Quality Inn Pagosa Springs

Do not stay here! Although it's advertising pool and hot tub they are not open no where in the property description do they have this posted you don't find out until you check in and it's too late to cancel and get a refund. The bathroom vent fan sounds like a badger eating it's way through the ceiling and the heater sounds like one eating through the wall. We arrived in town about 15mins before check in and called to see if we could check in early and was told absolutely not so we waited until 3 went in and was told we had to wait for shift change and listen to the clerks list of grievances for working too long then once the new register was open the new clerk ivited a whole group of I assume friends of his to check in before me so it was well after 3 before I was able to check in. It's also unsafe I went out to get something from the truck for my wife because she didn't feel safe and I'm glad I did there was a group of drunk locals proped up and leaning on my truck threatening to set it on fire because of a cap I had on the dash. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had here. My wife and I have stayed here many times over 20yrs and this was our first trip bringing our granddaughter and our last trip to stay at this place it's bad bad bad

The pool and lounge were closed for New Years i felt is was over priced since both of these amenities were unavalable

Lobby and front desk were dirty and dusty. Receptionist left a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism expected at a hotel. No elevator. Toilet barely worked. Ongoing construction but no signage to indicate so.

The restaurant or bar inside hotel wasnt open. The indoor pool wasnt open. Hotel lobby was dirty and dusty.

This place was in disarray and disrepair. October 2023, pool isn’t working. The place is under construction. Appears to be a remodel but not in good condition. Rooms are old and dated so remodel is definitely needed.

Did not like that pool was down, the breakfast bar was very limited and the access area to the 2nd building looked as if work was being done but never saw any workers.

Construction going on and inconvenient parking.

Hotel had numerous construction and remodel projects going on which were not disclosed in booking. No restaurant and hotel was very “worn” and old. Cracked tiles. crumbling post in portico.

Absolutely filthy. Room have a mess. Lobby looked like a construction zone.

Ugh. This hotel was a necessary stay, but this was the worst hotel over $100, we've been in. It wasn't the worst bed, but the room was in terrible condition. The toilet has no seat cover, the ceiling tiles were out of place, the base boards were missing or damaged. Breakfast didn't include eggs or meat, but they told us when we checked in, so it wasn't a surprise. The window of it room faced the side of a parked pickup truck (less than 3' away). The finishes on the wood were work out faded it defined. I really have tried to determine what I might say positive, but there just isn't much.

This hotel is beyond run down. Felt very dirty and old, broken windows, overgrown weeds out front, and I literally wore my sandals into the shower to avoid going barefoot. The employee that checked us in was very friendly, but other than that, I regret booking!! I travel a lot and this is the worst property I have ever stayed in. I can understand the quality level for $80 a night, but we were charged $253. I would rather sleep in my car and if I hadn’t had my little kids with me, I would’ve.

The hotel looks like a construction site. Whole floor is closed for renovations. Options for breakfast limited. Saw a large cockroach in the hallway. Clearly they're renovating, but nowhere near done.

This place was so bad we left one hour after entering the room! Upon entering the lobby I could smell a heavy odor of old dirty carpet. Upon entering the room we were again overwhelmed by the smell of rancid carpet! The bed, pillows and a cloth chair all reeked of old, soiled body odor! This property SHOULD NOT be offered by EXPEDIA as it is uninhabitable, dingy and disgusting! We were scheduled to stay there for two nights but left after one hour and had to drive 50 miles to find suitable accommodations. I am very disappointed in Expedia having offered this property to be suitable to their customers. We ended up losing over $320 which Expedia should replace!!

There was absolutely nothing likeable about this hotel. For $186 I would expect at a minimum, a clean room. Our bathroom was gross and the shower tub looked as if it hasnt been cleaned in years. The room consisted of broken and mis matched furniture. The lamps are broken, the furniture is beyond worn out. The owners of this hotel should be embarrassed to even be open to the public. I feel totally ripped off! Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car. This place is a dump!!!

Property was extremely worn down. Toilets that barely flushed, limited room lighting, non working bathroom fan, lack of outlets (you had to unplug TV or cable box to make coffee). The tub was super slick with no type of safety tape for traction. Water pressure was very low no matter what time you showered and you better pray no one anywhere near your room flushed their toilet. Outside of the room the guest laundry did not work, ice machine did not work, the pool was under repair, the common area furniture and even some of the room furniture was in such poor shape, it looks like it was picked up off of the curb. For the $170 - $200 per night I was charged, they ought to have a really nice breakfast. Not here. Such a nice area for this to be so crappy. I would have been midly upset if the room was $75 per night. I expect a significant refund from Expedia.

