Sonesta ES Suites Denver South Park Meadows

The hotel met all expectations. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was varied. The pool and its surroundings were also perfect. One thing that could be improved is the breakfast hours: it ends very early (8:30 am; 9:00 am on weekends). Guests who come to relax usually want to sleep longer in the morning. The serving time should be extended at least until 9:30, as in most other hotels, where it usually lasts until 10:00 or even 10:30.

The outdoor pool was very nice!

Off the beaten path, really needs an upgrade. Shattered glass in the parking lot from a car window break-in a couple of nights earlier.

I gave an average rating for two reasons: there was no maid service, which is fine, but we were not informed at check in and, after three days, we needed fresh towels. However, the reason why I will not return again is parking. There are many other options close by (same style hotel) with free parking. This place charges $15 per day which is outrageous for a motel/hotel when Marriott and others are free.

The pool was nice!

We loved the numerous dog areas, and the friendliness of staff. The beds were very comfortable, and our suite was exactly what we needed.

The pool area was great with some games and a firepit. Rooms were clean and spacious.

I thought the hotel was awesome. I have stayed here several times and it has always been good. This time, however when I checked in at 4 o’clock, and I asked where the ice machine was, I was told that there is no ice machine and I have an automatic Ice machine in my freezer and it will start providing ice in about an hour. Well, it took three hours, and I still can’t believe they don’t have a nice machine…

Great place to stay...renovations are happening so wasn't too thrilled to not have gym access so I had to attend a local gym outside the hotel...and one night there was no pool access....other than that it was great. Friendly and diverse staff every shift which was pleasant to see and experience.

We could hear the person above us who seemed to be up at all hours of the night. The suites had full kitchens which was nice and everything worked, but the fridge and microwaves looked worn and old. Our kitchen only had one packet of decaf coffee for our 4 night stay. The bathroom didn’t exactly look clean. The tub drain was clogged, so you were standing in ankle deep water by the end of your shower. Sure, we could have gotten it fixed but we were in and out a lot during our stay, so it would have been a hassle to have someone come in and fix it. The shower function didn’t exactly work properly, but still got the job done. Parking was easy and fairly cheap ($5/night). Breakfast was ok, not a big selection. The area was fairly clean and quiet, though you could hear the highway. All in all, our stay was average. I’m actually surprised at all the positive reviews,

Stayed for a week, the kitchen in the room and the gym originally made me choose this place. Staff was pretty friendly the whole time. Sara was my favorite, so helpful and friendly. BUT I stayed on the third level. I killed 3 cockroaches during my stay in the little kitchen in my room. The first one climbed onto my foot while at the kitchen sink. The other 2 came out (separate days) when I closed the dishwasher door. The bathtub also drained VERY slowly and was in serious need of some liquid plumber and the AC/heating unit didn't stop at the temperature assigned. (Had it set to 69, woke up sweating the first 2 nights because the heat didn't shut itself off) Area is nice, plenty of parking, quiet. Sadly I won't go back. Has great potential, needs help and some attention paid to it.

We stay for 4 days and we don’t get any clean, front desk let us know when we check in the housekeeping it’s available every 7 days for stay , and if we need extra towels, toilet paper etc we have to go and pick up, garbage bags out the doors of the rooms looks pretty bad,rooms need a very good deep clean

Comfortable enough at the price. But facility is pretty tired, with dirty carpets, a pair of nail clippers left on the floor, stains on the couch, and mold in the bathroom. Walls are also thin and you can hear just about everything in the rooms around you.

Room was filthy. Mold in refrigerator (which made it unusable) dirt and grease on top of refrigerator and microwave, floors in dining area were sticky enough that you could hear it and feel it when you walked, carpet and couch smelled like dog, and spots and dirt were visible in bathroom area.

Upon check-in, the agent found issues unknown to us with the original room (where neither of our keys worked). The second room we did stay in had blood on the comforter among other stains; the shower curtain had 5 stains on it. There was no hand soap in the bathroom or kitchen area. There was no body soap in the shower dispenser. Upon checkout the agent thought she was doing me a favor by waiving the parking fee, which I didn't even know about. If you are going to charge almost $200 a night, there should at the very least be efficient housekeeping. So disappointing.

