parking problems, to hard to find parking for $15 a day I paid for 2 days and firts day I park on street because was not parking on premises

Please fix the elevator! The door closes too quickly! Almost closed on my wife and grandson, twice. Had I not stopped the door from closing it would have hit them. Lastly, you should noise control/quiet hours after 10pm-7am.

This place barely looks like the pics. It is really more like an poorly aged motel. The rooms are not modern. The carpet was very old. The shower never got very warm. The pool towels were stained and many of the lounge chairs were ripped and unusable. The pool was also very cold. The front office staff were friendly enough.

Stay was ok. Rooms are a little outdated. It has a decent pool and hot tub but no night light for the area.

Very clean. Very near a lot of restaurants, convenient stores, and the missiin valley mall, so there's the convenience of having that near by. Private parking garage. Beds were comfortable, not stiff. Internet offered. There's a pool and jacuzzi, and a small laundry room. Overall, great experience.

The parking deposit was not disclosed anywhere until arrival. Paid a deposit to park overnight, plus an additional fee per car. We had 2 vehicles and parking alone, the total was $75 of unexpected charges before even getting a key to a room. The first room given to me seemed like a housekeeper hasn't touched it since the 80's. Very strong smell of mold and mildew, stains on the couch, rust in the bathtub, and wallpaper peeling. Went back to front desk and immediately switched rooms. To my surprise, the second room smelled like soap. Seems very strange to me to distribute rooms without quality inspections. Both rooms were on the same floor, but complete opposites when it came to cleanliness. The following morning, the fire alarm went off. Upon calling front desk, they told us that not all guests were notified of said fire drill. Seems strange to hold a property-wide fire drill but not inform ALL of your guests. The fire alarm was going off before 10am. Imagine waking up in a panic because the fire alarm is going off, then having a hard time falling back to sleep. Checkout wasn't until noon but we ended up checking out at 10am. There were far too many issues and hidden fees that were not disclosed until after checking in. The gym was also closed, and the underground parking didn't feel safe at all. Also, the property is poorly lit with some exit signs not illuminated at all. As a first time visitor, it left an impression on me, but not in a good way. Won't stay here ever again!

It met my expectations for the price so not bad honestly. The parking garage for guests was a huge plus, the outside of the building could be a bit cleaner as far as the steps and railings but hey there’s always something right? No breakfast available, room and pool area were very clean in my opinion. Would definitely stay again for the price you can’t beat that.

Please Expedia, do not promote this business. I wish I could get my money back. The elevator to take you to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors shakes really bad & closes on you as you’re trying to get on & off the elevator. It’s not safe. They do not offer breakfast in the morning. They charge you $15.00 a day to park your car in the parking lot. The water pressure fluctuates as you’re taking a shower. The toilet is really loud when you flush. The pillows were hard & flat. The pullout couch bed didn’t have pillows. The tv only got 3 clear channels. All the others were scrambled or blacked out. The room lighting was very dark. The pool lights don’t come on at night. You will be swimming in the dark at night. That too is a safety hazard. I again really wish I hadn’t booked there. You should really take them off your website.

Gym is not functional, tore down, incomplete weight sets, treadmills didnt work. Wiring exposed feom walls

Property is run down. Very old,Smells of mold upon walking in. Only good thing about the property is the property manager was super friendly and understanding.

The hotel was dingy and smelled like smoke even though there were sign around for no smoking. I made sure to keep my shoes on because the floor felt wet. I brought this up to the staff. They were apologetic but said this is the way the hotel is.

The room was dirty. Tube from shower was dirty. Tv was out dated only had antenna channels. Every other hotel I’ve ever stay at at least had the option for you to connect to Netflix ,Hulu, YouTube etc.

Dirty room and garage got sick from there

The room smelled dirty and moldy. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was no turn down service, so we couldn’t get clean towels. House keeping was only there for 4 hours a day, so had a hard time getting extra towels. We got 2nd floor room and people above us were jumping and running around. We thought the ceiling was going to collapse on us. Called front desk and all they said they can do is call the room, but it didn’t help. They still kept running and jumping into late hours of the night. Would never stay here again.

Room had roaches, AC vents were disgusting and the room stunk bad. Shower water was running since we arrived and the handle was hard to operate.

While the staff was friendly and quick to respond to problems, the room itself was gross. There were stains all over the carpet and the couch. The door needed to be pushed harder than normal to be opened and closed. Would not stay here again.