After my recent stay at the Quality Inn in Pagosa Springs, I was extremely disappointed by the condition of the hotel. The property is in desperate need of a full renovation. The exterior of the building is in a state of disrepair, with damaged fascia, siding, and roofing. The parking lot was also poorly maintained, littered with trash and dog waste. It was odd to see snowmobiles being stored on a trailer in the back of the building. The issues continued inside the room, which showed signs of severe neglect. There was significant water damage on the walls, and the drywall and paint were peeling. The window air conditioner was improperly installed, with bulging spray foam insulation dripping down the wall. Most alarmingly, the electrical cord for the A/C unit was frayed and exposed, an obvious fire hazard likely caused by an animal. The room's king-sized bed was uncomfortably hard. The bathroom was also in poor condition. The tub was stained and showed signs of mold around the edges. The hotel uses a bizarre tankless commercial toilet, which was unexpected. Beyond the room itself, the amenities were lacking. The carpets were dirty, and the laundry facilities were unclean. The continental breakfast was the worst I've ever had, with very few appealing options. The walls are thin, and large gaps around and under the door allowed me to hear everything happening in neighboring rooms and the hallway. Overall, this hotel does not meet the standards of a Quality Inn.

The smell was the worst , it’s an old ugly place, nothing from the photos in the app, the staff & service so bad & rude. This place was a nightmare for real

This is a terrible and unkempt property. Way outdated. Holes in walls. Ripped up carpet. Musty smell. Dirty. Rude staff. Air conditioner loud and not effective in cooling with wood and caulk supporting it. Lights burnt out. Smell of THC. Hazard. When showering if another room flushes a toilet, water is very hot. Don’t stay here.

The staff was amazing and very helpful, but the hotel was under construction rooms are outdated, Internet inaccessible And breakfast Was absolutely the worst.

Wow, this was a Quality Inn? This place was in poor condition and in a state of being updated/repaired. Included breakfast was embarrassing bad. Bathroom was tiny and the shower would shut off if someone in another room flushed their toilet. This hotel was grossly overpriced considering the amenities.

No elevator to access second floor. Very little lighting in our room. It was clean even though outdated.

This property is being refurbished and is a work in progress. On the outside is updated and nice. Inside was another story, more like from the 1970's. There is no elevator, and the doors are all mis-matched. Our room was decorated fine, minus the popcorn ceiling and visible drywall screws. The bathroom sink and (commercial style) toilet in our room were too short, I felt like I was in a preschool. Yet the hook on the back of the bathroom door was waaaaay at the top of the door. The plumbing has issues, and every time a toilet was flushed it sounded like a jack hammer. The person checking us in was rather gruff, and breakfast was very basic. On the plus side, it was a quiet location, the beds were very comfortable, and an easy walk to the river.

The room itself was clean and had been updated, however the building was falling apart. There were two separate buildings we were in the building not attached to the hotel lobby. The lobby of our building had cracked tiles, and old kitchen equipment piled up in it. The window at the end of the hall had a crack in it and was being held together with tape. There were areas of construction not taped off just open for anyone to be in at the end of the halls. The door to the room itself had a large gap where it did not seal well to the door frame. The photos on the hotels.com website are very misleading regarding the overall condition of the building.

We were on a road trip through Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. We were excited to soak in the Hot Springs, which was right across the street from the Quality Inn. We asked for a ground floor room (getting older and not wanting to lug our stuff up the stairs). They were very accommodating. The room was newly remodeled, shower and mirror was high tech and so quiet. Breakfast was included - nothing too fancy but satisfying.

Location is great, hotel is a mess. Mold on the bathroom ceilings, paint, peeling off the walls in the bathroom, walls scratched up in the bedroom, refrigerator didn’t work, no elevator up to the second floor, hotel under construction, rooms were pretty dark and gloomy. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Hotel rugs are a mess.

The lobby area is very dated. The rooms are clean and ordinary, they are fine. The breakfast does not include any protein such as breakfast meat and eggs but offers waffles and bagels.

The property is under renovations and was not a problem for us. Our room was acceptable. The bathroom had been renovated and the shower was excellent. The beds were horrible. They sagged and offered zero support for a good nights sleep! We considered leaving in the middle of the night. For the price paid, the beds should be upgraded. The front desk lady had very poor customer service skills and seemed bothered by assisting in our check in and asking for ice as the ice machine in the annexed building was not working. The gentleman in the am, when we checked out, was very friendly. I would not stay here again until they upgrade the matresses! ..