Lots of bugs in the shower and main rooms. Bathroom seemed dirty.

Had to ask to switch rooms as the first one had a weird cigarette and candle smell which hurt my head and nose. Second room was okay but better. Both rooms were not clean, it needed to be vacuumed. They told us they only have housekeeping every 7 days when we got there, which now makes sense. There were hairs in the bathroom walls and floors. The staff were really nice and breakfast was good.

Lobby, pool and breakfast were great. Room was mostly clean. Corners, baths and other details need some work.

My only complain its the thin walls,the guest from upstairs make too much noise and i wasn’t able to sleep very good.

The hotel is fine, in sort of a weird area outside of Denver where it's just all strip malls and sprawl. The room is good, the bathroom showers could use a more modern upgrade. The only problem was the guest staying in the room above us, always playing music loudly or watching TV loudly starting at 7:30 in the morning.

It was ok. Rooms were updated but the showers weren't. For the price it was great.

I had a problem with the refrigerator the first night I was there. It was squealing. I called front desk at 2:00am Wednesday August 20th and they said they would send maintenance man in the morning. He came 7:30 am and sprayed it with WD40. Didn't help. So i called back and they said they would clean a room and it would be ready in 90 minutes. I waited most of the day and called down to front desk and they said it was being inspected. I finally went down 30 minutes and asked about it and they said 10 minutes longer. After waiting another 15 minutes and had to ask again they finally had my room ready which was almost 4:00pm Thursday. I wasted a whole day waiting. Then I found out I couldn't stream Netflix (which on the website it said I could). I feel I need to be compensated for the inconvenience.

We had a king suite and it was very spacious and the mattress was great. No maid service since we weren’t staying over 7 days. While the place has been “renovated” it’s an old property. Parking is $5 a night which is just stupid. The door on our microwave was cracked. There is no ice machine except the one in the refrigerator, so buy yourself some ice. Outside pool area has old tables and chairs that need to be replaced. Coffee was marginal at best. Breakfast was decent. It was very convenient to everything near park meadows mall. It was a deal though but I doubt seriously if we would stay here again.

Very spacious! It was like a mini apartment. Loved the complete separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Sink, microwave and a full size fridge!

Really enjoyed this hotel. Worked well for my family of 4 including two teenagers (who appreciated not having to share a bed).

Arrived very late, due to inclement weather. Received a call several hours before arriving notifying me that due to the weather, cancellation fees were not being applied. I arrived at 11pm, three hours later than expected, due to the weather. Sarai was outstanding for calling about the cancellation fee suspension due to weather, and for holding my check-in time until I arrived. She was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay again if I come back to Denver. The hotel pricing was great as well. The pillows were too soft, and the couch in the room a bit too hard, but otherwise, the room was great. Excellent breakfast as well. Next time I come to Denver, I will definitely come back to Sonesta ES, Lone Tree.

Not advertised about a 300$ incidental and refused to discount or refund my trip. Never was able to stay there the front seat people were rude and the refusal to refund me is the worst part we had to sleep in my car that night. Thank a lot for the horrible customer service and shady policies.

The property was great. Clean and nicely updated. The communication between the checkin person, maintenance and upper management was horrible. My daughter called on 9/6/2024 to see if the seasonal pool would still be open on our arrival on the 7th and we were told it would be. We all got there on the 7th and the check in person told us it was closed. She also told my Son-in-law that his early check in that he purchased the day before probably wasn’t going to be ready even though we were there at the time he was told he could check in because they were short staffed. The check in person kept looking in her computer and finally found a room that had been cleaned and was ready. She went into the back room and talked to someone that was back there and they said the pool was still open. After everyone changed we went down to the pool and there were signs on the gate that said the pool was closed. We tried our key and were able to get in. We went to the front desk and they gave us towels. About 2 hours later two people came out and told us the pool was closed and the PH level hadn’t been check since the 4th and that we were swimming at our own risk. They were the supervisor and the head of maintenance. They said they weren’t kicking us out but warning us. The breakfast was probably ok but we got there 30 minutes before it closed and there was barely any food left. The breakfast hours are too short for the weekend.Food needs to be restocked til the cut off time not 30 minutes prior.

