What a wonderful stay. The welcome we received at the front desk was warm and kind and very helpful getting us settled with our large SUV and into our room. Staff provided some nice surprises in our room since it was our anniversary. Everything was clean and as described. The breakfast was great. Highly recommend

This is a very comfortable inn with a unique atmosphere. Visiting in November we were very nestled in among redwood trees and aspens which were partially in color. There was an open patio area for use in warmer weather for a very expansive breakfast buffet that included quiches, pastries, waffles and smoked salmon and bagels. It is located in town with easy access to restaurants, shops, art galleries and music.

Mill Valley Inn is a charming hotel that captures the calm, classic feeling of the area. Parking, check in and making a dinner reservation were all seamless and pleasant. The wine served outside on the terrace overlooking the redwoods is a terrific touch. We will be back.

It is nestled in a lovely spot downtown with easy access to shopping and dining. It was a little difficult getting our luggage up the stairs. They did offer to get someone to help, but we managed.

Location was excellent. We walked everywhere. The hotel layout is a bit cut up with its stairs as the most efficient way to get to the room or breakfast. Otherwise a lovely property to stay in the heart of Mill Valley.

We really enjoyed our stay! I would have given a five star rating but there were a couple things that could be improved… A microwave in the room would have been wonderful. I would also have used a makeup mirror. The bed frame was squeaky. There was a hair in the bathtub. The heater was loud. On the other hand, the location was beautiful with a creek and the redwoods! The nearby park was beautiful. Our host was wonderful and even upgraded our room for us. The towels, robes and bedding were soft and the bed was super comfortable! Loved the soaps and bath salts. The food nearby was wonderful and breakfast at the inn was really good! Overall it was a relaxing few days away everyday life. Thank you!

I had not idea that this level of customer service still exists. Everyone goes above and beyond. The hotel is perfect. It's a great location. The best coffee shop in town is a block down the street. It is small and quaint. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. If I am in the area again, I will return to this hotel.

The cleanest hotel room I've seen in the last decade. Breakfast every morning was delicious with waffles, fresh fruit, and quiche, and they did a wine and cheese tasting in the evenings.

A beautiful stay. Staff are all such friendly and helpful people - they made us feel welcome and were always available to help with anything that we needed. our room was quiet and had an incredible view of the redwoods. Everything in the room was spotless, comfortable and easy to operate. The breakfast buffet was great and offered healthy choices, as well as custom cappuccino and latte drinks. Wine and cheese in the evening was a great pre-dinner offering too. Innkeeper Shahla and Facilities Manager Phil went out of their way daily to make sure we were well cared for - what a treat to be welcomed like that! We will definitely be back on our next trip through the Bay Area.

Just popped in for a quick one night stay - to visit friends nearby. The location was amazing - very cute town with fun shops and cafes. Nearby is a beautiful public library and playground in the middle of a redwood forest - great to walk through. Room was large (19) with high ceilings and large bathroom . Free continental breakfast served in the sunroom in the AM. Unfortunately we missed out on the wine and cheese hour. Would gladly stay again!

My husband and I stayed in a standard room with a balcony for three nights to recharge. It was a safe, cozy, clean, and convenient place to stay if you want to hike in Muir Woods and the Tamalpais Mountains. The continental breakfast and service were excellent. Great hotel right in the redwoods. Walks from the hotel into the woods is amazing! We did a day of just walking around in and out of the walking paths in the neighborhoods around the local area. Obviously you can walk right downtown too for a quick food comedy show across the street and shopping. The hotel room has everything situated nicely with good amount of furniture. Good space hooks in the bathroom for the towels, etc. staff was helpful and kind!

This is a charming inn, elegant in an understated and cozy way. For one person, the room was very spacious and, I imagine, would have worked well for a couple. There are a couple of tables, a comfy chair to sit in by the window, and ample lighting. The bed was very comfortable. And the two bottles of Acqua Panna was a welcome touch. Certainly, the staff was a big part of the pleasure of staying there. From the housekeeping to the those who prepared the breakfasts and daily wine and cheese hour to the front desk staff, everyone was friendly, approachable, and very helpful. One more big plus: the Inn is a couple of minutes walking distance from the heart of town.

I loved everything about this hotel. It's right in town, you can walk to the Dipsea Trail. There's a fabulous breakfast spread (though they could use more vegan options) and there's also a wine evening event most nights.

Location was excellent. We walked everywhere. The hotel layout is a bit cut up with its stairs as the most efficient way to get to the room or breakfast. Otherwise a lovely property to stay in the heart of Mill Valley.

Great hotel right in the redwoods. Walks from the hotel into the woods is amazing! We did a day of just walking around in and out of the walking paths in the neighborhoods around the local area. Obviously you can walk right downtown too for a quick food comedy show across the street and shopping. The hotel room has everything situated nicely with good amount of furniture. Good space hooks in the bathroom for the towels, etc. staff was helpful and kind!

I loved everything about this hotel. It's right in town, you can walk to the Dipsea Trail. There's a fabulous breakfast spread (though they could use more vegan options) and there's also a wine evening event most nights.

This is a very comfortable inn with a unique atmosphere. Visiting in November we were very nestled in among redwood trees and aspens which were partially in color. There was an open patio area for use in warmer weather for a very expansive breakfast buffet that included quiches, pastries, waffles and smoked salmon and bagels. It is located in town with easy access to restaurants, shops, art galleries and music.

Very easy check in process. Rooms have everything you need. Cheese and wine hour was a perfect addition to our stay. The front desk makes reservations to the local Italian restaurant, which was delicious. The continental breakfast had a large array of options! Beautiful hotel within the redwoods of Mill Valley!

Very nice location. You can explore Mill Valley easily. The wine and cheese evening get together is a nice touch. Breakfast is superb. Easy access to Muir Woods. Don’t forget to make parking and park reservations

Beautiful property and everything was delightful from check-in through our morning breakfast and check out. I even accidentally left some clothing and they contacted me and made arrangements for me to get them back. The breakfast was fantastic!! I’ll definitely stay here again.
