Hotel is fine for a quick trip, overnight stay, but I would not stay here again. Hotel is dated & needs a complete renovation. We got locked out of our room the 2nd day. Had to go to front desk to get our cards re-activated. They never apologized for the inconvenience or gave us a reason why they did not work. Just rescanned the cards & said here you go. The air conditioning in rooms cannot keep up with hot temps outside, even when keeping balcony door & curtains fully closed throughout the day. Could not get the thermostat to get below 70 after running at 68 for over 24hrs. No matter how low we set the air, the thermostat just kept climbing all day. The pool bartender (cant remember name, but started with a J) was very engaging with guests, informing us of pool times & entertainment schedule. There was a good DJ playing when we were there on a Saturday. The pool was pretty crowded during peaks times (1-4pm) when its hot out. Couldnt get a lounge chair unless you claimed before noon. We made do & just dropped our stuff on a nearby couch. Pool is adequate but needs a redo. Pieces chipping off everywhere. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant but they have a breakfast buffet every Saturday & Sunday for $30 per person. Good location on the Riverwalk & within walking distance to restaurants. I recommend eating at American Social & The Sail.

Absolutely loved our room. 4th floor corner room at end of hallway. Views from room were amazing! I would def book the same type of room again & ask for that same room. The hotel has 2 elevators. 1 was broken for our entire stay which was extremely inconvenient. We were in town for a concert with a 50k plus attendance. I would say more than 80% of the hotel guests were there for this concert as well. The line for the elevator was insane. My husband & i actually took the stairs up 4 flights to our room at checkin as the line waiting for the elevator was immense. This hike up the stairs was not good on my bad knee. The front desk said they were working on fixing it, but we never saw any maintenence people there fixing anything. Also, the A/C in our room wouldn't go below 71. Our room was warm. The hot water took a long time to get hot in the shower & only got warm in the bathroom sink. We only stayed 1 night & when we got back from the concert we literally passed out from exhaustion. I called down to get room service, which the front desk said they offered, and was told they did not offer room service. After speaking to the front desk again, they took my order & brought the food to my room. The hotel seemed to be understaffed by my observation. Would I stay there again, yes, but these issues should be addressed. Loved the pool/bar/DJ atmosphere! The pool overlooking the river is spectacular. Staff, including Valet were very polite & friendly.

Fastest checkin ever. Not a bad looking property. That said, there's some things they could spend some money on. Random $25 fee which you can get credit on for drinks? Mandatory valet parking at $44 a day. $75 if you have an oversize vehicle.

This property is in desperate need of renovation, including new carpets, updated bathrooms and furniture and overall modernization. That said, the staff is friendly and helpful, the pool parties are fun and the rates are affordable. I hope that the hotel will soon receive the TLC that it needs.

It was a nice hotel. Great views. Amazing location. I was disappointed that the pool was not open for my entire 3 night stay. But i heard it opened the day we left. Beds were never made and ran out of toilet paper. Had to ask for clean towels and sheets for the sofa bed. Staff was friendly. Did not eat at the hotel but drinks were good. Overall i would return as long as the pool is open.

The bed is hard to sleep on. You get thin sheets to sleep under, there is no comforter. The rooms are freezing cold. The internet kicks you off every 10 min or so, makes it difficult to get any work done. You aren’t allowed to self park, they charge $47.30 to valet park you. There’s a $25 amenity fee. Overall, would not recommend and would not stay there again. It was uncomfortable and not worth the price.

this hotel does not live up to the prices they have. The room had a terrible mold smell, you could see it in the hood. The towels in the bathroom were not clean smelling. Everything looked dirty and unpleasant.

Very disappointing! The room had an overwhelming scent of some type of deodorizer! It was absolutely dirty, stained sheets and bathtub as well as dirty walls and the sliding glass doors and tracks were disgusting. No trashcan in the restroom???? And only a small recycling can in the main sleeping room. You could feel the humidity very damp in the room and the bathroom tile floor grout was black in the traffic areas as well as visible dirt all around the baseboard in there. The in house restaurant had a seat yourself sign up and then no one came to greet us or provide menus for at least 20 minutes. A server finally showed up to take our orders (please note there was no one else in the place so this was not due to them being “in the weeds”) after an additional 20 minutes and then after 30 more minutes we were delivered our sandwich and wings. Neither of which should take that long when there are 0 other customers in the place. The pool towels were also stained. Ridiculous what they charge for this level of accommodation.

The room was filthy. Carpet was dirty, not vacuumed. Bathroom counter was filthy. Furniture in room was beat up. Dirty comforter on the bed. Blood stain on sheet. I would not recommend anyone to this hotel.

