Comfort Suites Visalia - Convention Center

The room we were in had just been painted (lots of fumes), there was no hot water in the shower (tried for 20 …yet there was hot water in the bathroom sink), and the insecticide fumes in the hallway were so strong. The size of the room was nice. We were able to switch to another room the next day. Very thankful for that.

We stayed there during the renovation period, so the experience was a bit mixed. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. However, our room was facing the street and it was quite noisy during the weekend. The main downside was definitely the air conditioning, which was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep. Other than the noise, the stay was fine overall.

Okay so overall it’s a clean and nice hotel. The breakfast is pretty good and the staff in that department was really nice. My review is more about how absolutely annoying it was to not be told that construction in the literal room right above me would start just before 6am. The front desk staff was pleasant but not really enthusiastic which is fine but they could at least substitute the apathy with information. No apology or any acknowledgment that the room they placed me in was gonna be so loud so early. There are AI slop flyers posted about the construction but only to thank patrons for their patience which is crazy cuz I had none after that obnoxious loud construction woke me up an hour before I had planned. I would come back here again cuz it’s a good price in a good location but I would for sure verify construction was complete before booking.
