Staff is excellent and the best hot chocolate in town at 3:30 in lobby. The pool and hot tubs are great. Gym great. Location amazing close to gondola shopping restaurants! The only thing that I would suggest is rooms probably need a refresh and renovation but truly everything was great and would return.

$50 parking fee/valet only. But it’s Vail, so expected. Beautiful grounds. Hot tub was under construction which was a bummer after a day of mountain biking. Room was very spacious and had big windows in each area providing a beautiful view, but needed some upgrades. Couch was pretty worn. Bathroom needed some fixing as well. Anything we needed, was provided for us in a decent amount of time with a smile. It was a lovely stay. I would stay there again!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, with easy access right into Vail Village. The rooms were clean and had a nice mountain feel. The only complaint I have is with the hidden fees, which a lot of hotels do now to make it look like the nightly cost is lower. Although Expedia says all fees included… they’re not. We got an email a couple days before our stay saying they are a “valet only” property at the tune of $50/night. Absolutely absurd. Additionally, there would be a 10.5% “resort fee” added for each night. Long story short, our $170/night room came out closer to $270/night after all was said and done…. Now if you’re going to Vail, known for being expensive, that may not be a big deal but that’s why we travelled in the offseason and only did a brief stay, to keep costs down. Other than that it was a great hotel.

Love the ambiance and special touches like hot chocolate with bourbon and chocolate chip cookies at the end of the ski day . Boot room is great but would be even better to locate ski check next to boot room. Minor repairs in the room needed in an otherwise comfortable 2 bedroom suite with a beautiful working fireplace and large vaulted windows letting in plenty of sun. Would come back.

Amazing hotel, located right in the heart of Vail Village. Staff were so polite and helpful. Our room was so comfy and cosy and had an amazing view. It had everything we needed, including a humidifier and great complimentary snacks. We had a little balcony, the beds were great, the rooms quiet and great a/c. The property was beautifully decorated for Christmas and cocoa, cider and cookies were available in the lobby every afternoon, which was a lovely touch. It has two restaurants and the hot tub and pool area is amazing, complete with fire pits. The self-service laundry was also so useful and very affordable. City Market and other options are 7 mins away by car in West Vail.

Location: The location of the hotel was fabulous. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We reserved a room with a balcony and Mountain View. The view was breathtaking. It was during the peak time of the aspens turning. Beautiful. Staff: The staff inside the hotel offered no hello or welcome back as you walk past them each day. After a five day stay, the young man did not even offer a …thank you for staying with us. So, don’t expect friendly interactions with the front desk. However, the valets were incredible helpful and friendly. Cleanliness: The room was to be cleaned every other day. The first cleaning day we left at 10:00 and arrived back at 3:30. The room had not been cleaned. I figured it was my fault for not telling the front desk when we left for the day. My husband asked the staff to clean or at least leave clean towels while we left for an early dinner. They did. So, the next cleaning day (two days later), we left at 9:00, and I told the front desk staff we would be gone so the room could be cleaned. When we returned at 4:00, the room had not been cleaned. It did not get cleaned before we checked out. To me this is a perk of saying at a hotel instead of an air bnb.

Air conditioning unit not there; they had an HVAC that stuck out of the window therefore the window had to stay open. Noisy neighbors, couldn’t sleep because of them being loud. Very uncomfortable Murphy’s bed.

We were not informed at ck in that there was no water . Lock to the door outside was broken and could only be closed by a chain. The property is very poorly maintained broken tiles in the elevator ,torn lampshades, ripped furniture. Our room was not cleaned although we were gone for hours. We informed the front desk that the room was not cleaned & that we needed towels and there were no towels when we returned. This hotel sadly should not be a Rock Resort. The location is great and the bed & shower were good so I did not give it the lowest rating.Additionally the tv did not work and there was no phone.

Very very clean facilities. It is older but they keep it very clean, staff is very nice and helpful. We brought our Maltese pup and he was very welcomed. Also close proximity to everything in vail village!

Not a good stay. Stayed in Spa Suite #390 & room was ridiculously hot - 76°. No A/C, no fans, no windows to open. You can only open a ground level door which means bears, critters, other humans can enter your room. Then the toilet made crazy loud sounds all night. Not when I arrived & sounds stopped next morning. Just nuts. Used earplugs to make it through night. Room could be great, hot tubs & spa look nice but comfort sucked.

