I love the CitizenM in general, first time in the Rome one and it was clean, modern room. The bed is very comfortable, the best bed I stayed in the 3 weeks I was traveling. You get an Ipad for the room to control everything, super convenient and easy to use. The location of the hotel is amazing too directly on the Tiber river, only draw back that there is no gym and no pool in this location.

Excellent, comfortable room in a beautiful location in Rome. Rooftop bar is well-priced (not free, don’t make the same mistake I did!) good wines. Shower temp is pretty rotten but the rest of the hotel amenities make up for it. Pre-purchase the breakfast buffet if you have a morning flight, it is totally worth it!

Perfect Roman home base. Walking distance to so many things but peaceful and calm. All the bars and restaurants of Trastevere just across the river and great pastrami sandwiches around the corner. Tiny rooms but comfortable beds and the showers are as lovely as advertised. I find the whole ipad thing a pain but it isn't intrusive. The roof deck is really pleasant but beware, the self serve machines can add up fast!

Modern hotel, great staff! Great breakfast available for purchase. Loved the private rooftop bar. Nice views. Self service Aperol spritz, beer, wine. Room is not much bigger than bed, but well organized.

I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful, modern and easy it was to stay here. Its brand new that just opened in December, 2023. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Check in is easy. Bar and food is 24/7. As a solo female traveller, I felt so safe, as you need a keycard for everything. Its very close to a lot of other sights and restaurants, I walked or scootered everywhere. Getting here from the airport was 30mins, and the airport shuttle was convenient, rather than a taxi or uber. 10/10 would recommend!

Me encantó el hotel: moderno, relajado y con diferentes ambientes para cada ocasión. La ubicación es inmejorable, frente al Tiber y muy cerca de las pricpipales plazas de Trastévere. La atención del personal es muy amable, el hotel es nuevo y completamente digitalizado. Me gustó mucho. Ojalá en algún momento le puedan construir un gimnasio.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very clean, quiet and safe. Just the occassional siren but all hotels have that. Staff are amazing and the facilities are well kept and seem very new. Staff are highly attentive. The rooftop bar is serve yourself using your room key which is very easy and convienient.

Very nice property and close enough location to trasteverse which was nice. Room was small but it was fine for what we needed. The only thing we didn’t like was no daily cleaning services. I think you had to pay for it? Not sure. Even if there was no cleaning, it would have been great if they came by to refresh towels and take out garbage

Just the right amount of amenities. You have to specify to staff to change the sheets when you ask for room cleaning. Noticed that they did not change our sheets when we requested room clean. We only requested one night of room clean.

Stayed on floor 1 for four nights, the pillows weren’t the best. The aircon and heating kept breaking and the staff said they’d ‘reset the system’ and there was a continuous smell of burning / cigarette smoke from outside which was annoying. The iPad didn’t always work either. Other than that it was an okay stay. Don’t even bother with the breakfast. We tried it one morning and it was awful. Paying 18 euros per person for awful no scrambled eggs, awful potato fritters and some odd bacon is really not worth it and felt like a kick in the teeth when I was checking out. The venue also doesn’t have free coffee which is disappointing. There was also an unnerving security guard that lingered around downstairs on his phone staring at you… very odd. Stayed at citizenM in Amsterdam which is why I chose here…

This is a 'no-frills' hotel with all of the basics supplied, but no extras. I was in a single room with queen bed attached shower - modern, clean and comfortable although there was liitle free space for luggage. Breakfasts were excellent.

A nice modern hotel in a great area of Rome. Breakfast was very good. Room was extremely small with literally no room on either side of the bed, just 2 walls. Maybe an upgraded room would make it more enjoyable

Convenient and quiet location close to all major landmarks. Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and high tech. Despite relatively small, all furnitures were well positioned. The only downside was that the bed was only accessible from one side. Overall a great experience.

