Pool was adequate, just had a bit of leaves in the water.

Great place. Free laundry facilities. Nice kitchenette with full fridge. If in the area I would recommend.

Good value for money. Swimming pool is right next to a highway and fitness room shares space with laundry. We stayed a night before getting the auto yrain at Sanford. Overall quite pleasant.

Room was very clean and very spacious. Full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and small stove eye. Everything you needed as far as utensils and plateware was included. Pool onsite with a gazebo with grills and tables. 24hr coffee downstairs. Hotel is also pet friendly which we didn’t realize and were pretty bummed that we could have brought out bestest boy. Location was safe and super close to restaurants, stores etc. There was even a super nice Top Golf about a 1/4 mile down on the same road. Easy commute to UCF for the football game. This was our first time staying at an IHG branded suites hotel, we’ve stayed at Hilton branded ones a few times but I will say I will definitely use this hotel when we’re back in the area and look at other Candlwood Suites when we travel elsewhere.

First floor elevator cannot be entered so you have to haul your bags up to second floor and get on. Ants on kitchen counter. The two days I stayed there was no hot water (not lukewarm, just ice cold). I called the front desk with questions about this and they told me two different times they would call right back. No one did. Ultimately I was refunded for 1 of my 2 nights, biggest disappointment was a freezing cold shower before I left.

The hotel is convenient to Boom Bah Sports Complex. BUT, the hotel is in severe disrepair. The elevator was broken. The HVAC in my room did not work. It would not heat on a 45 degree weekend:so COLD and uncomfortable! The shower water pressure was weak. I had to carry my luggage to my upper floor room because the elevator call button was broken. I won’t be staying at any IHG hotels in the future (and I am a member).

Besides the extremely friendly staff, weekly room cleaning, pool, gym, free laundry, free 24/7 coffee, 24/7 front desk, this hotel has literally EVERYTHING you need. It truly is a home away from home!

Inoperable elevator, running toilet, rusty drain stop in shower

Nice clean hotel but I do have a few complaints. First is the elevator was down when I was there. Second is the AC/heat wasn't working in my room and finally the hotel is right next to the highway so traffic noise can be loud and keep you awake all night. If you're a light sleeper you want a room on the other side. The room itself was modern, clean and bright.

It was a disappointment to say the lease. The room itself appeared clean when we first got in but unfortunately wasn't. THERE WERE FLEAS IN THE BED. Ms. D(Diana) on overnight was very understanding and polite about getting us moved to a new room, came in to check it with us, and gave us some drinks for our inconvenience. I thought I would finally be able to rest only to find the next room had mini ants/bugs crawling on the counters onto our bags. I held Candlewood to a higher standard than this. PLEASE GET YOUR HOTEL PEST CONTROL IF YOU'RE GOING TO ALLOW PETS.

Everything went well, room looks better than what you will think from outside building area point of view. Love the dove products. Only issue was the water not being safe! And there is mold in the sink drain and shower head holder area in handicap room. That was a turn off. But I’ll stay here again for the price!

While the staff were very kind and accommodating, this hotel is VERY dated and our room was filthy! Our sheets literally had holes in them. The microwave door handle was held together with duct tape. And the room reeked of stale cigarettes. Those are just some examples … luckily Expedia gave us a refund and we were able to find another hotel nearby that was in much better shape. I do not recommend this hotel.

Took 10 minutes for anyone to appear at the front desk. The person that did finally arrive looked like she’d been out shopping. There were 2 German Roaches in my bathroom when I woke up!!

We checked into Candlewood Suites for the first time and were very impressed. The kitchen had a stove, full size fridge, dishware and cutlery. The room was nice sized with a long table-desk area, comfortable bed and reclining chair. This was an oasis of peace in a busy area. The bathroom amenities included make up remover pads, a shower caddy of regular sized toiletries that just required a tap to use (no chasing tiny bottles in the shower). The room was spotless. The many extra touches made our stay comfortable and we will definitely look for Candlewood Suites in future travels. Thank you!

This hotel should not have a 8.0 rating. The overpriced room smelled stale , moldy and old . I woke up with an itchy throat. Dead bugs in the bed and throughout the bathroom . The bed was comfortable and the kitchen area was clean. Besides the smell and the bugs it is a overall ok hotel

There were cockroaches in the room and the smell was horrible in the hallway and inside the room. Carpet also smells horrible.

Wonderful and super clean!

