The property is in a great location. Parking is a nightmare. The walls are paper thin. There were loud parties in adjoining rooms and no one onsite to do anything about it. The air conditioner was rattling and very loud. Breakfast was good. The atmospheric f the place feels like key west.

every food option under the sun was available, everything was with in walking distance. night life was abundant, music was everywhere. shoppers paradise. a week was not enough will be back...The breakfast that was available every morning from 8 to 10 was outstanding the ladies that run the onsite cafe where both attentive and charming. The pool was relaxing and needed after a day of out on the town. the Parking can be an issue but options are available. would definitely stay here again.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately renovations were being done during our visit so it was a little inconvenient getting to the pool and breakfast area. The pool was not heated and the water was cold. Not much sun hits the water. There are beautiful garden area with a hammock to relax and listen to the water fountain. Nice perk getting a welcome drink upon arrival. We loved our balcony view of Duval street. Would definitely stay here again.

Duval house is a hidden gem! Great staff, delicious breakfast, walking distance to all major restaurants and attractions, clean, quiet (key west is known for its roosters, but the AC was perfect to hide their noise (only a slight walking steps from above). The hotel yard is beautiful, the pool is convenient for the late afternoon heat, parking is charged but it was right in the premises. They referred us to a scooter rental place who offered a better price and the welcome drink came in handy. The room 24 was spacious and it had a fridge, 2 double beds and a porch. I would definitely stay there again!

What’s not to like about this place. Right on Duval Street. Free parking out back. Walk to everything. The people were wonderful. The rooms were spotless. Had a balcony overlooking the back pool. Absolutely beautiful. Like sitting in your own private rainforest. Pool was small but really clean. Everyone we met there were friendly and nice. Great experience. 10 stars!

The good: We had a very enjoyable stay - the staff is very nice and friendly, room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Location is great and the on site parking while very tight is a nice option that many other properties don’t offer. The pool is nice and well maintained, and continental breakfast was a nice surprise as I didnt realize it was included. The not so good: Room needed a deep cleaning on the light fixtures and other high areas. The doors on the room don’t have seals so there is a lot of heat loss; the AC could barely keep up with the summer heat. Overall: we would stay there again! We have stayed at a nearby property previously and definitely prefer this one. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the historic district don’t hesitate to book a stay here.

The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable. BUT my room was deplorable. It had what appeared to be black mold, lamp was wired directly to hole in wall, bathroom came with toilet brush and plunger, poorly placed/hard to find switches, flimsy door. Looks as though room had flooded at some point and was poorly repaired. I have several pictures to document this.

Pros - Great location. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to see. No safety concerns as a solo female traveller. Cons - Staff not the friendliest to me compared to other guest interactions I saw, especially the ladies who ran breakfast. Cleanliness could be improved upon. Furniture was all stained and I found a cockroach in the bedroom.

Such a cute property. We loved our stay at the Duval house. Check-in was easy and bonus was given a free drink at check-in. Room is quiet and comfortable. Bathrooms updated and shower was wonderful. Grounds were a little tropical oasis!

The room was fine. For what you pay to stay there you would hope it would be in good condition. Bed pretty comfortable. Water literally trickled out of the shower. Faucet twirled around not adhered to the counter. Not clean. Our feet were filthy from walking on the floor. Parking was insane. Barely room to maneuver. Most definitely would not stay again

Cute hotel in the heart of the happening Duvall St in Key West. Able to rent bikes which was a great way to see the island. Window air conditioners were loud and made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast outdoors was nice and the family style seating at breakfast allowed us to meet some very nice fellow travelers. Staff was friendly. Had never been to KW before and would have preferred a quieter hotel with more updated amenities. Great value no frills hotel in popular location.

We must have been in one of the 100 year old rooms, because I could hear every word our neighbors spoke. That said, they were respectful and the hotel was quiet when I went to bed. No issues sleeping. Great breakfast!

