Room layout was great, lots of space, clean and better than expected. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and main strip. Parking was a problem, enough spaces for half the resort. Elevator stopped working on day 2, no garbage bags and Pool shower didn’t work. Beautiful place but needs some maintenance.

The pros: good location, comfortable beds, large balcony. The cons: really needs a ton of TLC. The furniture in the living room were so uncomfortable that most times we would just have to sit in our bedroom. Also needs a deep cleaning! The parking is definitely bad news. They had only 8 or 9 parking spots for the whole tower. The overflow parking was across the street. 10.00 a day as well to park. By the main pool, which you had a short walk to get to, definitely good use an upgrade. They had a small concession house that had not been in use for a while. That would have been very convenient for guests to use. The supposed “fitness area” was temporarily closed. When you are at the beach looking at the resort from that viewpoint, yikes! It looks terrible, rusted out banisters, tarps missing and just looks rundown. Not the worst place but we will definitely not be back.

The 2-bedroom apartment was comfortable, clean, & attractive. However, the elevator across the hall was EXTREMELY loud (sounded like it was straining terribly to go up & down) and disrupted our sleep during the entire weekend. We asked to be moved after the first night, but were turned down. The office said that they would call an elevator technician, but that never happened. In addition, the pool next to the building was closed with caution tape & the attached gate leading to the beach was locked. Parking was across the busy street, which was inconvenient.

Advertised a Tiki Bar and restaurant on the property, no such thing, clerk said it's been gone for years. Also advertised beachside lounge chairs and umbrellas but they did not have them. Also, pics and description make it seem like all the buildings pools and amenities are on the same property but they are not adjacent. The building we stayed at had 12 parking spaces for the whole building. Had to park down the street in another property. The range was rusty, the bathroom sink cabinets were moisture damaged, the exterior stucco on the beach side was chipping off badly and in need of repair and paint, the unit next door to us was being remodeled so a lot of power room noise to wake up to early while on vacation was not pleasant. I don't usually post but for the money they are charging Unwanted to warn others. I would like to mention that the staff was very friendly and helpful which was great.

Property consists of at least two different sites. One is the main building with a nice lobby and new features. The other building has no lobby and older feeling halls which are not air conditioned. The pools are on separate building sites also and this was not explained on checking in.

The main building was under renovations, which was fine, but the BIG main pool was closed, due to some uneven pavers?? The pool at the Palms was dirty. The access to the beach from the resort was closed, even tho there were stairs at the end. The master bedroom ceiling fan was broken. Need better and more furniture for the balcony off the condo. 2 hard chairs, didnt make the outside balcony very enjoyable. Tiki Bar was closed.

We loved the travels lodge. The main building is shut down for renovations which was ok except the main pool was too. We were very happy with the travels lodge, it was quiet and peaceful!

Pool is only open until 8 pm. Tiki bar that was supposed to serve food was closed the entire week. Parking is very tight. Rooms were fine but curtain rods kept falling down. No coffee in lobby in the morning

The room was large . We had 2 bedroom , 2 bath for 2 couples. Plenty of room for all of us. Unit was direct Ocean front over the pool. Views amazing! Beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean. . We had all we needed to make meals . The hot water was off and on in the showers however. Maintenence came and said it was fine but one of us had a lukewarm/cold shower daily then it got hot so it took a long time to get hot. The sliding doors are stained with salt so should be cleaned or replaced. There were only 2 deck chairs for 4 people so we ended up putting dining chairs outside . The overhang/roof areas need to be painted and the canvas covered area at top needs replaced . Not enough parking at our site (there are 3 properties) so we had to park across the street. The pool was clean and temperature was great! The beach access was super close and easy with a foot wash and shower available poolside. Grills also available. We had a great time and would definitely stay again .

We were going to Daytona for a festival for a few days and stayed at this property since it was about 20 minutes away and a less expensive option for a surrounding area. The room was clean but the air conditioner maybe needs to be replaced. It never went below 72 even after running all day. The body wash in the shower was empty and on our last day there we had no water (thankfully we were just checking out). I told the staff downstairs and was told they had to shut it off for an emergency. I also didn't realize this spot is more of a time share and less of a hotel. There are no vending maches, ice, or a spot in the lobby to buy water/drinks/snacks. The spot of the hotel was great though. The pool area was nice and clean with plenty of chairs. It was also so nice to just be able to walk out the gate and be right on the beach. The hotel was also very close to plenty of restaurants and stores where you could stock your room up with waters. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay by the beach and don't need amenities this would be a decent spot.

