Easy parking outside the door.

It's a nice place, quiet. Staff is friendly and beds are comfortable. They also have a nice outdoor pool.

The speed bumps are incredible dangerous and damaging if vehicles!!!! They’re so chewed up by bottoming out vehicles. I was on my motorcycle and bottomed out hard. Also going so slow you nearly fall over. These bumps are unnecessarily damaging cars

The beds were full size not queen size. The bathroom had only 2 towels. We asked staff for pool towels and they told us to use the room towels, which we didn’t have enough of to begin with, then bring back the used towels to the office and they would give us more. Cops showed up during the stay to kick out some hookers. Toilet took 20 minutes to refill. Place was rough. Pool was clean. Shower had great pressure.

The room was clean, the telephone didn't work, the TV didn't work properly so I had to go down to the front desk and they had to send maintenance up to reset the DirecTV. One of the main reasons we came here was because it had laundry, laundry was broken!!! Second reason we came here was because of the pool, the pool was amazing, the water was very clean and not over chlorinated!!!

Simple. Has a nice grass area for dogs to use the bathroom.

My only complaint is the speed bumps from h--- in the parking lot. If you drive non-SUV vehicle, be very careful, or you will leave your exhaust system behind!

The room was a good size. It was clean and comfortable and quiet. The queen size bed was also comfortable. The curtains were not blackout curtain so they let some of the light in. No toiletries are included except for soap. No hair dryer either. Free coffee is offered in the reception area from 6 or 7 am until 10 am which was nice but some of the people in our group did not drink coffee. Pool area seemed nice but we didn’t have time to use it. The AC worked well but it was noisy. I wished there was another mirror other than the bathroom mirror. Overall we had a pleasant stay and we appreciated the friendly staff.

Overall this was a good value. The room was clean and neat. There really aren't many amenities at a Motel 8. There was a microwave and refrigerator. Parking was easy but you need to remember that if you are on the second floor there are only stairs.

Dark hard liquid like substance stains scattered on top of bed spread. Cigarette burn holes in bed spread. Bathroom floor, sink, shower floor and shower walls had the MOST pubic hair I’ve ever seen at one time in my life. Pubic hair EVERYWHERE in the bathroom. Not to mention a small black beetle trying to crawl out of the bathtub. The shower curtain had either multiple tears or burn holes on it, and there were even what looks exactly like drops of blood on the floor where the outside of the tub and floor meet. Never again would I pay for that pubic palace. And the look from the clerk at checkout? Flat complacency and a monotone wow sorry about that.

Beds had bed bugs and the graveyard attendant told us that it would not be possible because they do regular inspections (wonder why?) and no bugs have been reported ( of course because they mostly come out at night or when a host is present). It was on the Labor Day weekend. Friday night after a long day, we retreated to our room at about 10:30pm. My son grew some knowledge in the subject after having experienced bed bugs at his dorm for a month. He knew something was up. After turning and tossing in bed, sure enough, he found the first one. Then more and more. He literally turned his bed upside down and recorded each bug he was finding in the process. Next was my bed and with all the proof necessary we complained and no more questions asked, we got a new room. We don't know if the room had bugs because by 12:30 midnight we were exhausted and just knocked out. Be aware, if you see the mattress inside these cases, all zipper up, be guaranteed there will be bed bugs. You may not know about it unless you have experienced it like my son did prior to this day. I thought that the itching was due to skin dryness. Now I know better. The rooms were clean. They didn't smell bad at all. The only issue were the bed bugs. Also, noise on the second floor. The attendant said there were no occupants on the second floor. I found out the next day that she got my room # wrong and that there were people on the second floor. I was moved to another room anyway so, I didn't deal with the noise.

Not a quiet stay. Walls are very thin. I let them know they need to contact their exterminator because I killed 6 small cockroaches. We got very little sleep due to worrying about what might crawl on us and the people constantly goining in and out of the rooms.

Staff did not return my CA Driver's License and when asked they denied having it. Also the room had a few small roaches and the bed was very uncomfortable.

