Thank you to Ms. Annette for her southern hospitality offered daily during our stay. Downside was the elevator was noisy, shaky and sometimes very limited. Each evening there was little to no parking available to us and since our key cards were limited to access this became annoying quickly.

The room was large and quiet. There are several nearby restaurants. Parking is ample and well lit. Bed was very comfortable.

Rooms were clean and great space and storage . Enjoyed the pool and the outdoor BBQ area. Only thing is the kitchen area floors weren't very clean and cookware a pot and pan were very scorched not able to really use . I would stay again but would need my own cookware .

It was perfect for our big group. We had 2 separate bedrooms and the living room with a pull out bed and kitchen area. Two vanities- in the bathroom and a second one by the 2 bedrooms- which worked out great when we all were getting ready. The carpets could be replaced but overall we were happy with the accommodations. The patio in the back was nice. The pool is across the parking lot at the sleep inn, which was a little confusing but we asked at the front desk and they were very helpful in answering all of our questions.

Not a 5 star hotel, but a good value for the money, quiet, easy convenient parking, decent room, clean, well stocked. Better than average (included) breakfast, good selection of breakfast foods. If in Wilmington and need a place to stay I highly recommend mainStay suites of Wilmington. It's my new "go to" hotel when I'm in Wilmington.
Not a 5 star hotel, but a good value for the money, quiet, easy convenient parking, decent room, clean, well stocked. Better than average (included) breakfast, good selection of breakfast foods. A nice suite hotel with reasonable prices. Close to beaches, shopping, and dining. Room was decent size with everything needed. The pool is outdoors and across the parking lot as it is shared with another hotel. The staff was knowledgeable about local beaches with helpful suggestions. The breakfast was a typical hotel buffet with the basics.

The hotel had a smell. The fitness center was very small only three cardio machines and no cleaning products. Went to front desk asking for cleaning wipes she said she didn’t have any and offered hand sanitizer. The treadmill wasn’t fully functional. Room wouldn’t cool down had to buy fan for air circulation in bedroom.

At first, I wasn't going to leave a review because I typically don't like to complain, but I do feel that the reviews/rating for this hotel are misleading and I wanted to let other travelers know. We were in town for a quick, one night stay to visit the beach during a trip to NC from another state. One one hand, I will say that the most important things to me about a hotel stay were not problems at this location- I did not see any bugs, and the location seemed safe. The staff was friendly. Having said this though, the carpets in this hotel, both in the hallways and the room, are badly in need of replacing. There is a persistent odor in the hallways. The elevator grinds and squeaks so much that it makes you concerned that you will get stuck. The sofa/pull out bed is old and stained. The key cards work inconsistently. My daughter described it best: it seems like they do the daily upkeep cleaning well, but deep cleaning and renovations are a desperate need. All in all, getting to visit the beach was worth the one night stay, but I wouldn't return to this location.

It was sufficient. The toilet flapper was broken and they fixed it the next day (so I took the tank lid off to flush the whole first night). They were out of shampoo. The elevator broke during our stay. The pool was across the parking lot and shared with the neighboring hotel. We left a night early.

The room was absolutely filthy! The couch was stained, torn & thread bare. Stains on the bed covers. The refrigerator was rusty & dented. The carpet was stained. We only stayed because we had drove 10 hours & couldn’t get a refund. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Black mold was clearly visible on the air vents inside the room. Both the bathtub drain and the bathroom sink drain drained water very slowly. I was able to pull up a wad of hair and trash from the bathroom sink drain, but it didn't make much of an improvement in drainage. There was a large, black hair hanging from one of the clean towels on the towel rack. The living room wall separating the bedroom from the rest had brown streaks running down it, as if food or drink had somehow landed on the wall and run down from about six feet above the floor.

Just don’t. Room smelled and had fruit flies. Bed sheets didn’t feel clean and my skin itched. We asked to have the room serviced with clean sheets and towels. They only gave us 2 additional towels and nothing else. Elevator had sticky floor and didn’t feel safe. Hallway carpet was nasty. We were supposed to stay 2 nights and only stayed one

We booked a king suite for 1 night before an early flight out of ILM. Luckily, I didn’t have to be in the room for very long. Check in was fairly uneventful. Once we headed up to our room, we noticed that the carpet in the halls looked rather worn/dirty. The elevator sounds in need of repair & was questionable at best. I was nervous using it. Once inside the room I was overtaken with the stench of cigarette smoke. It was awful. There’s no way the room was cleaned & no one noticed that. We had to be up at 3am and it was after 10 so we just decided to try to rest. I also had Lysol packed in my bag so we hosed the room down & that helped a little. I woke up at 1:30 itching like crazy. I never found any bugs but both my husband & I were covered with a rash by the time we got up. I tried to shower a little before 3, but wound up standing in water in a tub that wouldn’t drain. The final kicker was trying to make some coffee only to find that there were no disposable cups. Given the rest of our experience, I wasn’t going to bet on the cleanliness of the mugs in the cabinet! Overall, I would never stay here again.

Cute room, spacious suite, nice staff, good location, easy parking, great price, 10/10. Had an unexpected third tenant by the name of Roach, refused to split the cost. And the front desk nicely told us that we were on our own, -1. Malnourished bed bugs, took us for a feast, -1. Hotel is likely haunted, had random human hair balls show up in bed on the third night, definitely not my hair and not there before. Quit a couple of them pop up throughout the night. Very comfortable bed, but nightmares and constant awakenings for all three of us (roach included) every single night. Totally recommended to be added onto the Ghost Walk location list, -1. Breakfast, yes; hot breakfast, no, -1. No toiletries besides soap, -1. Cop searching for a missing child at 2am, not the hotel’s fault though, bless the family, -0. Very enchanted experience, 5/10, might try it again.