The main issue I had with this property is that housekeeping did an extremely poor job. From the toilet being absolutely disgusting to used bar soap in the shower, lack of towels, sand piles on the floor, soap and shampoo dispensers being completely empty, somebody really dropped the ball with this one. That being said, the place overall is actually very nice. Front desk was pleasant. I very rarely complain but there we're just too many problems here. When I went to check out in the morning, the elevator was also broken so I had to lug my suitcases down five floors. I'm sure they'll make improvements. They definitely need a housekeeping supervisor on staff though.

Both doors on the side of the building are kept unlocked and anyone can walk in at any time. No maid service during the well, if you want your bed sheets changed you have to do it yourself. Rooms are have sand all over the place, bathroom counters, kitchen table, floors,etc. Living room couch had crumbs, sand underneath the cushions. Maid service does not clean well at all. No restaurant , no phone in rooms to call to the front desk. Will not stay there again.

First of all I booked on hotel.com for Coconut Palms Resort II with 2 nice sized pools and upon check in we were told our room was two properties down and had one very small pool. There was very little parking and had to park across a busy street at another one of their properties. The room smelled awful like an old cigarette smoke and mold. Lots of damage and peeling drywall on the ceilings. The upholstery on the living room furniture was visible FILTHY and damp/sticky? We had to cover everything to feel comfortable sitting on it. All the metal on the pull out couch bed was rusting

The staff was amazing. The room could have been cleaner. The bed was comfortable. The parking was tight. We had a full kitchen and the property walked out to the beach. I would stay here again.

We arrived around 6 they gave us our key and we entered into an unclean room! We then returned to the front and after a bunch of screaming they gave us another room! We paid for oceanfront but instead we got bottom floor pool view which was horrible bc if you left your blinds open to see the ocean everyone is looking in! They then promised us the next day early our original room would be ready! After a long day of baseball we returned and guess what our room was not ready and was advised they don’t know why! Finally we said just give us any room! So a non ocean view they gave us and didn’t want tk refund us our money! This took smelt musty, sliding door doesn’t open and TVs don’t work! We called Expedia and they called the manager who wanted to refund only $100 Expedia agreed it was a joke so EXPEDIA themselves refunded us more and then advised us to contact American Express which we agree! Also parking in our building was 6 spots so in the pouring rain we had to park across the street and get soaked! To top it all off went to urgent care bc my eye got bad and I developed pink eye! They did say it could be from the uncleanliness of the place I am staying at’ wouldn’t recommend!!!!!!

Finally we said just give us any room! So a non ocean view they gave us and didn’t want tk refund us our money! This took smelt musty, sliding door doesn’t open and TVs don’t work! We called Expedia and they called the manager who wanted to refund only $100 Expedia agreed it was a joke so EXPEDIA themselves refunded us more and then advised us to contact American Express which we agree! Also parking in our building was 6 spots so in the pouring rain we had to park across the street and get soaked! To top it all off went to urgent care bc my eye got bad and I developed pink eye! They did say it could be from the uncleanliness of the place I am staying at’ wouldn’t recommend!!!!!!

The room was large . We had 2 bedroom , 2 bath for 2 couples. Plenty of room for all of us. Unit was direct Ocean front over the pool. Views amazing! Beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean. . We had all we needed to make meals . The hot water was off and on in the showers however. Maintenence came and said it was fine but one of us had a lukewarm/cold shower daily then it got hot so it took a long time to get hot. The sliding doors are stained with salt so should be cleaned or replaced. There were only 2 deck chairs for 4 people so we ended up putting dining chairs outside . The overhang/roof areas need to be painted and the canvas covered area at top needs replaced . Not enough parking at our site (there are 3 properties) so we had to park across the street. The pool was clean and temperature was great! The beach access was super close and easy with a foot wash and shower available poolside. Grills also available. We had a great time and would definitely stay again .

This property was a great deal for the price. Easy access to beach and heated pool. Also, walkable to a couple of restaurants. It was a short drive to some nice parks like the National Seashore. The property was clean a pretty quiet. The walls are thin, and we could hear our neighbors. The bed was comfortable and it was not loud late at night.

Upon arrival the room was dirty. I let the front desk know and the guy didnt seem to care. He put in for it to be cleaned the next day. A girl came the next day a swept the cereal up off the floor but nothing else. Evidently the guy who has cleaned it originally was fired. It would have been nice to get to switch rooms but the man at the desk wasnt very helpful.