Great stay in a nice neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again at any of their locations based on the experience at this particular location.

Our suite smelled like cigarette smoke. Also the staff had no idea what they were doing. The manager and front desk lady told us when we arrived that the pool was open for another week, then the assistant GM came out to the pool and told us it was closed a week ago, and that the water we were swimming in might not be clean. I paid for an early check-in, then when I arrived the front desk said they could not do that and yesterday's staff I spoke to just didn't know what they were doing?! After a brief argument they did find us a room. Overall this hotel seems mismanaged, and has poor communication.

Expedia did not inform us of a daily parking fee. Expedia did not offer me my military or senior citizen discount at time of booking. Expedia website is very hard to maneuver through and use. Couldnt find the discounts drop down or tab. We wanted to book direct with the Suites but was always transferred back to bullcrap Expedia. Why? When asked to direct, I was told that we would be connected to reservations and of course it went right back to Expedia. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper in the room for the entire 5-days and we went and bought 2-rolls ourselves. There was no house keeking services offered for our 5-day stay. Dirty towels were never picked-up for 5-days. We had to ask and go get our own resupply of towels. Sonesta took a $250 incidentals deposit and we were never told about that either until we checked-in. I asked for my military duscount upon arfival and was told to contact Expedia to receive, which I never received by the way, and received no help, zero, nada, none at all, to obtain my discount by the Sonesta staff. The Suites teased us with an email for an upgrade to a 2-bedroom j7st prior to making our flight and when we arrived was told the Suites were full and no upgrade was available. Very poor customer service overall and staff very reluctant to provide any assistance at all. Extremely We've stayed with Sonesta multiple times and this experience may have pushed us away from Sonesta and may make us choose other options next time.

The staff was super friendly and helpful . We have never encountered a more likeable staff, and we travel quite a bit. BUT: NO coffee maker (I requested one and a tiny one came right away) OUTLET by kitchen sink did not work. NO bathtub stopper (staff could not find one) NO phone (I had to walk to the front desk several times) NO alarm clock NO extra blanket NO clothes hangers NO night light in bathroom A MINIMUM of mismatched glasses and silverware. I the above mentioned items were corrected, our overall experience would have been even better. We MAY try SONESTA in West Denver at the end of May.

Once they figured out my bill (after contacting hotels.com and they contacted the hotel) it was great. Good breakfast options that changed, really nice staff, and a comfortable bed!

I was planning a trip for my partner and I to Colorado (as we have never been). We decided on Denver to travel to. I spent close to 2 weeks researching between Airbnb and a “hotel”. Sonesta kept popping up on my radar, so I decided to consider it. I am glad I did! Sonesta was a great choice in my opinion. The whole property, inside and out was very clean. The rooms were remodeled, and were decent in my opinion (i realllyyy despise staying in hotels). The king size bed was great and pillows were definitely fluffy. The shower seemed a bit cramped, and the toilet and door barely cleared each other wish was a bit of an ick. The breakfast was really good, lots of different options..only wished it ran a little longer than 630a-830a. But each morning was a different breakfast. Staff were very friendly and kind. Even when i had to call at 230a for loud neighbors who woke us up. They handled it well and professionally. Even followed up with me after the fact. Overall - i am glad i chose Sonesta for my stay. I will definitely use them again!

Conveniently located by the highway, but still quiet. Friendly staff always willing to help. Some facilities not yet completed, but construction should be done by October. Still, a great stay.

Great location, very comfortable bed, large studio with full kitchen with Quartz counters. Great breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, muffins, etc. WE’d never stayed here but would return due to the affordable price, comfort and location.

The property was quiet, the bed was very comfortable and the room had everything and more that I needed.