Perfect location if you love the action on Duval St., which i do. Close to restaurants, sightseeing, shopping. Lovely gardens in back and idyllic pool. Good, well staffed breakfast. Friendly front desk. Just avoid room #5. Pretty compact and on a busy hallway. Closing blinds for privacy leaves you in a cave. Cable was out both days i was there if that matters to you. And a loud argument woke me up at 3 a.m. Go for a room farther in back and you will enjoy your stay.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Key West! Absolutely wonderful vacation that was made possible by the great staff and atmosphere at The Duval House. Very welcoming and prompt communication, the free drink at check in is a great way to start your down time. Breakfast has an assortment of pastries, fruit, home made yogurt parfaits and be sure not to miss the waffle! The cabana rooms are quite small but the square footage is covered when you book the room, it was just a bit of a shock. Regardless of the size the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and at the end of the day it's just a place to sleep and shower, the grounds of the property are where we spent most of our time while at the hotel. There's all sorts of hidden treasures here; fish ponds, the huge courtyard tree, a hammock and a covered gazebo, and a few cats running around as well! Thank you to the staff for a great vacation!

The main complaints we had was the noise in the room. The in wall air conditioner was extremely loud and was cycling on and off frequently making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The room itself let in every outside noise from noisy vehicles driving by and the roosters crowing first thing in the morning. We could hear it all.

This place is like a jungle in the court yard area. With lots of iguanas in the trees. It was fun watching them move around in the trees. The staff was great but there were a few times our room service we requested was not done at all. But the staff quickly made it right. You are right on Duval St. so some noise but nothing we couldn’t handle. Breakfast every morning was a nice option to have right on the property and it was included in the stay. I loved it is an all adult facility. It was walkable to most place we want to see and the rest we just ubered.

Absolutely perfect location! Loved the grounds and the atmosphere of the Duval House. Would have been perfect for a shorter stay. We were there for six nights—requested housekeeping after three nights—never got it. Requested towels when housekeeping failed to show; never delivered—husband had to seek out the towels. Six nights is a bit long for no housekeeping. Breakfast is a nice inclusion.

Great property and wonderful staff! The breakfast staff was so friendly and accommodating. Quiet for the most part, however, there were two spring break rooms of rowdy, drunk kids who would come back at 2am wake up the entire resort. Told manager about it the next day, nothing done same issue the second night but thankfully they left. Many guests complained…only negative about our stay

Check in was great. We arrived very early but they started the check in paperwork, stored our luggage, gave us a tour of the whole place, gave us referrals of places to eat and things to do, gave us a welcome drink and texted us when our room was ready. Very friendly and helpful!

We had an overnight stay at the Duval House and the staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and all around great. The grounds are beautiful, the free breakfast was delicious (especially the waffles!) and the room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. Duval House is a nice place to stay. Although it might be noisy late at night. Our room was close to the entrance so we heard people speaking sometimes. The garden is beautiful. Duval House is relatively far from beaches (20 min walk, beware, it adds up and becomes tiring) but close to bars and nightlife.

Wow - this placeis SUPER Nice! The back garden area is an oasis! The check-in staff was great. The coffee/breakfast area staff were super friendly! We were going to get breakfast down the street untill we saw all the fresh fruit and belgian wafflles made to our liking 👍.

The cabana rooms are quite small but the square footage is covered when you book the room, it was just a bit of a shock. I am not one to write a bad review, and i don't think I ever have. But I have to be fair to subsequent guests and alert them to our experience. Some of the issues were un-avoidable and I am not even bringing those into question, like not being able to check in until after 5:30 when guaranteed check in is 3 pm. The real issues started with the fact I have stayed here before and didn't realize their are entirely different rooms thta you could end up with. We had stayed in room 21 in the past, which albeit is on 2nd floor and that may turn off some people, but room is updated, spacious and overall a great place to unwind. It even has it's own balcony to enjoy. However this trip we were given room 14, which at first glance isn't bad - 1st floor, near pool, near kitchen breakfast area. However, after expecting the larger type room that 21 is, this room is about 100 sq ft and for that I am being generous. The shower is so small it is hard to even fit in it. That also sits directly across from the stool and the 2 together are so close it is almost impossible to move. The bed barely fits is the room and is very small - maybe full? But the real part comes in that the door had large openings top and bottom and we have both lizzard's and bugs in the room. There was no way to prevent this. Also as mentioned it is close to pool and kitchen. Both of which made it hard to enjoy anytime in the room. Pool was loud at night and the kictehn will start banging around at 6:30 am!
