First visit & will return. Lobby Inviting & Relaxing. Bar & restaurant great menu & chef with many tvs with many sports to watch . Videos games outdoor seating & separated area with fit pits for conversation. Close to town. I really liked after on 101 for hour just ark & don’t have to leave! The property is fairly clean, the restaurant is now complete (which is a great option), the fitness center is pretty minimal and small (i.e. no freeweights or weight machines at all). I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and finally got a top floor room. The age of the hotel lends itself to very loud, creaky ceilings (floors from above) if you are staying on the first or second floor). My displeasure with this particular stay was that "reserving" a room through Expedia negates any Hilton Honors perks, which was never disclosed (in a visible way) and the clerk checking me never indicated that there would be a problem...we were granted the 'free' water in the room for being Hilton honors members, but not the food/beverage credits per our Honors perks preferences. so.... don't use Expedia if you want your Hilton Honors perks.

They need a better market in the hotel with food items. Also pool is beautiful and should have food and beverage service. Coffee maker knocks the cup out and spills the coffee. Propert itself is very hip and swanky. Style is great. Roof top is amazing with great views.

Very cool vibe at this hotel especially if you are young or have young kids with you. The hotel has two spaces for gathering. The inside space that serves food and drinks and has multiple screens for sports and games galore. Then there is a serene outdoor space with fire pits and comfy chairs and couches and giant sized scrabble board in the wall and a massive light brite game along with other games to play. You really don’t see that much given our obsession with electronics as a society so if you are looking for a nice hotel in San Luis Obispo, CA that’s fun and hip Check it out

This was good for our stay in SLO. We went to the college, spent time downtown and did some hiking. All were easy to get to from here. We would stay again! The hot tub and pool were closed for repairs. This was the only downside.

The hotel is charming and the decor was great, however there were some annoyances. The hotel restaurant has no servers and ordering is through an app. The refrigerator in the room did not work. The shower head was fairly antiquated for such a nice looking hotel. We were assured we would get maid service during our stay when we asked and they did not provide it. Friendly, but seemingly not having the necessary staff to run the hotel properly.

Nice location by the highway and friendly staff. Didn't feel like the hotel was too cleanly as we used the coffee machine in the room and it smelled moldy. Other than that, it was a nice experience as a one stop and go stay.

The carpets throughout this hotel are completely gross. Every carpet (hallways, stairwell, my room) is stained. Not here and there, but every square foot. I've been visiting this hotel about 1x per year for at least 6 years. 6 Years ago, the carpets looked clean and pretty cool. But it's clear that it's time to update. They're absolutely disgusting. The faux leather headboard in my room was also falling apart. The current owners of this hotel should be ashamed of how far behind they are in investing in upkeep.

Our room carpet had 100s of stains and was incredibly hard to look at and walk on. The walls on every side were very thin and you could hear everything from all neighbors. I’m sorry but not at all worth a 300+ dollar room. We just can’t accept the lack of cleanliness!

It's a stylish little hotel for the price. Rooms are clean and trendy. They reach out to you during the stay to see how it's going which is nice. Only downside is it is super noisy. Stomping feet above you, hallway conversations at 7am, outdoor noise. My guess is it's an older hotel they revamped, but never added in soundproofing.

The beds were so comfortable, we slept great. Only downside was paying for parking and the walls are thin so we woke up several times to neighbors slamming the doors. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were cleaned and restocked daily, really enjoyed the service.

Rooms do not have enough light. The only light sources in the room are two table lamps with very dim light & a light outside the bathroom. I had some office work to do but was unable to finish it because the light was very dim. They only service the room once every 5 days- just replenish the towels. If I had to clean my room & make my bed myself, I would rather stay at an airbnb & not pay the exorbitant room charge. All in all the property is a glorified motel.

We had a confirmed reservation with hotels.com but the hotel staff said we were "Not in the system." Hotel staff had not rooms or acknowledgment of the third party reservation. Hotels.com staff tried to contact Wayfarer to discuss, but hotel staff didn't answer the phone and hotels.com let our call drop. No one called us back or followed up on the chat stream we had started originally. we requested a call back but got no assistance.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Wayfarer. Josh was a great with check-in and throughout our stay with much hospitality. The housecleaning crew seemed happy and they were polite and accommodating. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, (king bed). We will return.

The front desk personnel were always friendly. The restaurant was ok. Food good, but service was a tad slow and at first not very helpful. My granddaughters enjoyed spending time in the Schoolyard patio area. Thank you for creating that space for children and families.

For $400.00 a night I would at least like a comfortable bed. It was so hard. Food at the restsurant was just so so. I wouldn't eat there again. In town has so many great choices. The staff were very nice. If you are going to CalPoly the location is good.
