An old property that is in need of an update. Its location is perfect because it sits right on the bus line to go skiing. A very unusual layout with the floors in the elevator. Very difficult to get around with luggage. Outside and inside hot tubs are nice, but the place is usually overcrowded. It was nice to have a restaurant that was reasonable and had good food inside the property. Overpriced for what you got and parking was a joke! Very difficult.

Extremely dated (a la 1970s)…the pool was empty and it’s in the hallway so had a creepy vibe. But if you aren’t picky and want to save a buck it’s tolerable. Rooms were clean and full kitchen was nice. Bed comfortable but tv in bedroom didn’t work so that was a drag. Good price though.

Positives: Parking was easy and our room was clean. The indoor hot tubs are large and convenient. My kids liked the game room. Negatives: This place does not have an indoor pool as their website and the pictures proclaim. It was removed some time ago and they never updated their brochures. The outdoor pool is heated, but getting in and out is frigid in the wintertime. Also, this place is a maze of steps and ramps. There are some rooms on the first floor that are not accessible by ramp, so using the hand carts takes a furniture moving team. Overall, I wasnt disgusted or unsafe, but I will find somewhere else to stay next time i visit.

We love coming here. It’s not flashy, but it has everything we need (pool, hot tubs, in room kitchen) for a family of four. And it’s convenient to skiing with a free shuttle to Vail and Beaver Creek. Kids love it, too.

Great property but pool was closed but had a hot tub outside but did close at 10pm. Great price and restaurants are really a 2-3 min walk. Free parking is great but a lodge fee of $15 per night. Lacked amenities and one clean per stay. Felt like the movie the Shinjng as off season and mostly empty but it worked well.

Rooms were decent size with separate seating area and kitchen. Kitchen had a one burner stove, no oven, full size fridge. Mattress was comfortable. Location was great, first stop for the skier bus to Beaver Creek, which helped to find seating in the morning. Plenty of parking. Ski shop on premises, and nice amenities like on site restaurant, gym, hot tub . Close to shopping and restaurants. My only complaint is the amount of stairs involved to get to room. Even after taking the elevator I still had to carry my luggage through two sets of stairs a fairly long distance. Going through the stairs with ski boots was no fun.

I would definitely stay at this property again! Everything was sparkling clean, updated and comfortable. The amenities (tv, furniture, kitchen, patio, etc.) were great. The hotel is located across the street from some great restaurants (I ate at Vin48 and it was delicious) and is centrally located (10 mins to Vail).

The good - receptionists were nice. Room was clean. Shuttle to Beaver Creek ski area was right outside the hotel - very convenient. They hosted a very nice complementary wine tasting with snacks. The not so great - no room service or fresh towels or wash cloths. Old and in serious need of renovations - probably has not been updated since the late 70s, early 80s. The layout was very weird. You walk into a tiny odd shaped room with a bed and walk through it to get to a tiny living room area and kitchenette - everything needs updating. The shower hot water didnt work right - nothing like a luke warm shower when its snowy cold weather out. The shuttle to the ski area is their saving grace but for the price and the need of renovations, its not worth it and I'd probably choose another place to stay in the area. The ski shuttle is a public shuttle and it's not tied to their hotel, it's just convenient the stop is out front

Friendly staff and very clean building and suites. Easy jump off location into the rest of Avon. Only challenge was the bed was a bit softer than preferred. Other than that, the suite was very clean and well furnished, quiet and comfortable.

Our stay went well. The room/bathroom was nicely updated and the unit was perfect for our ski weekend. Parking was easy, check in was easy. It snowed a lot!! We didn’t make it to the pool or hotubs but we will likely come back.

One BR condo facing highway 70. Impossible to keep the slider to the balcony open for the noise. Would never want to even sit on the balcony b/c of the highway noise. Entering condo is through the bedroom. Just a weird place but satisfied our overnight need. Front desk girls not aware of much. Told we couldn’t have two keys because they didn’t have enough. Told the bus to BC came every 30 Minutes. Came every 10. Only + for this lodging is the bus stop out front to BC.

It's not a bad property. But if you have luggage and ski equipment you will have a heck of a time getting to and from your room. Even if it's on the "first" floor and close to the lobby. But especially if you are on the third floor and in one of the "wings". No matter which floor you're on you have steps to content with. And the rooms have the bed right by the door and the kitchen etc towards the back.

Good location. Right on the ski bus stop. The rooms were clean. However, the layout of the hotel is a little tricky with so many levels and ramps/steps. His property is an old building has been renovated many times. We enjoyed the numerous hot tub options to handle the amount of guests. It does get noisy, especially with wheeled traffic on the rough tile floor. This creates a lot of noise from luggage/service, trolleys, etc.. in the large open hallways. The hotel staff at the reception desk are not the friendliest people. They all seem to be wishing they were anywhere but there. Barely make eye contact, below average customer service. They really don’t have any answers for you for basic questions. I get the vibe that, “I just work here“. other nearby properties are a much better experience overall. Similar price point.

The Christie met our needs for a quick trip to Beaver Creek. The rooms were clean and fairly quiet. I was concerned as we were above the interior hot tub and ping pong area but they close them early and guests were considerate and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Wonderful place to offer NON ridiculous rates in the Vail Valley with FREE parking. Only thing is that front desk staff weren't very friendly. No one smiled on 3 different check ins and the elderly lady refused to help with a small request

When checking in the person at the front desk asked what floor we would like. I said whatever since there is an elevator. She put us on the 1st floor. I realized these were only accessible with stairs. I told her that I was having knee surgery the next day and needed a room without having to climb steps. She said that was not possible. When I returned from the surgery I realized the 2nd and 3rd floors had no steps required to the room, so we were straight up lied to. This was rude and unprofessional, and the opposite of accommodating a person who is undergoing knee surgery.

Fire alarm went off at 2:30 so out in the cold for 40+ min- manager acted like it was my fault for waiting outside when I heard a fire alarm. Also gaslighted me when I brought it up. Apparently just half the lodge was evacuated but no one came to tell anyone outside when we could go back in. Figured it out when I saw people back in their condo. Lobby doesn’t have coffee- they said it’s in the room only. WiFi password wasn’t available in the room- would’ve needed to call to get that. Overall a non accommodating stay.

This is a great place to stay if you’re going to ski, especially if you’re going to ski Beaver Creek, there’s a shuttle right in front of the hotel that takes you there then you don’t have to try to find parking on the mountain. They have hot tubs and there are tons of places to eat right across the street. Our room was small and a terrible layout. But it’s a great landing pad for a ski trip and for the price it’s a win overall

The Christie offers very nice suites in various sizes and has been updated with modern decor and amenities. All units include a separate living area and efficiency kitchen. The common areas are expansive and well furnished. The layout is rather strange, but the rooms won’t disappoint. Not crazy about its restaurants, Pho Vietnamese and Subway! Fortunately the town of Avon has a number of other restaurants nearby.
