Nice hotel indoor pool was nice a bit too hot for the summer though but beds were super comfy room was nice

Property is huge, staff is very helpful and courteous. Loved having an ev charger on site that I could use overnight to charge car. Room was clean and had been updated. Hotel is right next to the highway, I hit an highway view room and it was noisy. I needed to leave quickly in the morning, would have preferred a quick grab and go breakfast that is included with the stay instead of a sit down meal restaurant.

Nice staff, clean and nice inside and out with plenty of lit parking.

The beds are extremely comfortable :) The workout room is sufficient The bar and food are good John our barman is great! Lot of fun our one evening there:)

The Wyndham Southbury is a beautiful hotel. The lobby is grand and the ownership is doing a great deal of remodeling. My double queen room was spacious, comfortable and relaxing. The beds are comfortable and the linens crisp and fresh. The bathroom shower is elegant and well stocked wih towels. The vanity area is new and bright. I did enjoy the swimming pool everyday. Thank you for a great stay

Fitness Center was in basement which prevented my virtual training session because of poor reception.

The lobby was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. We liked the heated pool but we felt like we were getting kicked out for swim lessons. The room coffee was horrible and we had to put it in water glasses. There weren’t any coffee cups. The luggage cart was hard to get up the ramp to our room. The wallpaper was warped and the trim was coming off the wall. Also the trash cans didn’t have liners and were very small.

The property was beautiful, and the staff was great, but the maintenance on the floor causes a safety issues, with uneven tiles creating fall hazards. The hall way (100s ), smelled strongly of urine the first day, then cigatette smoke the second. The hotel room also had an unpleasant smell. The other concern was the shower water did not drain properly into the drain, but ran into the middle of the bathroom, and later the drips from the shower curtian also went into the room, causing a fall hazard. I would like to suggest that these items are addressed.

Totally disgusting - I got sooo sick here - they gave me rooms WITH MOLD all other the ceiling - changed rooms and gave me another room with BLACK MOLD in the bathroom - NONE of their bathrooms have exhaust fans and they are loaded with mold

The photos are nothing like what the hotel really is. The pool room is disgusting. No fan, no ventilation. The paint is peeling and falling into the pool. The sky light is molded and disgusting. The rooms have a musky smell. Pain chips in the bathtub. Do not recommend staying here.

Roaches in the hallway! in the room the electrical outlet were missing the plate cover which is dangerous. Also the shower curtain is so short you can keep it in the tub when showering

This is our 3rd stay in this hotel. We find it to be convenient, quiet, clean, and has comfortable beds.

Awesome place staff well maintained clean and comfortable

There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the windows were filthy-you could hardly see through them. The safe would not open and there was only 1 drinking glass next to the ice bucket. I asked for a high floor and a corner room and got neither.

When we first arrived at our room, the AC wasn’t working properly. We were offered a new room in a recently renovated area. The room was great, except the water never got hot. The tub barely got warm, and the shower was even colder. Overall, the room was fine.

Older property, long hallways with dated designs. Older AC unit inside room was very noisy (it was extremely hot when I visited). Check-in staff seemed bored and said very little other than “the elevators are around there”

Room had a strange smell like a strong cleaner or spray to remove smoke . Air system was ridiculously loud every time it came on it woke you up.

The check-in was very disappointing. The front desk staff member, Brandon I believe, could not relate to someone requesting a quiet room. He was stuck on the statement that he "could not control the noise" from the room(s) next door. Of course I know that and my request has to do with the noise from other controllable factors such as road noise, ice machine, elevators, someone above you, etc. Obviously he does not travel much. He needs to be trained better and his attitude was a real negative for me. Anyway, the hotel otherwise was just OK to disappointing. I noted an AC system that was very noisy, furniture with some broken pieces, etc.

First, I read a review that indicated that "you get what you pay for" in a negative way - I have to say I have no idea where that person stayed, because this hotel definitely exceeded my expectation while maintaining a fair nightly rate. The room was huge. We needed extra space to relax while working around our New College student's schedule. The couch was comfortable and we had room to stretch out. Shower pressure was amazing and thats a big deal after a day that consisted of 5 literal miles of walking. The breakfast buffet was standard, however, the effort put into a multitude of options was above and beyond. Most hotels have foregone providing such a nice spread - and I truly appreciated it. The staff - so nice. Aydin at the front desk deserves a raise. From checking us in (while another woman rudely interjecting herself -because she couldn't wait her turn) to my overhearing him handling a difficult person on the phone (also- the snack selection was so large that I had a hard time picking and thus heard a lot of the interaction) - he's composed, empathetic and accommodating. The bartenders were so much fun to talk to. All in all we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The one, minor, thing I could point out - the hotel is immaculately clean, however, the hallway carpets could use a shampoo. Just to improve the smell in the hallway.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the room next door. We happened to have very unruly kids next door bagging walls and screaming until midnight. Didn’t hear any adult voices in the room either. Next time I’ll choose a different hotel due to lack of sound-proofing.

Clean room, sample shampoo was half empty so didn’t use them. The walls are thin, could hear next door on the phone til late hours. Tried to turn thermostat fan to on instead of auto to drown out the noise but it kept turning off anyway. Dining was delicious! Staff were friendly.

