We could not find the motel on Google; it was listed as "permanently closed", and it appeared that it had been closed and now they are trying to get it going but it was in no shape to be open and only a few rooms were occupied. It was hard to find a person at the front desk, the breakfast was really poor and with no attendants around. The room itself was nice with the lake view but we felt like we were on a sinking ship, or at least one that had recently sunk and is just trying to come ip for air.

Ample parking and safe. Breakfast was lacking. Cereal, waffle, juice, not much.

Hotel is under renovations but all was well. room was clean cont. Breakfast was Good supply of items , might need to think about bigger Coffee Pot. check in and check out was easy. Like the fact they are pet friendly

The hotel is old, but has a lot of personality. It is being remodeled. They have taken out the pool and are putting in a new one. Elavators worked. The staff was very nice and helpful. The building we stayed in did not smell bad, as other reviews stated. Breakfast was fine. Waffles were great. There wasn't sausage, eggs, or gravy, but there were breakfast sandwiches to heat in the microwave. The price was appropriate for the condition of the hotel. I think it will be very nice when the remodeling is finished.

What people should know is that this hotel is in terrible disrepair. Apparently they are working on it. But be prepared the exterior is bad, weeds, parking lot surface, old paint, cobwebs, almost no lighting. There are no working security doors in operation. The two rooms we were in the sliding doors don’t have a working locks. They had flimsy aluminum bar stops. One room the smoke detector was found on a dresser. The interior of all the public areas are old and worn. I didn’t see a pool, the spa sauna is ripped out. It appears workers are living on at least a semipermanent bases. Grills were outside some doors. The room itself was, clean comfortable, with nice bedding and the towels were great. Had the rooms not been looking like they have been updated some we would not have stayed the night. The shower was nice and good water pressure. The breakfast was good, your typical hotel self serve type. Everything there was good and fresh, but the coffee in the room was old and tasted nasty. I looked on one package the appeared to be expired by over 2 years. The ladies at the front desk were nice and helpful. So really I hope this serves as a warning to the public traveling folks who will be shocked at the rundown neglected appearance.

The area on the lake and amazing and the ability to walk outside. It seemed they were under renovations though. Pot holes everywhere in the parking lot. Once it’s fixed it will be a great place!

Not sure what's going on. Don't know if there is a on-site maintenance worker or they are between one. We see a new pool getting put in but the elevators are out of order. Front door broken. Leaks in ceiling. Ceiling water damage in room. Not sure if its time to start over or.... Overall room was good but external perception is bad.

I arrived at the hotel at 3pm and I had to wait for 10 mins to check in because there was no staff at the front desk. When they finally came the didn’t even greeted us and acted unfriendly. Property is in bad shape. They even have a bucket in the middle of the hallway because one of the water pipes is leaking. My room door safety lock was broken so we didn’t feel safe. Won’t be coming back for sure.

The place is in a good location but the conditions of the hotel are terrible, I mean the structure, in the photo they do not present the reality of the building. I had chosen a room with a balcony and you look at the lake when one goes out many cigarettes on the balcony plus super dirty the surroundings were horrible. I chose the hotel because in the photos nothing stands the same as when you arrive. I think that if they fix it it would be 100% worth it since it is accessible.

All was good, rooms were clean and a very quiet. Slept well. Only issue, was breakfast, the tables and floors were dirty. And we got there right at 7am, at the opening of breakfast being served. it had food crumbs on floors and most of the tables weren't clean. Microwave was dirty, dried-up cheese or food stains in microwave.

Great location. Had a musky ordor rooms and building seemed very out of date.

The bedding & room itself was very clean. Housekeeping seemed to be very well run and responsible. Management was anything but responsible or organized. Dark colored waste baskets & pails were set around in hallways on multiple floors to catch leaking water from the ceiling tiles and air fresheners were being used throughout the guest room area halls to cover the mildew and mold smells. No fans or rug cleaning were being done during our 3 day stay. No signs to watch our steps. Poor lighting in areas and not all exterior doors were locked. The balcony walls were covered with spider nests and no screen door for the balcony. No real breakfast because of construction in the area; waffle mix and cold cereal but no personnel around to ask questions to. No wireless; the excuse was there had been a lightning storm the night before and knocked out the wireless which wasn't told to us at check-in. This was for the entire 3 day stay. I asked for but no offer to adjust the bill for the condition of the halls or non-existent wireless. To leave early would have cost us 1 night's stay therefore we decided to just leave the keys in the room and not stay for our last reserved night early so we could go to a clean, honest, up-front place that we could enjoy. We didn't want to pay for the final night AND have them rent the room to someone else. It was worth the extra expense to get away from the poorly managed, unsafe location.