As a Florida girl I am used to bugs. But after discovering many dead little beetles in the bathroom, in the curtains, one on top of the bed, I did report it to the front desk. I said I was fine because they were dead. In the morning, there were live bugs (about 25) in different places. Told the front desk that there were now live ones and that I had reported dead ones yesterday. She stopped writing and said “Oh, you’ve already reported it.” Very disappointed in their response.

Amenities were excellent. The hotel is very outdated. Rooms old, dusty and in need of renovation. Service was excellent.

Easy check in. Lady at desk was pleasant and polite. No breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. AC unit had a really annoying squeak all the time. Our room backed onto I 4, very noizy all night.

The property is located next to a busy interstate and our room was located on the side of the building closest to it. There was a lot of traffic noise. The room itself was very clean and had plenty of space including a well equipped kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our stay was very comfortable and we would stay there again.

It was clean enough but the room furniture was worn and old! Bathroom door was falling apart at the bottom,, example.

First night I was on the side by I 4, terrible road noise and didn’t sleep well. The hotel staff was accommodating and moved me for the second night, so much better. Not fancy, clean and friendly staff.

My purpose for travel was to visit family and this hotel had the most convenient location with pretty good reviews. I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. Check in was quick and easy and the agent at the desk was pretty friendly. The room was clean and adequate for my needs with a large bathroom. I didn’t cook or eat in the room but there is a small kitchen with full-size refrigerator, small stove, dishwasher and utensils for guests that want to prepare their own meals. My issues with the hotel were: 1. Walls were thin and it was impossible to get a good night sleep. You could hear the maids in the morning or people when they passed. Also the people above were always dropping things in the middle of the night. One night, I swear they were building something in the room. 2. Went down to the front desk and I noticed the agent was on the phone but at no point did she even acknowledge me as I stood and waited. After waiting a few minutes, I decided to get something from the car. When I returned she was still on the telephone. I waited another 5 mins before she even acknowledged me. When she did she was very dismissive. I asked if I could get fresh tow Asked for fresh towels to be told they had none at that time. I asked if they would have some later and if it was possible to get some delivered. I was told sure but at no point did she ask my room number. I gave her my room number as I was leaving but she didn’t take a note nor were towels placed in my room when I returned.

My flight was delayed, then canceled. I called the property to change my four night stay to three nights and they replied that it wouldn’t be an issue. Running the dishwasher caused the sink to back up filling the sink halfway, then the dishwasher began to leak onto the flooring. Finally, when checking out I was charged for all four nights.

Never stayed here before, check in was super quick and easy. The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful and we were in our room 10 mins after 3.

Easy access to family, highway, shopping and dining

Candlewood Suites are actually set up like a small apartment. Nice kitchen with all appliances and even dishes and silverware. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and there are a ton of places to eat nearby. The only small negative is the hotel is just off I-4 so you do hear traffic so if you're a light sleeper, it might be an issue. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend Candlewood.

Convenient and close to shopping

Great location with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby, easy access to the highway. Great amenities and spacious room. Staff was attentive and friendly. We traveled daily to Orlando and Daytona Beach so this was a great central location.

Excellent, great location, price, everything

We chose this hotel because it was closest to our friends home. Upon arriving the location of located in dark road , check staff were nice. Elevator did not work in 1st floor so you had to take stairs to 2 nd floor then take elevator which is weird. Floors in hallway to rooms were very dirty & had a smell. Room was very noisy as we were on the 4th floor on the highway side. I would not stay here again for the high price & lack of care for the property & hotel.

I like the staff friendlyness , Its clean and safe. Great location. The only think i dont like about this establishment , is that it doesnt offer breakfast.

Property does not look the way the pictures show. Update is much needed. An additional security fee was charged at check in (no worries for me) but was not aware. Room smelled very old and molding. Carpet and curtains were damp and smelly. Bathroom door could barely close made loud noise when closing. Small store was ok charged after but could've found space for free breakfast at least. Area is good but full building needs a complete update.

This hotel was amazing. The staff was very kind and helpful the entire time. The room was amazing and very comfortable. I was excited to see that there was a bathtub. I travel often for work purposes. I will definetly ensure to look for this hotel chain first wherever I go. The price was excellent and I appreciated the full option for cooking if I wanted to.

The hotel was nice. No free breakfast, but they had a nice selection of items you could purchase, plus free coffee. It was an easy drive to the Sanford airport in the morning.

I wasn’t pleased they gave me a handicapped room on the 1 st floor. Was very noisy from the noise outside and the air conditioner when it outdoor click on. When I made my reservation it stated breakfast included. There was no breakfast offered only coffee or tea. Wasn’t what I was expecting.
