The best part of our stay was the valet service. All of the gentlemen were great is whether we were using the valet service or not and they made sure if we parked on the street we paid the city fee. Very Professional and helpful!!! The room was clean and the beds comfortable but the room smelled like mold. Once the AC unit was running cooler it smelled less so, but it wasn’t where I wanted to hangout. If you need to be close to UTampa then this hotel was perfect. I was there in under two minutes and you could walk too if you wanted to. Many places to eat near by and it’s a quick walk to the waterfront and the Tampa Art museum, both are really nice stops if you have extra time. There is a pool but very small and in between buildings. More for kids to burn off energy than for adults.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated that a property had 1 of 2 elevators out of service on a weekend that was likely sold out for Gasparilla. Room rates significantly increased for the event and check-in and check-out was impossible in any efficient way if one needed a luggage cart. After four unsuccessful attempts to get on the only working elevator that wasnt filled to capacity with guests checking out, hotel staff very kindly assisted in carrying my belongings to the lobby.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was especially large. The valets were so friendly and helpful. The lobby was very large and comfortable. After checking out, we had a few hours before it was time to go to the airport. We found a comfortable area of the lobby with chaise lounge chairs and just rested and watched TV. I appreciated that they had ice water in the lobby. My only complaint would be that there were no ice machines. There was an ice freezer but the one on my floor never had ice in it. I later found out it was not working and there was ice on other floors, but a sign to indicate that would have been appreciated.

The room was very clean but trying to find a place to park for valet was a nightmare and they need more people working valet especially when it is so busy. I felt bad for the one who was running to get cars and people were honking and being so impatient but it was very busy and dangerous . Parking needs to be better.

was told to park in the parking garage, got towed, next day they tell us its vallet only for the garage for $40 a day 🙄 . not to mention fridge did not cool, ac barely worked in room, ice machines were just random bags of ice in a fridge in the hallway. stay next door at the residence inn.. the lobby was a total 180 experience and sad every time i walked through that i did not stay there

Front desk and staff was great. The overall cleanliness was poor! Our bathroom was dirty and the elevator was gross! Carpets were stained and dirty in the hallways. Beds were great just like any Marriott! Good stay it just needs some good thorough cleaning

I requested a crib / pack and play, never received it. Asked front staff, they informed me that they didn’t have any more. Instead I had to move bed to the wall and in doing so, found so much trash underneath the bed that I ended up gagging. There was also pubic hair in the bathtub, on the floor in the bathroom, and there was fecal matter on the inside of the toilet and under the seat.

The hotel was very outdated and not clean. My sheets had stains on them, the AC did not get cool, and there were hairs( not ours) on the bathroom floor and attached to towels. I asked for someone to come check out the AC, but no one ever came.

Stains on floor & furniture. Needed to ask for sheets & towels even though reservation said 3 people.. No hooks for clothes in the bathroom, must put on toilet or floor. Parking in a public lot is $30 day or valet $40 plus. Garbage not removed from room during the 3 days there.

The room was disappointing, there were stains on the sheets and in the bathtub, which made it feel unclean. While the lobby and bar area downstairs were nice, the rooms did not meet the same standard. Unfortunately, this was not the level of quality I expected from a Marriott, and I would not recommend staying here.

Mediocre. Valet staff was very friendly and I didn’t even have a car however the rest of the staff was not very friendly or helpful. Food was overpriced for the quality but tasted good. Bags of ice on each floor instead of an ice machine, but staff did not keep it stocked. Phone in room didn’t work. Housekeeping did half a job. Made the bed but didn’t change the towels or changed the towels but didn’t make the bad. Shower still had hair in it from previous guest. Bed was comfortable and pool was quiet. Carpet felt damp.

Pros: Bed was comfortable, layout of the suite was nice, enjoyed the balcony Cons: bathroom flooded with first flush upon entering room, bar was out of everything, HVAC was pouring water into the living room carpet, outlets on one side of the bed did not work, and in our 5 day stay, our room was never cleaned.

The room was outdated. Broken toilet , a/c dripping and soaking the carpet. Outlets for charging didn’t work, very loud noise from outside life, staff not being helpful. After the several days of complaints they finally switched us to another room. We wouldn’t come back.

Disclaimer: I knew up front I wasn't booking a 4* hotel First off, room looked nothing like the images provided. Don't base your decision on the stock photos. Positives: Staff was friendly, location is in walking distance of pretty much everything downtown. Negatives: Bed worn out, like sleeping on a rock, they never brought us linens for the sofa bed which was fine because my child slept on the sofa as is since the bed portion was sagging/broken when she pulled it out, AC/heater unit in the main living area did not work at all, several light bulbs were burned out in the room, valet pick up and drop off is literally the street in front of the hotel (no pull off except some parallel parking spots that may or may not be in use), fixtures worked but were broken, trim was pulling off the wall corners, and this is the first hotel I've stayed in ever that did not have a clock anywhere in the room. Advertised bed was a King, but I'm fairly sure it's a queen as I could drape my hands off both sides when I reached across it. Other reviews talk of traffic noise at night (outside of the Hotel's control so not a knock on them). This is completely true. I felt at times like I was outside on the balcony due to hearing every car that passed by, and I was several floors up. Also: I'm pretty sure they charged my card for incidentals and parking 3x as I received 3 email receipts with different time stamps today, it's not showing on my card yet so more to come on that.

