Travelodge by Wyndham Long Beach Convention Center

We slept here. Nothing more. My only complaint is why are you charging for parking? Just add that in the price of the room and call it a day. You’re not a high class resort and $15 is a sham!

If you’re thinking about it… don’t…look elsewhere! We had legit BLACK MOLD IN OUR AC! I’m not sure how they are operating still… no pool.. they just keep it online to bring people in. No complimentary breakfast. Mis informed. The non-smoking room smelled SO BAD. He just said to have the door open and air it out. “Nothing he can do about it” it was so hard to even be in the room with the terrible smell.

The property is in a great location but in need of an update. I only stayed for one of the two day reservation and was told I needed to pay for two days of parking…annoying and nonsensical.

While I was there, the elevator was broken, but the stairs were in good condition. The staff were friendly and polite.

Great location, about a 15 minute walk from Long Beach Convention Center or Alamitos Beach. Relatively inexpensive. Has the basics and the room was clean. Wifi was provided. Check-in/check-out is done by talking to a staff member through a window while you're outside. The room had a noticeable smell that might have been because of paint and/or the building old. The sink was unusually shaped like a box on top of the sink counter and I splashed a lot of water onto the sink counter while using it. The provided tissues were helpful for cleaning it up. Amenities: The room appeared to be renovated with a new flooring, sink, sink counter, mirror, toilet, tabletop and nightstand, and possibly repainted walls. Not everything looked renovated though. The shower wall had some minor damage. Air conditioning panel by window looked old but I didn't try to adjust it. The bed and towels were clean. Soap and shampoo and a box of tissues were provided. There was a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and clothes hangers. The room had a mini fridge but it was old and not very cold. The motel's small outdoor pool was closed but I didn't plan to use it. I did not use the flatscreen TV.

Hard to find parking due to restaurant next door.

Everything was great. They put us on the second floor which would have been great if there elevator was working. It was hard to carry our luggage. It was hard to carry our luggage.

There were live maggots on the floor in my first room then I got zero apology when they moved me to another room that had roaches. It’s not ok

Too bad I can't rate it 0 because that's what the place is. I wish I saw the reviews before I booked, so this is your warning sign to not go to this hotel. It's the filthiest I've ever been to. There were cockroaches crawling on my towel, the bed is uncomfortable and the place stinks. Worse still, I checked out on the first day and they refused to refund the other 4 nights, yet I didn't stay there. Book at your own peril.

Our room was not completely clean. The sheet kept coming off the bed and the shower curtain had mold on it. The location was perfect for why we came to Long Beach. WiFi was spotty.

Room had a musty smell. Only two towels were in the room, we had to ask for more. Fridge was stained. A/C made a terrible rumbling sound. Inside of elevator was in poor condition. We had a non-smoking room, but were able to smell cigarettes and marijuana along the corridor on our last night. There was a phone in the room but had no dial tone. Trash cans had no trash bags in them. No extra toilet paper left in room either and the roll left was not new, luckily we were out most of the time.

No matter how cheap this place is do not stay here. If I could give anything less than 1 star I would. The elivator smells moldy. I had a non smoking room and my room smelled like a mixture of mold and and ash tray. There were burns/stains on the blankets, cockroaches& trash in the ac vent and the towels were yellow. I expressed my concerns with front desk and all I was told was that he would relay the information to the manager. When I asked if there was a card or any contact in for a manager he said no. I asked for a refund but because I had check a few hours prior he said he was unable to give a refund even though the room was in disgusting unsanitary conditions.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. My family and I stayed at the Travelodge Convention Center Hotel from [check-in date] to [check-out date], and we encountered numerous issues that significantly impacted our stay. Upon entering our room, we were immediately confronted with a refrigerator that was completely rusted and unsanitary. Additionally, there was mold growing on the shower curtain and the air conditioning unit, which posed health concerns, particularly for my children. The shower was also in poor condition, as it did not rinse down properly. There was hair scattered everywhere when we arrived, including on the toilets, which had not been wiped down. These conditions made it nearly impossible to settle my children and provided an uncomfortable and unhygienic environment for the duration of our three-day stay. I am deeply disappointed by the state of the room and the lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance. Such conditions are unacceptable for any guest, and they certainly did not meet the standards I expect from Travelodge. I kindly request a full refund for our stay and assurance that these issues will be addressed to prevent future guests from experiencing similar conditions. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter.

Our room was infested with roaches. I have filed a formal complaint with wynham properties. When we notified the front desk they said they could refund us for the next day if we wanted to leave early. We are currently back home at a laundromat washing everything we brought so that we dont carry a roach infestation back into our home

Great location & price. The breakfast place next door is amazing! I didn’t experience anything mentioned in the negative reviews (shower curtains were fine, room was clean, ac worked very well). It’s not the best place but not the worst. Room is big. The only things that i felt needed improvement is the sheets could have been more fitted (bottom sheet came up a little), balcony door could have had a handle for easier opening, and the sink was a bit further from the bathroom. I’d stay there again.

The positive about this hotel was its location. Very close to downtown and walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants, and shops. The negatives 1) the noise level. Sirens ALL night and vagrants yelling in the streets. If you are unlucky like us and get a room on the left side of the property it neighbors a breakfast restaurant that opens at 6am. Which means at 5:30am you’ll get woken up to the noise of the staff unchaining metal chairs and setting their entire patio and if they have a wait list you’ll be able to hear every single persons name and party size being called out as their table is available. The room was pricey for the accommodations. I’ve stayed in much nicer for half the price. Minimal toiletries provided. Wouldn’t stay again, wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

It was comfortable and clean. Balcony was a nice added surprise.

