It is a lovely hotel. My only criticism is the pool. It could use a fresh coat of paint. But everything else was great. We ate in the restaurant, which had live music. We had a really early start but I was still able to grab something from the continental breakfast! When we checked it, they had complimentary wine. It really is a nice place and I would definitely stay again if I find myself in the area.

The hotel was very nice but needs some TLC wallpaper was peeling bad is chipped mirror in the pool area has lost its silver. The pool itself was clean as was the hot tub but could use some paint and updating.

This historic hotel is not just charming, it also has plenty of amenities. Our crew loved that breakfast started up early each morning with grab and go or sit down options. The rooms are large and nicely appointed, and it was wonderful having a pool, sauna, and hot tub available after a long hike.

The room was just okay. Nothing special about the room for the price. The staff was amazing and kind. The breakfast was fantastic especially the cappuccino machine!! The pool was very large and heated to the perfect temperature on a cold fall day. There was a wedding the night we stayed so unfortunately it was extremely loud most of the night. We really didn't get much sleep because of the wedding guests being loud and enjoying themselves. That was a bit disappointing considering how much we paid for our stay.

Lovely comfortable country inn. The room was large and well appointed. The only disappointments were a breakfast buffet more like in a chain motel than a fancy inn (surprising at the price) and that one of the two EV charging ports was broken.

Wonderful stay, comfortable beds and delicious affordable food at the on-site restaurant. Parking was easy and plentiful and the pool + hot tub was a welcome escape from the winter snow outside. Great stay!

The Staff was nice. The automatic coffee machine was good. The regular coffee was good but look for the machine. It’s hidden in a corner in the free breakfast room. I liked the fresh fruit. The room has marble tiles and it’s showing its age. The room needed to be cleaned better before we arrived.

Our bathtub had 8 hairs in it, it was disgusting. It was clear the cleaning was inadequate. There was a storm and the hotel lost power so we had no lights or heat in our room for a few hours. It was uncomfortable.

Simsbury Inn never disappoints. We always stay there when we're in the area. A wonderful staff that gives you a warm welcome upon arrival. They are available 24/7 and very accommodating. A beautiful property with lots of amenities. Excellent location, very clean and a great breakfast. Highly recommend.

Love the Simsbury only one complaint the shower needs to be un clogged that was disappointing. Other than that I love staying here. Have quit a few times and hope to again. Simsbury is absolutely beautiful and love the feel of the hotel. Front desk is very helpful and nice.

We arrived at the inn at 10 pm on Christmas eve and there was no one at the desk to check us in. Someone finally showed up after about 10 minutes and apologized for our wait. Never explained where she had been. The sink in our room didn't drain well. My husband let the gentlemen at the front desk know when we were checking out. He did not seem very concerned. Otherwise our room was very nice and clean and the lobby was lovely. We were only there overnight.

This hotel is older but nicely maintained. We liked using the pool and they put out wine and cheese for the guests each evening. The bed however wasn’t comfortable and difficult to sleep on. They really need to buy new mattresses.

I really wanted to like this hotel. Upon check in it was great. Quaint, friendly front desk, clean, a fire pit in the front, cookies on the pillow. I even called my husband and said we need to come up for the weekend. It seemed charming. Definitely dated, but it was clean. The first issue was the shower, the water did not get hot, it was warm but not hot. The sink got hot, but not the shower. The tub also didn’t drain properly, so during my shower I was ankle deep in water. The thing that really turned me off was 8:00 in the morning (Sunday morning) I hear banging in the room next to me. I thought the guests were checking out but it sounded like furniture was moving. It woke me up. I get up and I see a cleaning cart outside my room. Then at 8:15 the vacuum started. It was loud. I could understand even if it were 9am, but 8am on a Sunday when checkout is at 11? That was very disrespectful. I said something to the front desk and the answer I received was that’s their job, to get in and start early. Really???? I would never stay here again. If I could post the video of how loud it was I think everyone would understand where I am coming from. The cleaning crew also left a very narrow path to walk through between their cart, garbage & and a playpen.

We've stayed at the Simsbury Inn quite a few times. We really enjoy the atmosphere. The staff is wonderful, very attentive. Excellent breakfast included with your stay. Hotel very clean. Was thrilled to see Glen at the front desk when we arrived. Gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home! Will definitely plan more stays at the Simsbury Inn. Highly recommend.

Glen was exceptional at check in. Room was lovely, clean and had a wonderful view of a garden. Hotel is quiet, traditional and has lots of character. Twigs is a nice evening meal venue and the service is wonderful.

My recent stay at Simsbury Inn was far from satisfactory, marred by several issues that significantly impacted my experience. Firstly, the state of the swimming pool was appalling. The Inn is conveniently situated in the center of Simsbury and looks impressive upon arrival. How, our experience was that the Inn’s promise quickly faded. An unpleasant musty odor greeted us in the hallway outside our room. The room itself showed considerable wear and tear- stained tabletop, chipped paint, missing lamp finial. The complimentary breakfast the next morning featured overcooked scrambled eggs served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. The staff, however, was very friendly and welcoming. However, on the whole our stay at the Simsbury Inn was disappointing.

People were kind. Its an older building which im sure needs constant up keep. Id say the restaurants food at the hotel wasnt anything to talk about. Also the free breakfast wasnt great. They should have a waffle maker and some fresh cut up fruit. Over all a pleasant stay

Nice location, rooms were comfortable, especially the king bed. Restaurant and bar were good, menu is limited but we enjoyed a lunch and a dinner at Twigs lounge. Complimentary breakfast each day was quite good and better than most other hotels with pastries, bagels, fruit, cereal etc but also included Nutmeg cafe serving a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage etc.

We stayed for my wife's birthday. The appearance and decor was amazing. Our room was beautiful and comfy. The staff were awesome and friendly. We pre dinner drink at the bar and the bartenders we super nice. We ate dinner at Twiggs lounge and the food was service was spectacular. On Sunday we stayed for the Sunday brunch. The menu was over the top amazing and very delicious. The staff was again the best. My wife and i will definitely make the 2 hour drive and stay again.

Loved the 4 poster bed, thick towels, chocolate chip cookies, 24-hour coffee. Just a lot of small nice perks. Oh, and the vanity kit. Breakfast was good and a lot of options.