When I arrived I was given a room on the first floor with a view of the parking lot. The air conditioner was loud and I had trouble with the lights and ceiling fan. The bathtub needed resurfacing. I stayed one night and asked for a new room. They were very receptive to my concerns and moved me to a bungalow. The bungalow was perfect. Thanks to the staff for saving my trip to New Smyrna Beach, FLorida!

I booked months ago with a large group and was shown the main facility as what I was booking. I was the only party put 3 buildings down away from everything. We also had power out in both bathrooms one night. Asked the staff where the breaker was as maintenance couldn't get there until the next day. Running around in the dark to the bathroom is a safety hazard and not acceptable. Maintenance arrives, lifts a picture on the wall and flips a switch....we could've easily done that. Our safety was not a concern. The front desk wrote a report and took my cell number for management to call me...I never received the courtesy of a call....definitely not acceptable.

We arrived around 6 they gave us our key and we entered into an unclean room! We then returned to the front and after a bunch of screaming they gave us another room! We paid for oceanfront but instead we got bottom floor pool view which was horrible bc if you left your blinds open to see the ocean everyone is looking in! They then promised us the next day early our original room would be ready! After a long day of baseball we returned and guess what our room was not ready and was advised they don’t know why! Our new favorite spot! Everything about the property is outstanding. Parking was easy, room was spacious, clean and contained all the kitchen amenities you need. Easy pool and beach access. I had a great stay at Coconut Palms Resort! The location is perfect- right on the beach with beautiful ocean views. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Perfect spot for a beach getaway! Will definitely return.

We were going to Daytona for a festival for a few days and stayed at this property since it was about 20 minutes away and a less expensive option for a surrounding area. The room was clean but the air conditioner maybe needs to be replaced. It never went below 72 even after running all day. The body wash in the shower was empty and on our last day there we had no water (thankfully we were just checking out). I told the staff downstairs and was told they had to shut it off for an emergency. I also didn't realize this spot is more of a time share and less of a hotel. There are no vending maches, ice, or a spot in the lobby to buy water/drinks/snacks. The spot of the hotel was great though. The pool area was nice and clean with plenty of chairs. It was also so nice to just be able to walk out the gate and be right on the beach. The hotel was also very close to plenty of restaurants and stores where you could stock your room up with waters. If you are looking for a cheaper place to stay by the beach and don't need amenities this would be a decent spot.

Both doors on the side of the building are kept unlocked and anyone can walk in at any time. No maid service during the well, if you want your bed sheets changed you have to do it yourself. Rooms are have sand all over the place, bathroom counters, kitchen table, floors,etc. Living room couch had crumbs, sand underneath the cushions. Maid service does not clean well at all. No restaurant , no phone in rooms to call to the front desk. Will not stay there again.

Advertised a Tiki Bar and restaurant on the property, no such thing, clerk said it's been gone for years. Also advertised beachside lounge chairs and umbrellas but they did not have them. The building we stayed at had 12 parking spaces for the whole building. Had to park down the street in another property. The range was rusty, the bathroom sink cabinets were moisture damaged, the exterior stucco on the beach side was chipping off badly and in need of repair and paint, the unit next door to us was being remodeled so a lot of power room noise to wake up to early while on vacation was not pleasant. I don't usually post but for the money they are charging Unwanted to warn others. I would like to mention that the staff was very friendly and helpful which was great.

We ended up leaving. The toilet didn’t flush, there was sand all over the room. They did not have a gym, laundry, or a restaurant that was working. There was also no way to get in touch with management. It was a mess and not conducive to a family of 5 with small kids.

The main building was under renovations, which was fine, but the BIG main pool was closed, due to some uneven pavers?? The pool at the Palms was dirty. The access to the beach from the resort was closed, even tho there were stairs at the end. The master bedroom ceiling fan was broken. Need better and more furniture for the balcony off the condo. 2 hard chairs, didnt make the outside balcony very enjoyable. Tiki Bar was closed.

This is an amazing property! We loved every minute of our stay there. Unfortunately, their 2nd pool and tiki bar are currently not open. The tiki bar service could be moved down into the pool area somewhere. There was no explanation as to why these ammenities are closed. Over all though, awesome place.

The location of this property can't be beat. Just steps from the beach with great views. 24/7 guest laundry is helpful. A quick 5-8 minute walk to popular Flagler Ave and tons of shopping and eating. I have stayed in 3 different style rooms and have found them all to be well appointed and above average for beach-side cleanliness.