When I checked in for a late arrival, my room was extremely musty smelling. I found that the in-wall floor air conditioner was leaking water onto the carpet from underneath. The system also made loud, rustling sounds throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. The bathroom floor was also dirty when I checked in. The furniture was falling apart in one section and looked extremely outdated. The toulet would not stop running after flushing it. Overall, this hotel needs some serious work and updating. I hope this review is taken seriously.

Nice hotel. The rooms here were nice and spacious with a comfortable bed and mini balcony to hang out and enjoy some fresh air. What I liked about this hotel the best though was how pleasant the staff was. From the front desk check in to the hotel's coffee shop, everyone I interacted with was very nice and helpful. This was a quick one-night stay and since the hotel restaurant/lounge was unavailable, we found that it was also super close to many restaurants and bars/lounges, so finding a place to east was a breeze. Very good location if you are going on a cruise as it was only about 1 mile away from the port, about a 10-minute drive. Will definitely stay again next time we are back in Tampa for a cruise.

We booked and paid for a King Bed. When we checked in we were informed they did not have any Rooms with a King Bed available. They told us it was because we booked through a 3rd party. Our reservation was for 2 nights. In order to move to a King room the next day we had to pack up our room the next day and they would then let us know when the new room was available. Which is was and we did have a King the 2nd night. The hotel seemed severly understaffed and less than helpful.

I have to say when we checked in the front desk was very short and impatient with us. He was very rude and made us feel very unwelcomed. He was nice to the other people, but didn’t even say hello to us. We asked if he was ready for us and he was very rude.

From the moment we walked in the staff was welcoming from the valet gentleman to the manager on duty. Anastasia the from the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful she alone also get 5 stars from us. Making a great impression of what we were installed for. The room was just like the pictures very nice and the bed was comfortable. Even thou we stay one night. It was the perfect stay for the event we went to that evening. The staff couldn’t make it more enjoyable.

I booked my room and when I got to hotel they said it was not available. I did not receive and upgrade and got a room without what I paid for. That night I walked the area and a bad vehicle accident happened in which I had to help take care of the guy who was severely injured and I was out far past what expected . The next morning I call the front desk to ask for a late checkout and explained the accident that happened and why I slept a bit late and the front desk lady did not have a single ounce of room to extend. I highly recommend! We couldn’t get the tv to come on in our room. I called the front desk and Charles was right on it. He sent help (Maintenance can’t remember his name) bt unfortunately the tv never did work. Due to the inconvenience not only did he (Charles) transfer us to a new room, it was also an upgrade. The customer service was highly above my expectation, friendly, professional, and welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you again Charles for outstanding hospitality!!!

Front check in staff were rude and not helpful. For a Marriott property, it was dirty and out of character for the brand. When the reservation made I requested a roll away bed as we were a party of five going on a larger trip and told not a problem. When we checked in, we were told that they don't do roll away beds and treated us horribly. The 5th guest had to sleep on the floor. The positive side: there are food trucks right across the street which were amazing and highly recommended.

An event at the Tampa Theatre brought us in, great location, walkable distance from the theater. Friendly staff from valet, front desk, and housekeeper, everyone was kind and helpful. Lots of food spots around. Easy to get to from interstate and easy to hop back on when you're ready to leave. Room was great - didn’t have that hotel room mildew smell, very clean! Balcony was worth the upgrade the weather was so nice while we were there. Will be back next time I’m in Tampa for sure.

The property is central and very busy. Lots of vehicle noise. However, we wanted to be right downtown and we got it! The staff were amazing. Friendly and helpful and went above and beyond in 2 different circumstances. I asked for a wheelchair, they loaned us the one they had for several hours and went looking for another one ( 2 people in our party of 9 had mobility difficulties) later my teenagers ordered door dash and we’re waiting for delivery ( the rest of us left the hotel) when it didn’t arrive and was apparently stolen the receptionist we so empathetic and assisted them until we returned. Thank you

Although the room was very small, it was very comfortable. The air condition was turned on when we arrived causing the air to be fresh. The room was exceptionally clean. The front desk team was exceptional. As for value, the price for the room size was, in my opinion, a little overpriced. Compared with Disney, the room sizes were much smaller in this hotel to comparable rooms for lesser cost at Disney resorts. Location was excellent as it was within walking distance to the Straz theater, Art Museum and the down town streets. We would likely visit again because the service was excellent and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Note to out of towners visiting. Parking is VERY challenging. Every spot to park your vehicle will have a costly price whether on the street or in a lot. The hotel offers a valet service. At the time of this post, it was $35. The value of this option is to leave your car with the hotel valet service and walk to all destinations, that would be the most practical strategy. Although it is parked away from the property, my vehicle returned without any dings or dents, etc.

The hotel was close to the port by UBER. The stay was good. The Starbucks in the lobby and also the only place to get breakfast was what was disappointing. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the amenities were good enough. Hotel is located next to a commuter lot which at night becomes a destination for groups of people to hang out at. So it got kind of loud at night on the weekends.

For the price for a night, I would not suggest the hotel. The staff was great but the over building and rooms we had were not. You will have to pay to park, 25-50 dollars. Breakfast is not complimentary, in fact nothing is. Our rooms smelled like wet and mildew with cleaners. The parking lot across the street does not guarantee your spot if you leave even know you paid for a over night stay. Over all a 350 a night rooms I expect better .