Now this is great place for a budget, depending on any events that may be happening on the weekends. Everything is nice in the rooms. Only major gripe is that the input button is completely removed on the TV. If you have anything you would want to use that function for to switch HDMI to use a console or laptop to watch movies or stream your online services. Depending on how much time you will spend in your room.

Typical hotel experience nothing bad or amazing. However i like that we had a balcony , that was nice.

Parking was on the property. Easy check-out and easy check-in. Liked the personal balcony. Walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants and the beach area as well as a grocery store. Didn't have to deal with staff much except at check-in/check-out but if and when I did, they were respectful and helpful. Elevator reeked of urine. Neighbors were incredibly noisy at around 2AM/3AM. There was no housekeeping, which was fine with me but the room still looked like a couple spots were missing a nice cleaning prior. Sheets had some stains. Headboard was dirty. Some areas dusty. If housekeeping wasn't going to go through each day, then I feel extra towels, soaps, etc should be placed in the room.

This would have been a great stay If they could at least make the internet work. With substandard pillows and sheets, rust on the bathroom and AC unit and barely a blanket on the bed I could still live with it because the price was reasonable. But in this day and age if you can't give me internet then you rendered me useless and it makes the whole trip unbearable. I don't understand how companies can skimp out on internet when it's absolutely necessity even more important than the air and water sometimes.

When I arrived they gave my room with a king size bed to someone else. They mistaken checked in an other person with the same first name as mine with my name…they failed to check the last name with the ID. I was waiting for 30-45 mins as the clerk was trying to figure out what to do. After a long wait they gave me a Queen size bed which was very uncomfortable. This is not what I paid for. Never again I will stay there. Horrible experience

Staff needs to pay attention to details, they insisted that my reservation was not as I indicated until I produced the image to back up my words.

I liked the convenient location—walkable to downtown and shops. The staff at Travelodge were friendly and helpful, making the stay pleasant and hassle-free.

Front desk Rohan was very professional and sweet. I will return to this hotel and recommend it highly to all.

Lousy customer service. No access to lobby for any reason. All transactions done through a window. No housekeeping unless you book it in advance. Checked in Thursday night. Went to a conference all day Friday. Couldn't understand when i got back why my room hadn't been cleaned. Spiders in my room. Outdoor, wide open parking lot, but they charge you $10 per night to park on property. Nothing special. Wouldn't stay here again.

Very convenient to get to our event's shuttle with a short walk and enjoyed the easiness of checking in. Parking is good but just a bit snug. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to come back for our next event 🤗

Had to get my own bath towels, toilet paper and coffee for the maker. This was annoying to keep stopping at the front desk. We had to empty our own trash cans at the first floor dumpster. The pool was closed indefinitely though they did not advertise that when we booked. False advertising for sure. There was no microwave in the room . I most definitely would not book there again and I suggest you go elsewhere as well.

Situated blocks from the Long Beach Convention Center, this is a clean and safe place to stay for those attending a conference. Additionally, Von's grocery is only one block away. Check out Von's Deli for a fantastic to-go meal featuring mango or fried chicken.

The people are sooo nice, the took my bags for a few hours before check in. The hotel is in a perfect location next to the beach. I’ll be back!

Location is close to dining, beach, convention center. Stayed on Grand Prix weekend and it was a perfect location. Desk agent, Rahan fulfilled my request for specific room location and was very helpful and professional.

I like my stay because it was close to the beach and also close to the facility where I what's having the meeting.

Car was broken into within an hour of being there. Maintenance guy was helpful, office staff not helpful, wouldn’t let us check in early, wouldn’t provide any help. Area around hotel is pretty trashy, lots of homeless people around.

Close to grocery store, restaurants, and cruise terminal. Nice to have the 3 bed option. Nothing fancy.

For the price you are paying, this is so much better! Great place to stay for convention center events.

Staff were friendly and helpful - but you have to wonder why the lobby is always locked and you have to talk to the staff through the window. Hotel is just average, the rooms are overdue an update. No extra charge for wifi but the signal is awful. Area is ok, but a few sketchy folk hanging around. Prices are way too much for what you get-but location is great for the convention center, theater and beach.

They didn't mop our floors, they were dirty. Also, they did not have any kind of breakfast even though they said it in the amenities

There was no breakfast there was no parking we had to pay extra for parking there was no swimming pool we had to pay three times as much as anywhere else and worst of all they didn't even serve coffee this was an overpriced terrible place to stay I would never stay there again and I would never recommend anybody stay there

Well it's close to all the shipping stores and a 5-minute walk away from the beach, so that's good. I like the breakfast bar.

This property was nothing like the images online. There is no lobby and no dining on site. It is a motel, not a hotel and the exterior is old and dirty looking. The room was clean but there were loud traffic noises all night.

Room is very clean. We prefer more of a motel feel over the bigger storied hotels. This was perfect. A “breakfast bar” restaurant right next to. Has good food but pricey (no price on a reg cup of coffee on menu was kinda shocked at the $4.50 price). We aren’t cheap people but it wasn’t high end. Otherwise food good. We didn’t walk around the area, just stayed in ordered a dominos pizza for dinner. Only stayed one ngt before cruise, was perfect.

I was very disappointed with the appearance of the room. There was no microwave in the room and the picture from the advertisement made it seem that the breakfast bar was part of the hotel. The pictures on the website made it appear that the swimming pool was much larger