Not impressed. The woman who checked us in was somewhat hostile. No friendly smiles and no welcoming. If you decide to take a chance at this motel, you won’t get your security deposit for a week or more. We’re still waiting. Go elsewhere. We certainly will.

Doing construction on the separate building, so there wasn’t a side walk into the place and they had building materials all over the place! The lady that checked us in was amazing and fun! The rest of the staff seemed nervous or inconvenienced.

Lady at check in was rude and not helpful and was swearing. Hotel was very old and needed update badly. The carpet throughout was filthy. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody and will never stay there again.

Check in was terrible , we got in at 3 several others also waiting They were not ready so sent us off with no idea of when they would be ready. The condition of the lobby area and “courtyard” frightening , delapetated, falling apart , so it made you very nervous on check in. The desk help was nice but seemed very stressed out. The rooms however were in a building next door , and very nice , clean great shower. Seems this building is new , no elevator . Breakfast was next door in delapitated building in a pizza spot . Very sparse , good yogurt machine. Nothing hot but they told us that prior . I think communication was lacking overall and customer service a zero.

The location cannot be beat! You can walk to everything. However, we had a situation with the security deposits. Our account was charged double and when we asked the woman working the front desk she became very defensive and stated she couldn’t do anything about it because “she didn’t do that.” When we asked who we could speak to about the extra charges she stated she didn’t know or just to talk to our bank. She was extremely rude and didn’t seem like she wanted to be bothered.

We wanted to be within walking distance of all the Pagosa facilities, and this was the only place we could afford that was close to downtown. It's not an upscale place--very basic, which is what we expected for the low price. Location can't be beat--across the street from the hot springs and visitor center, and just a couple blocks from a bunch of restaurants and shops. And the staff at this hotel were seriously SO sweet! The lady at the front desk went out of her way to get us some more supplies when we ran out, and she even brought it to our room. And even though they don't do a full clean until the rooms turn over, the housekeeper knocked on our door each morning to ask if we'd like some fresh towels or if we needed more soap, TP, or anything. So thoughtful! Main issue I had was the bathroom. On the plus side, the sink's still accessible when someone's using the toilet--I love that. There was abundant hot water, and the shower pressure was awesome! But the shower room is tiny and cramped, with no good place to set your clothes. Shampoo shelf is placed so that you have to reach through the shower spray to access it, and the bottom is perforated, so the soap kept falling through it onto the floor. Sink vanity was too small for two people's toiletries. Handheld sprayer didn't work; water just dribbled out the bottom of the unit when we turned the diverter. But all in all, a good basic place to stay, if you can get past the annoyances.

The property was in the midst of renovations, so it's not really fair to rate some aspects. The person who checked us in was outstanding, and everyone we interacted with was friendly.

List minute low price convenience but the initial checkin could have at least included a hello. Breakfast suck as there were two pieces of bread for toast. Don’t count on it

The person who checked us in was extremely rude and had an extreme attitude! Was wearing a mask and talked fast so was hard to understand. Politely asked to repeat and they increased their attitude, if possible! Cleanliness of the hotel was poor! Will not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Over night stay with my spouse. The room was big very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good location walking distance to different hot springs and the river.

My room was so quiet, clean and comfortable. I got much needed rest after a very long drive. The location was great and ir was easy to walk around. There is a beautiful walking path along the river where we got to see lots of wildlife. Great experience. Staff was so nice and helpful.

It was right next to down town. And also next to post office.

Orla at the front desk was so nice and helpful. We had the pleasure of her helping us both at check-in and check-out. Room was clean, but building was undergoing some construction that our room was in. Close to everything and walkable to the hot springs.

This hotel is not that large and has been under construction for over a year. It is still not very fancy. It was filthy also. I guess worth it since it was cheap! I do like that it is across from the hot springs that is the only reason I stay there.

Super close to the post office which was a win-win for a hiker that needed resupplies sent to him via mail

This property is across the street from the hot springs/walkable to restaurants as well. As others have mentioned, this hotel is under construction, so a little rough. My room (on the first floor) was clean and acceptable.

Nice converted restaurant area as the breakfast space. Fresh coffee and lots of it. Property is pending a lot of upgrades but we didn't mind for the price. Wish there was an elevator

Also, there isn’t an elevator for the 2nd floor. It was conveniently located though in the middle of town with eating and shopping within walking distance.