I wish I could upload pictures. The bathroom was covered in ants. When I complained the lobby staff acted like it wasn’t their problem. Literally said that she ‘didn’t know there were ants when I (she) gave you (me) the room.’ I had to pay extra to get out of the ant-invested room because again I was inconveniencing them! The nerve, I know. I’m a prototypical Karen. The staff was politely indifferent to my issue. Still just as aggravating. What is the standard at this hotel? I’m seriously asking this question to anyone related to this hotel who may be reading!!! New room had burn holes in the comforters and a dead roach. Again wish I could post the pictures. Downtown Visalia is a super fun quaint little downtown area and a great base camp for the Sequoia parks. just spend a little extra money and DON’T STAY HERE. I have been to a ton of Motel 6s and other cheap hotels. This is the worst Motel 6 I have ever been to. Not the worst hotel I’ve ever been to tho.

It was okay. There was no hair dryer, facial tissues, or shampoo. Close to restaurants. Towels were kind of small. We were required to give a cash deposit of $60. I gave them three $20 bills, but when we left, we were given $50 & $10 bills with holes in them from being stapled. Was not happy with this as I prefer to carry smaller bills. A dirty dust rag was left on the table. The bed was comfortable.

For the price, property is reasonable. Pics obviously look better than the room--it's a dated property that has some updates. It's maintained well, but is a bit noisy from the highway across the street. They provide soap, but no shampoo, so plan accordingly.

Refrigerator is not working, aircon is too noisy. Staff are friendly

The property is mostly well maintained and quite clean. Unfortunately the TV did not work properly during the stay (a satellite dish connection issue) and maintenance did not respond to the problem during my stay. Also, the necessity of having to pay a deposit in cash ($60) was inconvenient as I do not often carry a lot of cash on me, and for most other hotels a deposit is charged to a card instead. While this fact does appear on the hotel's company (Motel 6) website, it does not appear on all 3rd party websites such as hotels.com. That issue should be addressed.

Nice place. The only down side is you can hear highway 198 all night. Wish the doors were sound proof.

The lady in the office was great! Room was clean, everything worked, and wasn’t bothered by anybody! Had a great stay!

TV had repairs that took 3 hrs and my bags were in the room and I hauled them upstairs so I had to wait. Asked for an adjustment to the price but they never responded so I went down to the receptionist and was told the manager was at a concert with her son but never bother to call that afternoon/evening or the next day. I’ll never stay there again.

One staff member was nice at the front desk but today the next staff person was not nice!

They surprise me with requiring a cash deposit. Would not put it on my credit card. Front person was rude and unprofessional. Hotel had homeless people they stay with cash only. My check out was delayed since they needed to check my room before giving back my cash deposit. Very poorly run hotel. Will never stay there again.

Erica the manager was so rude! I had a lay over stayed couple of nights. Worse service ever! I stay here because they allow pets ! Other than that service is GETTO! Everyone is saying money came here to save money But had a horrible time with the service !!

Excellent service

The front desk lady was extremely rude when asked if we could switch from a smoking to non smoking room. She gave me attitude and explained it was my fault, which I clearly understood from being the one who booked the room. I understand she must deal with a lot of people, but to be rude off the bat was extremely uncalled for! I was merely asking a question. The room itself was FILTHY. The room she continued to put us in had the filter in the restroom literally hanging from the ceiling. The walls had dirt stains and the bed sheets had cigarette burns all over it. It felt like she chose the worst room she had to offer after being upset by my request. Horrible service. In the morning the cleaning ladies were literally screaming to each other from the two rooms next to us. They woke me up from how loud they were talking , and it was only 9 am.

Stay was fine. Only issue was all the homeless people roaming the property, but that’s a problem thoughout Visalia.

It seemed to be typical motel 6. Room was clean and comfy but lacked any tissue (kleenex), stationary or writing implement. The bath did not have a bathmat or safety strips in the tub to prevent slipping when showering. The "closet" was not well lit, there wasn't a bag for laundry items/dirty clothes. The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient and the property was clean, quiet and felt safe. It wasn't really convenient to shopping, dining but was easy access to and from the highway.

When asked about safety in area clerk couldn’t say if it was safe area or not said “it’s ok most of the time” that did not make me feel safe with two small girls and people drinking outside my door.

The place was very nice in comparison to other motel 6s I had ever been to. The room was super clean, there was a fridge , a microwave and t.v. the check-in was fast but they do require cash deposit instead of credit card. It was quiet, beds were large. It was tricky to get to the address since there are so many one way streets. It was also a quick gateway to Sequoia National Park, which was our reason for visiting the area.