This is a great choice for a overnite stop on a long trip. Great value for a king size room. Clean, great shower, comfortable bed and close to the highway.

Older hotel. Clean. Hall and room carpets may have recently been replaced. Room furniture is looking aged. Very heavily scratched and knicked up. Old style aged tubs and low height bath counter top. No staff at front desk when we arrived at 3:30 pm to check in. Waited at least 5 mins for someone to arrive.

A request was made to have a room close to the elevator due to an 85 year old woman having mobility issues. Our room was far away from the elevator and she had difficulty walking to it. When this was brought up the desk clerks attention, his response was “it could be worse”.

Front desk staff was amazing. I wish I could remember her name. She deserves a raise.

The room was nice but we stayed two days and our room was never restocked. Nothing was done and we had to ask for new towels, more coffee and they never emptied our trash until we said something. Also it would be nice to put something in the room where the ice machine was and that there was a microwave in the lobby.

The property is aging and sorely needs renovation. The elevator is very slow. Housekeeping takes your used towels but doesn't leave clean ones. I had to call every day to get towels! Seedy crowd with trucks from local businesses parked in the lot and workers loitering. Doesn't feel safe. I would not stay there again. It's much too expensive for the poor condition of the property.

I gave the hotel five stars in terms of the rating because of an excellent staff member (Jade). She was very friendly, helpful and courteous.

An employee gave the key of my room to strangers they went in to my room and made a mess

First time staying at Wyndham and I was very satisfied. The lobby was very clear, and it’s 10 minutes to local restaurants and shops.

A great and reasonable hotel located off Interstate 84 in Southbury .

I had to ask three times to get 2 extra pillows. In the morning housekeeping kept knocking on our door even with the do not disturb sign and I had to call the front desk to get them to stop. Location is convenient and safe. The room was clean and maintained well. The building needs some work outside, chipping paint in multiple places makes it look quite dull.

Clean & Spacious room. We could hear the freeway noise but fortunately it calmed down around 11 pm. We thought the restaurant would be open for breakfast but it wasn’t. We had to drive to the next exit on the freeway to find a place to sit down for breakfast. There is very little nearby.

This place is really convenient for me and the price is right. Rooms are comfortable and large.

A wonderful stay off of Interstate 84 in between Middlebury and Southbury. Convenient to restaurants. Very clean in maintaining their guest rooms. Helpful staff. Easy check in and checkout.

The hotel was quite adequate but not really worth the high price of the room. And with a dog, I would have hoped for a room on the lower floors and near the elevator so we would have less trouble getting our dog outside to take care of business but we were put on the top floor about as far away from the elevator as was possible. They were pretty full so that may have caused that oversight. The staff was very pleasant and the room was clean and fresh when we arrived.

When I checked in, I was told, "The restaurant will be open at 6," I was intrigued, since it's so rare for a hotel (one that I can afford, lol) to have its own restaurant. I had been planning to go to a grocery store and getting myself a bagged salad, but instead I decided to check out the restaurant. I chose my table, and the hostess/bartender/server (she does it all) took my drink order and then my dinner order. She was very friendly and engaging, and gave me recommendations when I asked. I ended up choosing French onion soup and a Caesar salad with salmon. Everything was great. My soup was amazing. The cheese was plentiful and melted and just mmmmmmmm... it was sooo good. Then my salad came out. I would have liked a slightly bigger piece of salmon, and a little less dressing on the salad, but it was all very good nonetheless. I ended up moving to the bar after I'd eaten, and made a few new friends. The following evening, I decided to go again. I decided to have a margarita, and Lisette offered me an apple margarita— that was different! And yummy! I ordered the Thai sweet chili wings and they were absolutely perfect. I didn't stay as long that night but it was still enjoyable. Enough about the restaurant, lol. My room was also very nice. It had a refrigerator, and there were USB slots for charging cables built into the wall on both sides of the bed. The TV worked, but the selection was a bit slim. The bathroom had all the necessities as well. I would absolutely stay again.

Super easy check in, delightful staff all around. Breakfast spread in Arrowhead is wonderful and perfectly priced. Perfect homebase from Bradley for back and forth to 845 NY work schedule weekend.

Staff was attentive. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. No free breakfast. Prices for breakfast were outrageous. No microwave you have to ask and hope they have one. Cabinet door to fridge cabinet was broken and did not close. Lamp switch was missing on one side and lamp only worked on one side. This is a no frills hotel.

I liked that the front desk staff was kind and courteous. The dinner restaurant only had one person working so service was spotty and slow.

Breakfast was overpriced for quality of food

Our stay was great! Very clean hotel. Our room with 1King size bed and sofa bed was the perfect size. One small complaint was that hotels.com said free breakfast which we were looking forward to since it was a family stay. Unfortunately it was not free but “breakfast available”. Hopefully they update that for the future.

The room was very nice. The employees were all nice and helpful. The $17 continental breakfast is absolutely ridiculous. It is literally the same breakfast that every other hotel serves and they dont charge.