This hotel was an absolute disaster from the moment we walked in. I booked it for a family of five based on the photos and description online, which were completely misleading. The room was filthy. We found a roach right away, the beds looked disgusting, and there was someone else’s hair on a towel. That alone should’ve been enough to walk out. The curtains were full of holes, letting in light like they’d been chewed through. The walls were cracked, the bathroom door frame was literally falling apart, and the lamp had stains on the shade. Everything felt run-down, neglected, and honestly just gross. To make it worse, the front desk staff, Walter I believe, was rude and dismissive, like he couldn’t care less about the condition of the place or the fact that I was clearly upset. The only good thing about this stay? Getting my money back. And even that felt like a miracle. Bottom line: Avoid this place like the plague. Or don’t — if you enjoy roaches, dirty towels, crumbling walls, and a full-on horror movie vibe.
You’re better off sleeping in your car.

Room was very cute, bunk beds for the kids and they loved it. My oldest daughter and I had a king size bed for the 2 of us which was great except we woke up covered in bug bites. Also roaches in the room. Staff was very friendly

Absolutely disturbing. After checking in I found used condoms in my trash can of a supposedly clean room. Called the front desk and told them and they showed no concern. Just told me to put the trash can outside for a maid to pick up. So disappointing

Very dated. Lumpy bed and itchy bed sheets. TV remote was taped together and difficult to use. Glad it was only one night.

Room was kind of run down. We found an old bag of someones soap in the shower - which made us wonder how well the room was cleaned. For the price, I doubt I'll go back.

Descent price, but not very accommodating. Asked for one extra pillow upon check in and they couldn’t do it because of the time? Asked again in the morning and they still couldn’t. Overall fair for price though. No desk or mirror anywhere other than bathroom and only one bed side table. No way to connect phone to TV for streaming like most other hotels

Location was good its close to alot of Entertainment and Restaurants. The issue i had with my actual stay was my room smelled like smoke like it was penetrated into the Carpet. The beds were super stiff and the water pressure for the shower was really week. Also they take a $75 as a deposit but when they gave it back to me i didnt get the full amount in return.

Room was nice, really had to push the front door to get it to open. The up stairs neighbors were a little loud. Comfortable beds, kids loved the bunk beds. Did find a nice sized spider in the shower in the morning but no other bugs. Great hotel for the price.

The property itself was decent. A place for a low price. The beds both had stains on them and the shower and toilet would randomly run for no reason throughout the night. The rooms are right next to the freeway making it noisy at night. There is very limited parking and very small spaces. You get what you pay for though. Not a bad place for a single night stay.

The staff was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel is very "tired". The reviews and ranking are correct, it is 5 or 6 level hotel. Beds are comfortable but the rooms are really old. Our bathroom had a tub that always had running water. No way to stop it. The hot water in the sink for the bar would make a full rotation so you had to delicately find the exact spot to stop the water. It was clean, but just really old. The bathroom fan sounded like a chainsaw, etc. It wasn't miserable and we were just there for the night, I would not want to be here for a longer stay. I think a little care can get this place to a solid & and make it much more enjoyable.

Nothing special, modern or unique about the hotel. But it was clean and beds were clean as well. Carpet, on the other hand, were very dirty. Clean beds and bathroom. Style of room and bathroom were an older style, flat bedding and dim lighting. Overall good stay for just needing a place to lay our heads at night.

We arrived at the property extremely tired and stressed out after traveling with a newborn baby. I had to wait for 20 minutes to check in because the guy at the counter was having a long, slow, casual conversation with the guy checking in before me. He could see that I was waiting and they had a long ranging conversation on a variety of topics. Just let me check in and then you can talk all night for all I care.

They over booked the hotel and canceled our stay and did not email nor call us and my family came from Los Angeles. At 12am I had to look for a hotel that had rooms available. This hotel had poor service

When you come to San Diego and stay at any place in Hotel Circle, more than 90% of the time will be 20+ years old. As I come very often, we look for places renovated and with good staf. This hotel used to be "La Quinta" but it is painted, clean and most important, all the staf were very friendly. We needed some help with the AC, and in 5 minutes a very nice guy came and fixed it. Asked for more towels, used the pool, everybody did a good job.

