay here in the future.

Clean and comfortable room. If you’re in an ocean view it’s over the rooftop of a restaurant so that detracts somewhat but overall great stay. The location is fantastic and they had free parking!

This property was a perfect location for hopping on the beach path and walking distance to food, shopping, etc. Parking available below building and has an elevator for getting luggage and yourself to your room floor.

View from balcony was of parking garage and roof. Zero food options (even vending machine) on site. No one on staff at checkout to get change for cleaning staff. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Very close to lots of walkable destinations including beach. Great location!

We had an amazing time. The hotel is in a great location, beds were super comfortable and having a fridge, microwave, and all of the little things made it stand out. We definitely want to stay here again. Only thing missing was the e ice machine was broken. Hopefully that is fixed next time we stay. Great job Grandview Inn!

The location is wonderful, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. The hotel itself is pretty plain without much for amenities (no gym, pool, food, etc.) and it’s not well put together, aesthetically. It was clean, well kept, and quiet, so no functional complaints; just not as nice as I was expecting from reading other reviews.

We've stayed at the Grandview about five times over the last few years. The positives are that it is in a great location only steps from the beach and near all of Hermosa's great bars, restaurants and attractions. The negative it is time for a refresh. The room I had had stains on the carpet, rusted fixtures in the bathroom, and the fridge made a whine all night. It is still good, but it used to be better a few years ago when things were newer. Still a good option for the location.

Excellent location, friendly owners. Room is large, fridge, microwave etc. Kind extras like toothbrushes and toothpaste. Some cleanliness issues like hair in shower (before we used it) and a strong perfumed attempt to hide an underlying musty odor. I would still stay again, and still reccommend

I have stayed here before several times and liked it, but this time the AC was broken and they did nothing to fix it and didn't change our room and I could barely sleep it was so hot. So we left the slider open for air, but this was a slight security risk and that made me nervous. Very poor night's sleep..

Nice hotel, convenient for my activities, well kept, parking easy. Have to call to get front desk attendant to take care of you- they should have a camera so when. a customer approaches the front desk they automatically come outt of hiding to assist you. The room was nice, comfortable the design of the bathroom horrendous- there is no lip along the edge of the shower- so while it looks 'cool' or 'hip' it is impractical- and the drainage not good so one shower and when I finished the erntire basthroom had a 1/4" of water which had essentially overflowed from the shower area- I had to usee all the towels and the beach towels left in fht eroom to mop up the floor as it was stepping out of the shower into the bathroom covered in water, I almost slipped and fell- very poor design.

Pros: close to the beach! Friendly staff. The shower head was nice. Cons: the AC/heater unit didnt work. The bathtub didnt plug (we have kids so this was a bummer).

It was just a few steps from the beach. Had a ocean view. Was kept very neat and clean. Cleaning Maids did a wonderful job everyday. Had ample parking. All your needs and requests were taken care off. Quite spacious for one room that we reserved

The rooms are in excellent condition and come equipped with all the amenities you could possibly want. They appear to have been recently renovated with great thoughtr and attention to detail. I highly recommend them for a beach stay.

The location of the property is great. It is right by the beach and the main street of Hermosa Beach. I found the hotel itself had a cleaning supply smell that was making me sick to my stomach and the room was not well lit. I also wanted to leave my bag with the concierge so I could explore a bit before my flight home and the concierge was no where to be found. I tried calling the number left there and waited 20 minutes and still no one.

A good place to stay if you just want a basic room for sleeping and be at a good location near the beach. Quite clean, spacious, and a deck that for us had a partial ocean view. Easy, free parking, though some beachgoers parked there, so it filled up. No regular attendee at front desk. Must use phone. Next time, we'll likely pay more and stay across the street at Beach House.

I was disappointed by the cash grab for parking. Roll it into the room charge for FS. Just another hassle for me to administer. Room was Ok but the lack of even a coffee station in the morning was irritating.

Hotel is located very close to the beach as well as bars and restaurants. My only suggestion is that the front desk is never occupied. When I checked in nobody there, when I checked out nobody there and even when I had questions during my stay, wait for it, nobody there. They have a phone that you need to dial, when I checked in they answered but never the other times I went to the desk.

Stayed 2 nights. Arrived around 6pm and staff was ready and waiting to check us in. Staff was always available by phone if they weren’t at the front desk. Our room was clean, updated, and spacious. Great neighborhood restaurant next door for breakfast. Super easy access to The Strand and ocean. Highly recommend, we’lll be back!

This was a very comfortable hotel, within sevonds of the beach and a very short walk to the pier and main eateries. Hermosa beach is gorgeous and v close to LAX.

This room is clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The view of Hermosa Beach is wonderful. The hotel provides tons of amenities. There are at least 25 bars and restaurants within a half mile… Plus some cool shops.

I was disappointed by the cash grab for parking. Roll it into the room charge for FS. Just another hassle for me to administer. Room was Ok but the lack of even a coffee station in the morning was irritating.

Stayed overnight after Flight into LA - quick trip down the road to get out of LAX. Hermosa Beach is a cracking spot - plenty of food / bar options within short walk from Hotel. Beach at the end of the street. Parking on site. Awesome Mexican next door…. Great spot for a short stay

View from balcony was of parking garage and roof. Zero food options (even vending machine) on site. No one on staff at checkout to get change for cleaning staff. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Very close to lots of walkable destinations including beach. Great location!

The location is wonderful, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. The hotel itself is pretty plain without much for amenities (no gym, pool, food, etc.) and it’s not well put together, aesthetically. It was clean, well kept, and quiet, so no functional complaints; just not as nice as I was expecting from reading other reviews.

This was our second time staying at the Grandview Inn. Location is great! The view of the ocean from our balcony was beautiful! Staff was attentive. Love the parking garage.

The location close to the beach is a huge positive! And the bed was comfortable. However, it’s very clear that nothing is being maintained properly as items are showing wear & tear. The bedroom window shears were coming off the track, the right side of the bathroom towel bar was sliding out from the wall, the interior sheet of the shower curtain has been cut off at the top leaving only the outer liner. The TV remote control was also very frustrating since only every 10th button push registered, Everything else in the room was bare bones, including the lights and furniture. There wasn’t a luggage rack or even a stool to place your open suitcase, it could only go on the floor or bed. There were no dresser drawer to unpack clothes. We had a separate living room and kitchen, but there were no end tables or a coffee table, simply a single sofa and a desk on the side wall. There wasn’t only one small bedside task lamp and no lamp anywhere in the living area. There were recessed can lights, but they were fluorescent blue-white and very bright, with no dimmer option.

Cleanliness staff parking were all excellent. The balcony itself was fine but you sit right on top of the neighbors AC which was noisy. Also the location is good but a bit expensive in comparison to beach front hotels.
