The dining room staff was completely occupied by a convention. Those who wanted breakfast had only the option of frozen egg sandwiches from a café in the hotel. The atrium is beautiful and a wonderful place for an evening cocktail or glass of wine with friends. Parking is awkward and valet services are not readily available. Self parking is expensive but par for the course on the East Coast.

This hotel is breathtaking. The pictures don’t do it justice. The staff are courteous and helpful : from check -in to check -out, every single employee responded to questions with care , and patience. I would give this hotel 10 stars if weren’t for the situation at the pool that I’ve seen mentioned in several reviews. I visited this location as a mini staycation for my children and I, and I called beforehand to ensure that the pool was opened and available because I knew that there’s where they’d want to spend most of their time. I’ve never seen them so eager to wake up at a hotel, because the pool was opened from early, however, we were made to feel very uncomfortable because of the two swimming instructors that used the already small pool for their classes. These instructors were not courteous, looked annoyed at my children, and then gave orders in a condescending way that they weren’t allowed to use the side of the pool that the classes were on or get out and go to the hot tub. I find that extremely rude, unsafe, and disturbing. We were unable to use a paid facility for our full enjoyment, when that was one of the main reasons that I chose this hotel when booking. Maybe Hyatt should advertise this location as an “adults only,”Families with kids take heed.

Hotel is nice. Atrium feel luxurious. The coffee shop is great! Smart move on their part to open a theatre! Only weird thing is that instead of replacing the cheap hollow core bathroom doors during the reno, they were just painted over. Weird. But otherwise lovely 2nd stay!

Nice hotel right off the highway, and so very easy to find. Grounds were well maintained, hotel was clean and the decor and large atrium made me want to sit at the bar for hours.I didn't have hours however, so no review of the bar, but the room was recently refreshed and is very nice and comfortable. Oddly, the renovation saved money by just repainting the old hollow core doors which were there prior to the refresh. Worked fine, but something I noticed. Plenty of phone and other plugs and floating side tables were were convenient. Nice gym and cute pool as well! Seems like a perfect place to host an event as there is a separate entrance at the back for the ballrooms. Overall, a nice stay, I wish it was longer, and I would defintely stay here again.

Still experiencing renovation issues. Food is served only in the bar area which can be uncomfortable depending on where you’re seated. In room service only for breakfast during the week. Pool area is rented out for children’s swim lessons, so it’s crowded and noisy. Pool area is ridiculously hot. Pool water temp is 90 degrees or more. The windows and door are open to cool it down. Totally unacceptable pool experience, especially considering what hotel charges nightly.

The recent renovation of this larger hotel has improved its appeal. The center courtyard is an excellent place to dine and lounge. They offer accommodation to well behaved dogs, and we saw many. The valet / bellhop was rude and I wouldn’t bother using them. It was a surprise that self parking was $23/day. The water in this hotel is terrible! The price tag for $8 Fiji or $5 Desani is further insult. The dining onsite is good and a large comfortable bar area makes dining easy and relaxing. The thin walls couldn’t be helped in the redo as you can hear everything room to room-alarms, tv, conversation, you name it. One interesting feature is the onsite theater for watching movies.

Getting there is very convenient. The property recently had a major upgrade with the Atrium being totally redone. I think it's lost some of its charm as the old version had tables and chairs scattered throughout the trees. The use of artificial turf detracts from the property. These are the most comfortable beds of any hotel I've stayed in over this past year. The pool area could use a LOT more heating, especially with the recent artic weather we've been having.

Dining options at hotel was very nice though room was not cleaned thoroughly. I had bacon bits and bits of pancake on the floor with some trash items under the tv stand. My tv was not working when I called the front desk for assistance. I waited over 3+hours and had to cancel the help because I had to sleep for early travel day. Ultimately everyone was nice and I stayed for one night

My parents have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and there is just never enough staff. They took a hiatus for a couple of years and thought they would try it again after the reno, which is nice. The staff are lovely, but they need to hire more people. Some of the lounge areas needed to be cleaned, but I don't fault the cleaners because they were working hard. There were sugar ants in the room. They did move my parents, but it was a bummer. Room service breakfast came in a paper bag with bamboo folks, which again was not great in terms of presentation. This is not a cheap hotel, and I was hoping for a smoother visit.

We don’t care about the property. We asked for a quiet room, but instead we were given a room facing the dreaded interior courtyard. Extremely noisy, echoing noise, so very very difficult to sleep before the bar drinkers finally had their fill. The room doors have visible space around them, so you will not miss a word or door bang on the hallway.

Couldn't get the wifi to work. Cell phone service was terrible. Terrible hotel design - entrance, registration, and elevators are at one end of a long, long building, and of course, our room was as far away as possible. Front entrance driveway was clogged with cars and took forever to get through. Self parking was at the very far end of the building, and then you had to walk all the way around the building to get back in and get to the elevator, and then walk all the way around to get to our room. Of course, valet parking was right in the very front of the property, and was mostly empty. They should put the guest parking at the front of the property and the valet parking at the back. We won't be staying there again.

Room was clean well kept. Parking was easy for $20. We checked in late and had an early checkout so we didn’t spend too much time in the main part of the hotel but the restaurant was buzzing even late into the evening. The only negative we experienced was when we got to our room the heat had been left on very high (78) so it was stifling. We turned the heat off for the night and the room only cooled slightly and we had no way to open a window to help speed it up. It made it difficult to sleep because it was so hot. Otherwise our stay was great.

The hotel was nice. The staff was very nice. I had a newly renovated room and it was lovely. However, the walls were so thin I heard everything that happened in the room next to me and the hallway. The toilets flush so loudly - hearing the one next door woke me up at night. It was really strange how thin the walls were. This is a place where you need a sound machine or ear plugs!

Something is terribly off about this hotel operations. Very nice atrium & had a Greenwich address. But, staffing is clearly a big issue and service is honestly 1-2 good employees to 6-8 weirdos. Kitchen food is - mediocre at best. Good luck. Just stay in Stamford instead

Spent a Saturday evening here in early September. Nothing special at all about the hotel or facility. Entirely predictable. Felt understaffed, as an I gave up after waiting close to 10 minutes around 4:15 p.m. to order a drink from the bar...the 2 bartenders were avoiding eye contact with any guest and seemed more pre-occupied with slowly fixing someone a cocktail and discussing their own day. I was one of several guests standing and hoping to place an order.

Check in with Nicole at the front desk was great & check out with John at a very early hour also excellent. I was given un upgrade & the renovated property and atrium area was beautiful. Self parking option was very easy & economical too. Add this to your travel list especially when going to/from Manhattan by car.

I enjoyed my quick staycation at this property. It is very close to Stamford which has endless amenities. The property looks like a resort, I was very pleased to stay here. I would definitely revisit.

We included breakfast in our reservation and payment and learned that there was no restaurant open in the hotel for breakfast. The meal was lukewarm at best, and in To-Go packaging. There was no indication that this was the only option on HOTELS.com or the Hyatt.com. This was very disappointing.

There is no real restaurant for a large hotel. Staff was meh. Asked for hand soap and was told they dont carry any. Yet there was an empty soap dish. Bartenders were nice and attentive.

This is our 8th or 9th stay with you as we have family in Old Greenwich. The renovations are welcomed and it's nice to have dining once again at the hotel. There is not enough staff at the restaurant/bar area though. We had to add our drinks at the reception desk because no one came to bring us our check on the evening of 6/27/25. Also the back entrance from the parking area needs to be kept swept and clean.
