This is a very nice place to stay. Right off the 405 so it is easy to get around. The staff are friendly and kind. I will stay here again. Only 2 drawbacks. The air conditioners are wall units and are loud. They do have charging for EVs but they only have Tesla hookups.

The girl who checked up in was awesome. It was nice she was so attentive and friendly, especially working the late shift. We've stayed here numerous times but haven't been they're in a couple of years. Was surprised to see that a large portion of the parking lot was reserved for EV's only and now they charge for regular parking which was new. I guess if you're driving a gas vehicle you get to pay for the upgrades for the EV drivers. Next time I'll stay at another hotel.

Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Shower was dirty and unpractical, seemed like an unfinished construction job. Shower head was mounted at chest height for a 5’5” person and pointed toward the shower curtain that had nothing to hold the water in but a 1” ledge that was more of a tripping hazard than anything. So I had to hold the shower head my whole short shower since there was NO HOT WATER AT ALL. Wallpaper was peeling off and there was no working vent. A lot of these things I could just brush off, I get it, I’m not staying at a five star resort nor paying that price but having a shower that goes above room temperature water is something that is essential. What lost me as a customer completely was the fact that when I brought this up to the gentleman that was checking me out the next morning he completely breezed over it and did not offer even a simple apology. Terrible customer service! Their breakfast also sucked! Take your money elsewhere!

One of the cleaner, newer examples of the brand. Rooms were comfortable, outfitted w fridge and microwave, air conditioning worked well, and staff was polite and helpful. The hot breakfast was adequate, but if you want dining, a pool, or other amenities this is not your hotel. Nice shower in the tiny bathroom, but typical for SoCal - the shower output was a miserly trickle.

Perhaps because the area is not the best part of Van Nuys, I ran into situations checking in that I am not used to in hotels. I had to sign off on a number of items I found strange if not illegal. First among them was that I agreed that the hotel was not responsible for any items stolen while there. But if I did not sign, I would not get my room. The room itself was ok, though the bed was very hard (and I like firm beds). At first, I thought the bathroom had no hot water, though I eventually realized it did, but the hot and cold lines were switched in the sink faucets. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of foods that were tasty. The breakfast room provided a variety of seating plans and was comfortable. This part of Van Nuys has limited hotel options, and based on what I saw, this might be one of the better options. I think changes in the registration process would make that more palatable.

The young lady working the desk was polite, friendly, helpful and professional. All staff we came in contact with from maintenance to maid service were friendly and helpful. A special thank you to the lady working the breakfast buffet. She was helpful and a delight. Very well-run hotel!!

I was not able to check in, their system was down and just told me “go find another hotel” they didn’t apologize or did something to accommodate me and my family. They told that they were going to called me to refund my money and I haven’t heard back from them. I want my money back I had to change my plans and look for another place and pay again

They called me at 4am. They said I had a wake up call. I did not. I asked how or who requested the wake up call. They could not tell me. Horrible. Rooms are not quiet, street noise. If you are looking for a good nights rest I would not stay here.

The staff at the hotel were so nice and so helpful! They did all that we asked. The housekeeping did a great job keeping everything clean. The front desk did a great job getting us stuff we needed and helped us feel very safe and cared about.

The staff are very rude. They wouldn't allow me to check in even after paying. The manager was never available. I called corporate for a complaint and they never called back. I paid for 2 nights only got one and still fighting for an answer

Site I booked room on did not show there was a parking fee. Rooms were clean and express breakfast was excellent. Staff at breakfast were friendly and efficient. Only one clerk working at 3:00 check in time. Had to wait 30 minutes to check in.

FYI: they are renovating. We had 2 rooms, one had a newer bathroom, one did not and you could tell it needed replaced. Not in the best area of town. Health dept shut down hot breakfast so they provide prepacked muffins, cereal, yogurt, etc. It was not the cleanest in the hallways but the rooms looked clean. Prob wouldn't stay here again for the price. We picked it for our family as it was close to Universal and was supposed to have a hot breakfast.

When we are in town we usually stay at another place but we decided to try it here this time and to our surprise it exceeded our expectations!!! Checking in staff was patient and very friendly!!! The place had security outside when we got there and it was also very clean with tons of parking. We were accommodated to a room to our needs and the room itself was clean and had all amenities we needed for our stay. Morning breakfast was hot but they did have cold options which was great! Definitely will be changing to this location for our usual stay in this part of California!!!