Paid for breakfast and didn’t get it, small and smelly nothing like the pictures no coffee staff never came to clean our room or give extra towels when I asked for it. I asked to take the trash even after I gathered it all for them they just threw trash bags on our bed we had to buy our own toilet paper. Ac didn’t work this place is terrible I have a two year old and I’ll never go back even if free I wouldn’t tell anyone to stay here either . People were sleeping in the parking structure

The room I was assigned had a toilet water tank wouldn’t fill up all the way. The water from the toilet kept running. The noise of running toilet water makes for a long night. I immediately got with maintenance (Ray). He and Gustavo tried to fix it but the toilet’s water valve was striped and couldn’t be turned off to do the repair. Long story short, they switched me to another room. Because of the inconvenience the hotel gave me a 3pm late check out the next day. The reason I’m writing this review is because although there was an issue concerning the toilet, the maintenance men Ray and Gustavo were very, diligent, professional, courteous and quick to address the problem. The front desk was also very accommodating, attentive and customer service oriented. All of these characteristics are important and sometimes not given when the customer is trying to get hotel management to address an issue. Especially an issue that wasn’t caused by the customer. This isn’t a perfect world. Things go wrong and stuff happens. Sometimes it’s not how your start off, but how you finish. And good customer service makes all the difference. Hats off to Ray, Gustavo and Myles.

We (my two children, niece, and sister ) checked in super late around 11, I didn’t get the room I ordered they gave it away and then said they upgraded me to a room that smelled awful and stuffy, we went to bed left around 12 packed our bags zipped them put the do not disturb sign on when we came back the door was open the do not disturb sign was on the ground our bags were open and my sister iPhone was stolen I went o the front desk (with my phone recording) and she immediately said I was telling but I have everything on film and basically she denied anyone stealing anything but the iPhone was sitting on the counter horrible place to stay I wouldn’t stay at this place if my life depended on it I’d rather sleep in my car Not to mention they don’t even do room service until the third day so no one should’ve even been in my room as I was only staying two night This place takes no accountability for their employees nor is there any accommodations it’s a motel 6 with a different name.

Room walls were dirty. Night stand lamps didn't work but the one reason i would never go back or recommend this place is because the toilet was clogged before we set foot in the room. I called for maintenence and the maintenence guy came and handed me a plunger for me to fix it. Why are they charging for maintenence if they make the guest do the work! My wife spoke to 2 guys upon checking out and they basically sided with the maintenence guy. Didnt bother to actually investigate why maintenence did that.

Arrival to the front desk when checking in was easy and simple interaction with staff was comforting.

It is right next to other hotels and restaurants. 14 miles from San Diego Zoo.

The property area was fine. I liked thr mission Valley area , San Diego

First time that I had to pay to park in the hotel’s parking lot, odd but ok, I would expect those fees to be included. Easy aces to restaurants and freeways

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, but the property itself felt outdated, with amenities in need of upgrades. Additionally, the surrounding area seemed a bit sketchy, which impacted the overall experience. It’s an okay option for a short stay but not ideal for those seeking modern facilities or a more secure-feeling location.

The property is located in a great area close to food and shopping. The night was great with no noise. The parking was a little tight had fun watching people try to park in some stalls.

Convenient location, parking and pet fees were much more reasonable than many of the other hotels in the area. The windows/door dont seem to block much of the outside noise; so it may be good to have ear plugs for a light sleeper.

Old run down hotel that was dirty. Fitness center was closed and the breakfast area was closed. They did not offer to clean the room each night. Room was loud and warm. Would not stay there again. Oh and they also surprised us with a $15 parking charge.

In the listing it said free parking and they said they policy had just changed. Also, the breakfast advertised was not what was given at the time of stay. The bathroom in our room was not cleaned properly either.

Stay was Ok family trip. They say online breakfast included. They are not serving breakfast. They have a $75 deposit which is refundable. They didn't mentioned on reservation.

Beware, the photos are doctored. This used to be a La Quinta, and the outside signs still stay this, unlike the photo you see saying Mission Inn. The photo showing breakfast also untrue, you get a paper bag with warm water & 2 pastries. We reserved a king suite, got a rundown room with 2 queens. Tried to charge us for parking as well. It was a place to sleep, but with old pillows. We were exhausted & not up to going anywhere else.

What happened to the FREE breakfast we have always enjoyed and THOUGHT we paid for it???

When I book it said breakfast included. I woke up early and they only had coffee. The shower had rust. Rooms are very small. And the photos are misleading. Also, they charge $15 to park your car.
