Terrible experience. Rooms weren't ready. Old building and dirty. Pool was slimy and had 11 toddlers and kids eating KFC. Pool ladder broken. Bed had a piece metal sticking out from frame which I banged my foot on.

It’s older, but decent. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The linens were clean. The beds are awful. The worst part though was that we booked for the pool and it was completely green and looked as if it had not been cleaned in probably 1-2 weeks. My kids were SO disappointed.

stayed for two nights. on the 2nd night, the key stopped working. Even though i confirmed at the front desk i would receive housekeeping services, I did not. The ice machine in the hotel was broken, and I had to go to the ice machine in the 2nd building for ice.

Terrible stay. The AC unit makes all kinds of funky sounds and knocking all night, toilet would not flush the next morning nearly overflowing but made it necessary to go to lobby to use the bathroom, someone was smoking weed outside near our room and it was coming through the AC vent at 6:30 in the morning, went to the breakfast area and a homeless guy was asleep on one of the tables, trash was piled in bags on the stairwell and not in the trash can, ice machine did not work. Just a total cluster. We had to cancel our 2nd night and go somewhere else.

The room did not smell good at all. My socks were black on the bottom from the carpet. My room did not have a fire alarm. The front desk people were very helpful and friendly. It was very convenient being a seller at the antique show. The outside was kept nice.

Got into my room with double beds and when I pulled sheets back on the first bed close to door , there were tiny pubic type hairs on the bed under the covers . The cleaning staff obviously just remade bed and never changed linens !!! Walked out and requested a refund !!! The bad part is probably won’t get one , since booking through hotels.com. I called hotels.com and nothing they could do ….. since I’ve already checked in . Sorry but no bonus night is worth dealing with what I went through and the fact there very little recourse and the consumer gets screwed. Pictures on website must have been when place was pristine and the water with dock !! It’s a large retention pond . You have been forewarned… should have received negative stars but not an option . The positive, the man behind counter was nice and courteous.

Hotel rooms and lobby/breakfast area were all VERY clean. I would stay here again just based on that, as soon as you walked in the room you smelled the cleaning supplies! Which is good. Building/ conditions were not very well upkept, for example there was a hole in the bathroom door.. tape was put over it and painted over same color as door. The sunset over the lake was to die for, but a little sketchy around the back of the hotel. There are some long term stayers.

There was way too much mold around the bathtub, it should be re-caulked. There was long black hair in the coffee pot and attached to the hand towel. The sink drain was slow too drain, so we pulled out the stopper and it was called with mold and hair.

The room was horrible the linen had stains on it . The mattress for the sofa bed was dirty I’ve been there before wasn’t that bad it was terrible. Bathroom had a smell lamp brown spotted up with stains I’m sorry it wasn’t clean at all.

The place is definitely older and could use a face lift. Rooms are ok, but tubs have a lot of stain and chip marks, carpet dirty, and not well cleaned, but beds were ok and sheets were clean so for one night it was ok. Breakfast was nothing special, but wasn't expecting it to be. The AC worked good so another benefit.

After driving over 9 hours, we get there at 3:00 pm and the room wasn't ready, it wasn't ready for another hour or so! The AC had a funny smell, the phone didn't work, the Internet didn't work, the TV didn't work, the microwave would shut off after 5 seconds. The coffee ran out in the cafeteria and on lobby, no one around, two women who clearly worked there sitting on the couch in the lobby said they couldn't get coffee, it was nightmare! One good thing, they allowed us to have a late check out! Needed more time can't function without caffeine! Lol

This is a great but older hotel right on the lake in Mt Dora. We loved that the room was actually split into 2 rooms with a hallway and sink in the middle. The front part is like a living room and the back is the bedroom. The bedroom had a door that opened to a small patio facing the lake. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy it. It was just a stopover before a 9AM wedding.

The beds were comfortable. This is a rehabbed hotel probably from the 70s, Everything was good but the HD TV was only a 27" so they cheaped out on the TVs. Hot water was hot and bed was very comfortable. There is no butter for your breakfast toast or waffle they use that buttery spread instead which tastes like hell.

The main street is very noisy. The property is a bit dated. Newer carpet in the room, bathroom clean. Bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast choices were limited but worked. Bananas, apples, bagels, bread, waffles, Yogurt, cream cheese, and some sort of egg burrito to put in the microwave. I didn’t have that. Coffee, juice, tea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good for a one night stay.

The front desk attendant was ill equipped for his job. Chris is not helpful, takes no responsibility and thinks his computer talks as he says he doesn't understand anything we were saying and his computer "tells him" things. He is a pure embarrassment for this hotel company. The room was extremely outdated and smelled of must. Ants on the bathroom counter and crawling up the wall. Rusty closet doors. I could go on and on but it just makes me so angry. I have never been so happy to LEAVE a hotel as i was today. Do yourself a BIG favor and spend you money elsewear! You might save some sanity and avoid all awful experiences we had.

Staff NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. No instructions of where was the room. Got locked out twice out of the room, keys didn't work. Hallway and stairs dirty and wet. Check out 0700am there was NOBODY at the count.

We really enjoyed the view of the lake and wildlife (birds) that appeared. There were two things that could be improved upon. The outdoor chairs and table were not cleaned. We really couldn’t use them until we cleaned them ourselves. The other thing is the breakfast….the coffee was very weak and the choices were very limited. Having said that there is a Denny’s just down the road where we had a very good breakfast.

It was a very enjoyable stay from the moment I saw the property. The gentleman at the front desk is very nice and gave me a room facing the lake. Room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was very good. The location is perfect as I was there to visit downtown Mount Dora.

I stayed two nights in this motel. The room was adequate.The price reasonable. The breakfast offered was a disappointment. The breakfast pockets tasted terrible. I would stay here again, for the reasonable overnight price but eat breakfast somewhere else.

In the room: no diagram of facility for evacuation or location of ice machines or vending machines, no TV/channel guide, no area amenities information for food delivery, bathroom light didn\'t work, floor didn\'t look vacuumed. Breakfast - frozen burritos needing to be microwaved were NOT a "hot breakfast" like Hampton Inn who has a meat and egg of some sort in a hot chafing dish. It was more like a continental breakfast with a waffle maker.