What an incredible place to stay; our new favorite! Gorgeous hotel, beautiful rooms, spacious balcony, great views and due to the lay out (not standard at all), each part of the hotel feels intimate. Fantastic pool area, super costly beds, lots of free amenities. I can go on and on. We’re already talking about dates to go back :-)

All of the staff were great and the location was very convenient, however the room had issues. The shower nozzle was broken, so we couldn't adjust the setting, and the setting it was stuck on should have been labled 'violently aggressive'. Showering was actually painful on certain parts of the body. Also the location of the room was bizarre, almost as if it had been an afterthought by the architect. It was in the landing between two sets of stairs, next to an elevator, no other rooms anywhere near it. The location made it very loud, we were woken up a couple of times overnight by people outside. Also the view was of the valet parking lot. Very unlikely we would stay here again.

Unfortunately I experienced some horrible altitude sickness during my stay. And Max at the Valet desk and Venesa in the cleaning team went out of their way to help me when I was feeling extremely unwell. The restaurant staff were also incredibly friendly and efficient. I'd definitely stay here again. Yes the rooms are a little outdated but if you're skiing you'll only be there to sleep. And its situated right near the Gondola.

The staff were untrained. At buffet breakfast there were no plates or bowls. Plenty of staff standing around. When fruit run out and someone asked for it to be refilled, the staff member had no idea what to do. The reception staff fail to pass on messages from one to the next. The food options are overpriced and of lower quality than available nearby.

Everyone was very kind. Especially the gentleman in reception at 5am on Thursday who went above and beyond. He wore a bengals jersey. Ten golden stars for him. However. A young lady in reception Wednesday night was rude and did not offer any help. This one person tarnished the overall rating.

One of the beds in our room broke to where one corner was on the floor. They didnt have another room available and couldnt have someone fix until the next day. Staff didnt offer any solution. After going to the front desk and asking the staff what can be done. One staff guy said the could bring us a rollaway bed. The staff that brought it was very nice. They fixed the bed the next day but didnt rem9ve the rollaway so we were constantly having to crawl over it to move around the room. The front desk staff did a poor job of exolaining the amenities which we discovered on the last day. The can light 8n the bathroom fell down. Someone came to fix it but it fell down again and stayed that way for the remainder of our trip. Valet and maid service were exceptional. Front desk staff were not helpful or friendly. Used the spa the last day after skiing all day to shower and change clothes before driving to Denver for our flight. This location was perfect, a 5 min walk to Gondola 1. Valet takes your equipment to Gondola 1 and keeps them overnight so you dont have to carry your skis, polls and snowboard to the lift each day. Customer experience is key, and I was disappointed by the bed situation which hindered our stay with the lack of friendliness and care of the front desk staff. After a long day of skiing, you desire a good night's sleep to prepare for the next day. Spending over $950/night plus $50/day for parking, you would expect a staff to assist when or if things go wrong.

Location: The location of the hotel was fabulous. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We reserved a room with a balcony and Mountain View. The view was breathtaking. It was during the peak time of the aspens turning. Beautiful. Staff: The staff inside the hotel offered no hello or welcome back as you walk past them each day. After a five day stay, the young man did not even offer a …thank you for staying with us. So, don’t expect friendly interactions with the front desk. However, the valets were incredible helpful and friendly. Cleanliness: The room was to be cleaned every other day. The first cleaning day we left at 10:00 and arrived back at 3:30. The room had not been cleaned. I figured it was my fault for not telling the front desk when we left for the day. My husband asked the staff to clean or at least leave clean towels while we left for an early dinner. They did. So, the next cleaning day (two days later), we left at 9:00, and I told the front desk staff we would be gone so the room could be cleaned. When we returned at 4:00, the room had not been cleaned. It did not get cleaned before we checked out. To me this is a perk of saying at a hotel instead of an air bnb.

