Nice place for a stop. Grandkids liked the waterside. It was great the pool had extended hours as we checked in after 7 pm and they still had time to swim. Breakfast was good, standard hotel breakfast. Waffles, cereal, toast, eggs, sausage, yogurt. Staff was very friendly,

We chose the hotel for the pool slide. My kids love to find a place with a water slide on vacation. Grand view lodge in Niswa is a favorite of our. Both are fully independent swimmers, can tread water for several minutes, dive to the deep end and swim laps. But they are 44 and 46” tall. No go for this slide. The high school girl attending the slide said no go. The hotel, otherwise, was nothing to write home about. Dated, clean enough - the circulation on the pool deck wasn’t great. Terrible on eyes and lungs. Wading pool was closed for cleanliness. Will stay somewhere else on the north shore next time.

The pool’s ventilation system was apparently down but it was still running. The pool area had a slide. However you could not stay in the pool area for more than 20-30 minutes without your eyes and skin burning from the fumes. The front desk lady upon our check in was very kind and helpful. After she had left we had a few requests extra towels and more sheets as there was none, the returning people at the front desk they were very short and not friendly. Our hotel room was not clean and we found old milk container beside the bed that had dust on it it was there so long. We had 6 people in to sleep and was originally set up for two beds and a bunk. We ended up getting a kind bed and a pull out which was HIGHLY uncomfortable and not able to sleep in it. For the amount of money we had spent we were very uncomfortable.

The room was great, i thought it had a pull out but it didn't. But clean. We had a lake view which was great, but there was viable garbage from a remodel in the wooded area behind our room. Like file cabinets and shelving were just thrown out there. The staff were friendly and kind, couldn't be better. The pool had way too much chlorine, it burned our eyes and had everyone coughing. So not really relaxing. Couldn't turn the keys on in the hot tub.

I loved the pool area. The power went out and we were not able to enjoy the pool. The power was out for over 9 hours. I was super exvited the pool was open until midnight. I credit we hot was not the greatest considering the power was out most of our stay.

Unfortunately, this hotel has gone downhill. There were food stains on our sheets and only one worker so we had to change the sheets ourselves (which we were fine with). The mattress had a rip and stain in it. The window was glazed over with a haze, not a mist, but a haze that, even when washed, would not go away, and the room smelled like stinky feet. Despite all this, the beds were really comfortable and the hotel was close and convenient to the highway. It has now been sold and will be called Black Beach Inn starting August 1st. I hope things improve as we loved this hotel and have been staying here for years.

It was really dark around the property The lobby was nice only thing that was good.The room was dirty a big red stain on the carpet marks on the wall and MOLD on the shower curtain. Talk to the manager in the morning and He could have cared less. 285.00 for a crap place.I do not recommend at all.

Check-in person was great. We (the kids) were super excited about the waterslide only to find out it doesn’t open until 5pm on Fridays-around 510 I asked the front desk worker if there would be anyone available to run the slide and she looked up from her cell phone and was a bit snippy with me, saying he was making beds that didn’t get done earlier and he’d be down later. (The rest of the staff was kind and helpful for the stay). Once the lifeguard got there, he was great and the kids loved the slide and the pool. Hot tub and pool smelled pretty heavy on the chlorine but no one got sick or got rashes so it was fine. Our hotel room was sufficient but the pillows are pretty pathetic-I needed 3 to even lift my head off the bed. There was also a MAJOR sugar ant infestation. Like, they were ALL over the counter by the TV and even crawling on us while we were going to bed…so that was less than ideal. Overall it was fine because we needed a place to stay for my husband to run Grandma’s Marathon, but we wouldn’t be likely to stay here again.

Room looked like it wasnt cleaned piss on the tolet seat, bottles and wrapers in the tub, dirt and dust on cabinets and tables, couldn't sit in public hot tub it had way to much chemicals it was burning my fiances and my eyes and it lasted all night. Service was very unhappy and seemed to bother them when we asked a question, very unfriendly.

When checking in, the first room had bugs. Asked front staff for another room, second room had dirty sheets! Time to leave! Because we booked through Expedia, I am still waiting for hotel manager to okay a refund! Never had this issue before working with Expedia so I hope they will do right for us with this hotel. I had to have our young adults continue to travel and booked a room in another town. Certainly, this hotel is lacking in staff.

We have stayed here a couple of times. We appreciate the quiet and clean accommodations, as well as, lakeview. The suite with bunks was a great fit for our family and allowed for rest and relaxation without being cramped for space. The breakfast is a nice addition too.

Would not recommend staying here. The rooms were really small and the beds were full size beds not queen size. The rooms were very out dated and had holes in the walls. The rooms did not look clean at all.

We would definitely stay here again. The whirlpool tub in our room was awesome. Our toddler loved the pool area. Great location, we walked down to black beach. Close to all of the state parks.

Really weird room. We had a two room king suite with the air conditioner and fireplace (pilot light constantly provided heat) that worked against each other. The living room with the sofa bed room was really warm, while the bedroom stayed cool. The cover on the sofa bed mattress was filthy. I asked for extra sheets to cover it. I would not stay in a room like this again.

Tiok a family trip to pick up our new kitty and forgot the vet records in the hotel room after checking out. They called to say they found them and that they would mail them to me. So thankful as I'm not sure what I would've done without them.

AVOID. Terrible service at the front desk. Never seen anything like it: people were not just unfriendly but outright hostile. When I asked to be given a different room due to the ice machine and laundry room being close to our room I was informed that they were sold out. The next morning the senior manager told me that in fact 4 other rooms had been available but the front desk couldn't be bothered to move us to a quieter room. Instead we had the pleasure of enduring a largely sleepless night. The senior manager and Wyndham customer care office promised to address the situation. I am still waiting to hear from them again. Cleanliness of the room was not great either and beds were not particularly comfortable. I would say in your own interest - AVOID this hotel under all circumstances. Hope this review of a terrible hotel is a little helpful.

Trash was overflowing, breakfast was cold, help was very rude, no fitness center, rooms very nasty. Tried talking with manager but he refused to talk about anything. Was only trying to have the $250 reduced to at least $180. Im a traveling Nurse and stay at alot of hotels was just hoping for a little compassion. Thank you for your time. Sonya Bland RN

Nice breakfast and good location. Pool area would be fun, but they had just cleaned and refilled the pool so it and the waterslide were not open. Hot tub was nice though. Beds were a little firm for my taste. Clean.

There were literally no dining options within a 10 mile radius. We asked the front desk. They really didn't give much help. Finally went to a gas station and bought chips, cookies and water. The rooms were clean but overpriced.