I would give this zero stars. I have no idea who rated this place as excellent. It was filthy and my room REEKED of body odor and cat pee. I asked to be moved but they denied it because I booked through a third party. I gagged when I entered the room

The room exceeded expectations. Everything was very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable and fresh. Any issues that we had were promptly resolved and we felt comfortable and respected as guests. When I come back to Wilmington, I am staying here and I would highly recommend to those who are looking for a safe, affordable, and good experience visiting Wilmington.

The hotel is outdated and systems are old. Our air conditioning went out the first night and it was very hot in the room. We got no sleep at all. Staff was friendly and got us new room in the morning but only gave a 15% discount on first night

Our room was immaculate and everything was in working order. There were plenty of towels and washcloths, and everything one would expect in a kitchenette, including a small cooktop and full size frig. We only stayed for a quick overnight road trip, but it would definitely be comfortable for a single person, couple, or even a small family for a longer stay.

Suites are spacious with full size fridge, nice sitting area, and comfortable bed. Breakfast is minimal but satisfying. My room had a stale smell though, probably from former guests smoking.

A nice suite hotel with reasonable prices. Close to beaches, shopping, and dining. Room was decent size with everything needed. The pool is outdoors and across the parking lot as it is shared with another hotel. The staff was knowledgeable about local beaches with helpful suggestions. The breakfast was a typical hotel buffet with the basics.

Thank you to Ms. Annette for her southern hospitality offered daily during our stay. Downside was the elevator was noisy, shaky and sometimes very limited. Each evening there was little to no parking available to us and since our key cards were limited to access this became annoying quickly.

The front desk staff seem like they hated their jobs. They were extremely rude and seemed very annoyed by any children. Went to get breakfast, and the lady in the breakfast area seemed super annoyed that I was just simply trying to get some breakfast like I made things inconvenient for her for some reason I was there before breakfast ended so not sure why she was so rude to me The room smelled like cigarettes, even though it was non-smoking. Overall very disappointed snd felt uncomfortable and wish I would have book somewhere else.

Staff were great. The key cards are not working properly. Everytime we use its not working in our room and in the exits. We are lucky there is staff or people that stays also in the hotel who passes by so they help us to enter. We go to the front desk most of the time for it to work, which is ao frustrating since we are on the 3rd floor. In the website, it says there is a crib available but upon check in there was none. Other than that the stay was good.

Upon my arrival, Jada checked me in. She was clearly annoyed when I said I was there to check-in as she then had to tell the person she was talking to on her cell phone that she would "call them back." She exhibited absolutely no customer service skills. The athletic black leggings she wore seemed so unprofessional as well. The front desk is typically the "face" of the hotel and I can promise I will not be back. The room itself was ok, although, I did buy Clorox wipes to wipe the stains off of the walls. The second floor hallway carpent is filthy. There\'s no way that carpet should look like that.

Thought the property was centrally located in the area which I didn't expect (and was definitely convenient). Little bit of an older building, could use a refresh but it got the job done - continental breakfast was meh (like most things are) but can't complain too much. It got the job done, wouldn't be above staying at this place again.

Great for families. We loved the access to food, Target, Costco, and outlets. Close enough to university and beach. Only hot menu item for breakfast is waffles, but that's fine, they did have boiled eggs and sausage sandwiches that could be heated in microwave so that gave good savory options. Very clean, great staff.

Not a 5 star hotel, but a good value for the money, quiet, easy convenient parking, decent room, clean, well stocked. Better than average (included) breakfast, good selection of breakfast foods. If in Wilmington and need a place to stay I highly recommend mainStay suites of Wilmington. It's my new "go to" hotel when I'm in Wilmington.

Excellent location with several nice restaurants nearby. Costco is only a few blocks away, which was convenient for members to fill their gas tanks or do some shopping. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast consisted of the usual offerings of waffles, cereal, muffins, fruit, coffee, juices, etc. We will stay at Mainstay Suites on future visits to Wilmington, NC.

This is the perfect spot for an individual on a business trip, however, it offered little for families. The hotel was clean, but the breakfast was very sparse and we were told each morning of our 3 night stay to, "go across the street if you want coffee-we are out." The breakfast was almost non-existent! No fruit, eggs or much else besides waffles, juice and coffee. Not nearly as good as any other budget hotel we have ever stayed in Also, asked for housekeeping after first night, was old it would be done. Came back @ 3 pm and I was not. No staff on hand to do it then.

Sharing a pool on the other area and not having enough towels, both times that we went to use it. Also with the Continental breakfast offer, there was nothing for people with bariatric surgery who cannot have carbs or sugars so I was limited to eating nothing for breakfast

If you need the most basic hotel for an overnight, and you're okay with surface dirtiness in general disrepair, this might be for you. Everything is pretty dirty. The absolute necessities like the sheets and the shower seemed clean enough but everything else is being actively ignored. Room smelled musty. Mold spots were forming on the ceiling next to white patches of killz covering the previous mold spots. It seems to be in a bit of a sketchy area and there are people lurking about all night around the parking lot - not guests. Park under a street light and where you can see your vehicle from your room. Remove all valuables. Breakfast is standard cheap hotel Continental but on the cheap side even for that. Definitely will not stay again. If you can get the night for under a hundred bucks and you're desperate, go for it.