Fånigt med alla tänkbara funktioner styrda med en padda, gardiner upp och ner, ljusets styrka och färg, temperatur, tv osv. Fungerade förstås inte alltid. Opraktiskt med en säng utan plats på sidorna. Omöjligt för en äldre, handikappad person. Vid huvudändan av den breda sängen finns bara en sänglampa vilket är obegripligt. Trevlig personal och en fantastisk frukost. Hotellet ligger mycket bra i förhållande till sevärdheter och trevliga judiska restauranger.

Our room had too little room. Almost no tables or shelves for stuff, same for bathroom! Bed felt like it was 1 foot off ground. I use a small, mobile walker.. so I guess we were in ‘Accessible’ room.. placed the furthest from elevator ! In an attempt to look chic and modern.. thet try to run everything with iPads! Marriott will do better.. who are the recent new owners.

The CitizenM in Rome was fantastic. The check in was quick and straightforward (there were self service kiosks, with someone always there to help out if needed) and the property is clean and modern. The guestroom view upgrade was very much worth it, with a view of fall colors and the Tiber river. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious and after the fun chaos of Rome it was a chill place to relax and recharge for another day. I usually did an early breakfast so it was never busy and the food and coffee were decent. The area is very walkable with a good amount of restaurants and things to do very close by. (Pantheon is about a 15 min walk, Forum Romanum around 25, and St Peters is a little over 35 min but a pleasant walk along the river) I'd definitely recommend this place to friends.

Yes the staff was amazing and always looking to help from the check in to the bar restaurant and again at the reception in the morning to help with our tour booking and organizing Amazing The room was very clean little bit small but easy to deal with with all the lights and more The location was great and easy to travel Thank you very very much for everything Best regards Pini and Colette Avital

Check in and check out needs humans!!!!!!!!!! One poor overworked woman is not enough. Fire alarm at 9am, but nobody in lobby bothered to tell us it was a false alarm. We had to ask. Otherwise the hotel was comfortable and everything else was nice.

Hotel que ofrece una excelente ubicación para poder caminar por los principales lugares de Roma de ahí puede salir a hacer coliseo Hola fuente de Trevi y por la noche pasear por la plaza de Fiore, el cuarto muy automatizado todo se controla desde un iPad, el check-in se hace tedioso porque quieren que el huésped lo haga personalmente si lo hiciera el personal del hotel creo que sería más rápido y menos tedioso ya que el personal es muy amable pero al tener que ser tú tu propio registro te tardas más de la cuenta

Great location for easy walkable access to many of the main attractions of Rome. Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Spanish Steps, Palace on Palatine Hill, Vatican, are all within 20-30 minutes on foot. Trastevere, Jewish Quarter, neighborhoods surrounding Trevi etc are all around the hotel, making coffee and food and trendy restaurants all very nearby. Located on a main artery that goes along side the river, you can easily get Ubers or taxi pickups. At the same time, our room was very quiet and we slept well. Air Conditioning was great. The room itself is fairly small, but the bed was king sized. Rooftop terrace is cute.

Convenient location for Centro Storico, facing onto the Tiber & the Isola Tiberina (yes there is a maternity hospital there, yes you can hear the ambulance sirens sometimes, but not so much at night & I was ok, despite being an incredibly light sleeper). Bus & tram stops within 5/10 mins walk. Campo di Fiori right behind hotel, Trastevere just across the bridge. Nice roof terrace with wine & beer facing onto Jewish Quarter, good bar downstairs. Supermarket, cafes & bars all close by. 10 min walk to Piazza Navona & less to Largo di Argentina. Great fridge drawer in the room, good shower, huge bed. Only issue was the air con is on constantly (this disturbed me more than the ambulances, but I'm not great with constant low level sounds, so ear plugs helped!).

Loved this hotel, right on the river, just a few minutes walk to the Trestavere neighborhood, which is amazing to walk around at night!! Close to the bus stops to get to the big tourist attractions, very clean, staff was really nice. Overall loved it.