I thought this place was great! It was in a nice quiet area with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom area was pretty small compared to other hotels but that wasn't a huge deal. The shower was probably the only real negative thing, the faucet sprayed water everywhere and the shower head had low pressure and could probably be replaced with one that worked better. But even that issue wouldn't deter me from staying here again. The breakfast was standard, probably less options than other places I've been but again, thats not a reason to not stay here. Overall it was a great place to stay over the weekend.

Close to conference workshop seminar

My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs for three weeks while our house was under construction. Pros: relatively quiet, good neighborhood to walk the dogs around with access to a bike path down the road. Brewery within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Pet friendly and the price of them to stay is cheaper than anywhere else we’ve stayed. The mini kitchen came with a pot and saucepan for cooking. The full fridge and freezer were helpful to avoid having to eat out too often. There were two large TVs and the bed was very comfortable. Cons: we had to pay $10 total per night for our 2 vehicles despite plenty of parking. Maybe this is an issue but I didn’t understand why. They only clean the room once a week. I was working from the hotel so I couldn’t have them clean until the weekend. I should have asked sooner but they weren’t really able to fit my room in on a weekend day because they had so many other rooms to clean. I understood, it was on me for not reaching out sooner but just beware of this if you stay there. The breakfast options often ran out on weekends. Weekdays it was more stocked but they still were out of a few things regularly throughout the breakfast service. There was no frying pan in the room.

For starters the front desk staff seemed to not have answers to simple questions. It hars to answer questions when they are eating at the front desk and speak with food in there mouth. Optics look terrible. They offer breakfast. Although not very good, same ole fake egs and cardboard sausage patties. Plus it was crownded most days as the employees seem to out number the guest gather breakfast. Again optics look terrible. The room was nice. Toilet seat falling off showere head clogged. The dishes and cups look like a collection from randon garage sale, nothing matched. Coffee maker was filthy. Room had a funny smell to it. As I mentioned earlier I will pass next time.

There was remodeling happening at this hotel that I wasn't aware of until we arrived. Getting to the lobby and make shift dining room was challenging at times.

The front desk was very helpful and checked us in quickly. We were informed of the renovation upon arriving and told a little bit about the property and what to expect. One of the main things we choose when booking a hotel is the breakfast. And we were happy to hear it would be a full breakfast. Until we realized it was not. Not sure if it was due to reno or that it was monday morning. But disappointed that the pictures and comments about a complimentary breakfast were the exact opposite of what youd expect.

I had a great experience. The size of my room was bigger than I expected, and staff it was nice. The breakfast was decent and included eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, pancake, waffle, and other usuals. I intentionally chose the rolling shower option, and the shower room was spacious enough for my wheelchair.

I loved this hotel. Very clean and up to date. My room was so comfortable. The kitchenette was awesome. The freezer had its own ice maker so I didn’t have to leave the room for ice. The sink had a garbage disposal. The decor was cute and made me feel right at home. The breakfast was way better than any other extended stay hotel I’ve been to. I will definitely stay here again on my next work trip!

This hotel was lovely, super affordable and very comfortable and clean. The one downside was that the first 3 days we were there the breakfast was VERY LIMITED to grab and go, and even that wasn’t restocked. A woman who works there stated “the usual kitchen person didn’t show so .. oh well this is the best we can do” when a cute little kid asked for something. I get staffing can be tough if some one doesn’t show up, but working in hospitality and service industry my whole life, that’s when a manager steps up to heat the precooked sausages, eggs and grab batter for the pancake machine… disappointing during Christmas time to say the least … other than that the hotel is great and I am sure when they have someone to heat the food, it’s even better. Just urked a lot of folks that no one else could step up

Good location. Definitely a budget hotel, nothing fancy. Ran out of food before the posted breakfast hours had lapsed and staff just shrugged and said, Oh well. I probably won't choose this property or chain again. No big deal--and not a horrible experience, just not what I expected.

Nice big rooms. I've stayed twice and will be back. Both times the pancake maker was not working. Hopefully next time!