Staff is excellent and the best hot chocolate in town at 3:30 in lobby. The pool and hot tubs are great. Gym great. Location amazing close to gondola shopping restaurants! The only thing that I would suggest is rooms probably need a refresh and renovation but truly everything was great and would return.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, with easy access right into Vail Village. The rooms were clean and had a nice mountain feel. The only complaint I have is with the hidden fees, which a lot of hotels do now to make it look like the nightly cost is lower. Although Expedia says all fees included… they’re not. We got an email a couple days before our stay saying they are a “valet only” property at the tune of $50/night. Absolutely absurd. Additionally, there would be a 10.5% “resort fee” added for each night. Long story short, our $170/night room came out closer to $270/night after all was said and done…. Now if you’re going to Vail, known for being expensive, that may not be a big deal but that’s why we travelled in the offseason and only did a brief stay, to keep costs down. Other than that it was a great hotel.

We decided to come back to ski Vail for the first time in a decade. We chose the Lodge at Vail due to location and availability and we hit the jackpot. The hotel staff is service first! Started off 100% by taking our ski's from our truck to the base of the mountain ski valet, our boots to the boot room and our luggage to our room. We were less than 50 yards to the gondola and it was amazing to be so close. Check in was personable and quick. The room was beautiful, comfortable and the bathroom large with a tub and private toilet room. The housekeeping was fantastic. We booked services at the spa, used the steam, sauna and hot tub as well as used the pool and hot tub outside. * Please no kids in the hot tubs. Wasn't horrible but hard to relax! They have the whole big pool and it was warm! (women's locker room spa hot tub was my go to after that) We will be staying there again because of the great staff, comfortable accommodations and the proximity to the gondola, shopping and restaurants. Thank you to your staff for making our first stay with you so fantastic. We will see you again soon.

We liked the location within the village. We found the hotel layout a bit confusing in the lobby area and wasn't told about a 3rd exit from the hotel that puts you into the village. We were disappointed with the lack of coffee, hot and cold tea, lemonade, etc. available in the lobby. Cold beverages were out on 2 of the days we were there, but not all of the days. A limited, cold breakfast menu was available at the Cucina. I believe it wasn't open every day we were there. We went elsewhere in the village for breakfast.

The Lodge is located right near the mountain with a very convenient location.We have stayed at the lodge in previous years. I do feel it could use a little updating within the property. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo. It was very spacious but we had several issues in the condo that I feel should have been addressed before we arrived. The TV in one of the bedrooms was missing a cable. At first we were told "it could not be fixed," but then they changed their mind and brought us a cable. Some of the furniture in a bedroom was literally falling apart. The lights went out a couple of times and need a breaker adjustment. While these condos are privately owned, they should be in good working shape when they are rented. Housekeeping was wonderful and came everyday. We ate at Elways restaurant in the lodge and the food and service were very good. We do wish the restaurant Cucina offered an a la carte breakfast instead of an expensive buffet each day. The staff was helpful when we had an issue in the condo. I would return to the Lodge again.

Wonderful stay! We came for one night, booked a king room, and were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite! Everything was top notch, only drawback was that our room wasn’t ready when we got there and had to wait about 25 minutes. Ate breakfast at Cucina, delicious, great service. Highly recommend!!

However, I was disappointed that breakfast was not included in the stay, especially considering the high price. When I did try the breakfast, it was underwhelming, with limited variety and average quality. For the cost, I expected more value and better offerings. Including breakfast or improving its quality would greatly enhance the overall experience.

They told me that I signed the reservation agreement that stated smoking on the hotel property was a penalty. I did not see that in the agreement. He fined me $300 even though other people were smoking in the parking lot on the "property" The incompentent manager refused to take it off of my bill. I'll have to dispute the charge with Visa.

This hotel is dated but remains lovely. Beautifully maintained pool, lots of flowers. Be forewarned however, the extra price for resort fee is questionable at best. Three times I was told I could not get a ride because they were too busy. I had to request housecleaning one day more than 3 times, even though I was supposed to automatically receive this every day. I had to ask for coffee in the room twice because it wasn't replaced. The staff were very nice, and I have no complaints with them. The valet service, however, and the housecleaning service, not so much. You pay an extra $60 per day for parking your car there, and another "resort fee" for amenities - not sure what those really are when you can't get a ride to Lionshead, no coffee in the room. There was also an extremely loud air conditioning unit sticking out from the window which ran intermittently during the night (no more than 8 seconds at a time), on and off, on and off.