I had a great experience with citizenM. It's located in a very nice area - just across the river from Trastevere. I walked from the hotel to the Colosseum and other main attractions like the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. It's easy to walk to Vatican, too - just follow the river and it takes you 90% of the way there. Breakfast was good, room was super cool (even though the bed was a bit hard for me). The staff was super friendly and always ready to answer questions, the hotel feel was really cool. About 30 minutes from the airport with a taxi (flat fee of 55 EUR). The price is a bit high, but you get a new hotel. Close to restaurants, a supermarket literally around the corner - and within walking distance to everything. Would stay there again.

Over all I’m glad I chose this hotel. Perfect location, close to most of the places to see but not as busy or noisy as the ones near the touristy areas. The hotel was just across from Trastevere and 1 block away from the back of the hotel to more restaurants and small shops. But not a lot of noise at night. I also felt safe walking around at night. All the staff members are all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean - from the lobby, bar area, elevator and of course my room and bathroom! I did not have breakfast at the hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 👌

Stayed on floor 1 for four nights, the pillows weren’t the best. The aircon and heating kept breaking and the staff said they’d ‘reset the system’ and there was a continuous smell of burning / cigarette smoke from outside which was annoying. The iPad didn’t always work either. Other than that it was an okay stay. Don’t even bother with the breakfast. We tried it one morning and it was awful. Paying 18 euros per person for awful no scrambled eggs, awful potato fritters and some odd bacon is really not worth it and felt like a kick in the teeth when I was checking out. The venue also doesn’t have free coffee which is disappointing. There was also an unnerving security guard that lingered around downstairs on his phone staring at you… very odd. Stayed at citizenM in Amsterdam which is why I chose here…

The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the proximity to all of the areas we wanted to visit. Also our hotel was very safe with security along with using your hotel card for access to the doors as well as the elevator. Breakfast had many options from hot to cold along with fresh orange juice you make yourself. Along with coffee you feel like having.

The CitizenM in Rome was fantastic. The check in was quick and straightforward (there were self service kiosks, with someone always there to help out if needed) and the property is clean and modern. The guestroom view upgrade was very much worth it, with a view of fall colors and the Tiber river. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious and after the fun chaos of Rome it was a chill place to relax and recharge for another day. I usually did an early breakfast so it was never busy and the food and coffee were decent. The area is very walkable with a good amount of restaurants and things to do very close by. (Pantheon is about a 15 min walk, Forum Romanum around 25, and St Peters is a little over 35 min but a pleasant walk along the river) I'd definitely recommend this place to friends.

L'hotel est vraiment bien, le personnel est agréable, souriant et à l'écoute. Je ne regrette pas avoir réservé cette hotel car je trouve l'emplacement à mi-chemin de partout pour les sites historiques, c'est top. La chambre est super propre, fonctionnelle, sonorisante rien à dire de ce côté "parfait". Cependant, le petit déjeuner est trop trop cher pour une variété très pauvre, pareil pour les cocktails c'est abusé à ce niveau c'est le seul bémol de cette hotel pour moi.

The layout of the room might be a challenge for someone with difficulty moving around. The bed is encased by the walls and the only way to get into and out of it is to climb up from the bottom of the bed. Bathroom is large and shower was great. Breakfast was Ok. Location is great.

citizenM Rome Isola Tiberina is great and just across Trastevere a short walk over the bridge, so you get its food and nightlife whenever you want them and quiet when you come back. Campo de' Fiori, Largo Argentina and the Pantheon are all easy walks, and we covered most of the historic center on foot. The rooms are compact by design but genuinely well thought out — we never felt cramped. Lights, blinds, climate and the TV all run from a tablet by the bed, which sounds like a gimmick and turns out to be the opposite once you've used it for a day. The blackout blinds work properly and kept me well rested. Breakfast was excellent too. What lifted the stay, though, was the team. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and genuinely helpful, and Roxana, Simona and Sofia deserve a particular mention — attentive without ever being intrusive, and happy to help with anything we asked. Modern, well run, brilliantly located, and staffed by people who clearly care. We'd book it again without hesitating.