We had a lake view room which was very nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast was a disaster and check in was a hassle. It rained a little, and water was running down the wall from the ceiling over the patio door. Our patio was missing chairs to set on, but the neighbors had them. The outside of the building was in bad shape, and the hallway smelled damp. Be ready to get a different hotel.

Front desk and staff were friendly. Lobby coffee was not refreshed daily and the trash littered outside was unappealing.

The location of this hotel is great. The view of the lake and mountains is stunning. The hotel is run down and falling apart. There were buckets with dirty water in the hallway from a leaky roof. The toilet paper holder was MIA and the bathroom doorknob was falling off the door. The shower handle to control water flow also fell off so it took a lot of effort to turn on water and get it hot. While we were worried the place might have bed bugs, it was actually clean. The bed was comfortable. Definitely overpriced for what it is but got the job done. Thankfully we only stayed one night.

Sliding door on my room to take dogs out and avoid people. What I didn't like terrible wifi. Couldn't access it and when I did kept losing it.

Many things terrific: 2 sinks, plenty of storage space, nice linens and bath amenities! But WC fan didn't work, patio screen had tear in it and fell off rail. 😞

Room was very nice. Nice towels comfy bed excellent view. Shower was perfect, hot has you like! Very clean inside the room. Outside building needs maintenance. Breakfast was just okay. Would have like fresh foods instead of packaged. Tv remote didn’t work. I would stay there again in that room!

No WiFi while we were there, tv in room didn’t work, gave us two towels although 4 of us were staying. Nice staff though!

They put me in a new room which was clean and spacious and a working shower. In the morning, they promised breakfast but there was nothing at all. Just coffee in those portable pitchers. And no staff at the front lobby. This place had been closed for a long time so it sounds like they’re having growing pains getting reopened.

Our stay was a very good one because Jessica a staff member. There was a mixup when we made the reservation thru Hotel.com, and she was extremely helpful and did an excellent job and made sure we had a place to spend the night. So because of Jessica our stay at Pagosa Lodge was great for the 5 humans and our pet!!

We were unable to get to the property due to flooding in the area. Tried calling and calling to let them know we wouldn't get there and we had to book a room at Durango instead. They charged us for the room. No one ever answers the phone to talk to someone.

The view was awesome staff were amazing and helpful. We brought our dog last minute and they were able to accommodate our needs

Very conveniently located close to food places and away from crowds, great view of the lakes

Breakfast items could be improved by providing more vegetarian items and gluten free items. Struggled with key cards in that one would not work. When replaced then the other would not work until both cards were replaced at the same time. Each morning saw hot air balloons go up over lake. Lake view was nice. Good food options within walking distance.

The front desk associate- I believe her name is Nala, was very welcoming and kind. She was working late and helped us get checked in. Our room was comfy and clean. I loved waking up to the lake view on the balcony. The hotel was quiet and housekeeping was attentive. When I had an issue with my credit card & a fraud alert, the manager was so patient & knew how to resolve issue. I would return on our next visit.

Extremely comfortable bed with choice of pillow firmness, soft for me, resulted in a good night's rest. Waking to a postcard view - serene lake, white swan gliding nearby, line of ducks swimming farther away, a hot air balloon floating in front of the beautiful mountain range - was a wonderful, peaceful start to the day!

The property is rundown. The ceiling was leaking on the 3rd floor by the elevator. The breakfast area floor wasn’t cleaned during our stay.

The place is not very clean, looks like it’s under renovations for new management, not sure if there’s a sewer plant nearby or if it’s their septic with the room smelled in the morning, the practice that they offer was subpar. We got there around 7:30 in the morning. There is no cereal. Very little options. Tables were dirty. I would not say that again the staff was one person. She was nice, but the accommodations were very lacking.
