Tropical Winds Resort Hotel

Room door 'stuck ' and was hard to open Balcony sliding door didn't fully close, gap from top to bottom about 1/8". Phone did not work to call desk or otherwise. Key card for room door stopped working and took too long to rectify (3 retries, none worked and THEN staff actually investigated what was happening, rather than make a new set of keys, which ended up not working. Was not happy about spending an hour going up and down to the front to deal with it. Asked for towels, needed them replaced due to a spill we cleaned up. Had to ask 3 diff times throughout the day and never received them. We ended up getting them from a cleaning lady/cart we happened to see. Very expensive room. Stayed in a condo just a block away with much better amenities, a bedroom, kitchen, and w/d at a resort with 3 pools a lazy river and waterslide, on the beach, for 4 nights for only 200 more than this 650 3 night stay.

My room smell like old stale smoke, I didn’t even stay in the room.

Wonderfully located on the beach. The rooms are spacious. A nice place to stay while visiting Daytona Beach.

Room was clean. Staff was helpful. However we only had 3 towels in the room for 5 of us and we had a couple of bugs in the room. Also only one tiny shampoo and conditioner. One of the Elevators was down the first day but was fixed by the next day. Not one of the best hotels I've stayed at but definitely not the worst.