Arrived to our room with two broken beds. We had engineering come and replace one of the box springs, however, the other bed was never fixed. The room smelt musty, was outdated and not very clean. Towel had makeup stains on it. We went to have breakfast downstairs one morning and waited 15 mins for someone to greet us which never happened. Carts for luggage were never available and you can only valet your car for the low price of 44$ night. Needless to say, we won’t be back in the future.

Visit for work training onsite. Property recently acquired by Hilton and has not yet received the Hilton touch. Before the front desk staff greet you, the distinct hotel smell will; think riverwalk water trapped in carpet. Room had a balcony with view, but the door didn't work. Many walls in need of deep cleaning or repainting. Nice location, would consider revisiting after renovations.

The employees were exceptional. Welcoming, offered assistance when we needed it. Front desk and valets were exceptionally helpful as well. The hotel, we have stayed at before about 4 years ago but it has gone into a state of extreme disrepair. It was on the water so that was nice and we had a balcony which added some relaxation. The bathroom was not in good condition. It had marks and stains over the sink counter. It appeared they had replaced something in the shower and left all the screws in sinkers in the wall. The carpeting had not been cleaned in a while. It was a bit dusty and dingy. The walls had places at the floorboard that were bulging. The sliding glass doors to the balcony were not secure and they had put plastic on to cut down on the bright sun but the plastic was cracked and bubbling and coming off. It was a mess. Bed was comfortable but the room made us feel uncomfortable because of all the issues and lack of cleanliness. Actually went home a day early but, again, the staff was excellent!

The room was on the street side, noise was relentless all night. It sounded like a drag strip, finally stopped at 4am, then started again at 7:30am. The water faucet did not work on the cold side and the hot was set to boil, good luck washing hands. The rooms were super humid everything felt damp. Our company purchased 7 rooms all reported the same sticky/damp feel in the beds and sheets. It is definitely time for a remodel. The breakfast was the same buffet style you would get at a any other hotel for free. But at this place it is $32 per person. For powderd eggs, soggy pancakes, cheap bacon, and tastless sausage links not even close to worth the money, when the same is free everywhere else.

We went here for a one night staycation just for the views because we always walk by and check it out at night and it looks so cool. I must admit the outside does look a lot better than the interior rooms. They are slightly outdated and could use a facelift. I would give this about a two star hotel rating. Bathrooms were super outdated however, the bed was super comfortable and the view was amazing.

Booked here to have a romantic vacation with the wife. Balcony was nice but room was small and old. Faucets were difficult to turn and the location is horrible. Hotel forces valet parking at $42 a night and nothing is within walking distance. Hotel restaurant has a horrible menu selection and is extremely overpriced. Other than the river view, this hotel offers nothing.

When we 1st got to our room and lowered the thermostat after 1 hour it didn't work so the manager moved us to another room. Unfortunately the same issue occurred there as well. At this point my wife who is handicapped didn't wato move again so we just delt with it. Temperature never went below 74. I'm a Hilton Rewards member and honestly this was my worst experience in a Hilton Hotel. I will not be returning to this location ever again

The bed is hard to sleep on. You get thin sheets to sleep under, there is no comforter. The rooms are freezing cold. The internet kicks you off every 10 min or so, makes it difficult to get any work done. You aren’t allowed to self park, they charge $47.30 to valet park you. There’s a $25 amenity fee. Overall, would not recommend and would not stay there again. It was uncomfortable and not worth the price.

This hotel is maintained by a typical low-priced hotel. The air conditioning didn't work in either room (we had to move and didn't want to move again). The maintenance person did not know how to check the temperature of the air conditioner, so obviously wasn't trained to fix it, nor did he speak English so it was impossible to communicate. The check-in was a nightmare, as the day shift did not communicate with the night staff the info needed to check in. The night desk person was rude to me and kept telling me "You can leave", with 4 teenagers at about 10 at night. Rude behavior. The food and drinks were over-priced, and their excuse was that you were in downtown Tampa. I guess they didn't think they needed to provide the proper service because of their location. Wrong! On Saturday afternoon, they had a DJ at the pool that had the bass cranked up so loud it woke me up from an afternoon nap... it was literally so loud the whole hotel was shaking. Turning up the TV didn't help, it was louder. It was supposedly a pool party, but there were only 5 people by the pool and 1 at the bar! The servers were nice and helpful, but that is the best I can say for the whole experience.

We had an amazing time. From the time we stepped into the hotel. Jose M greeted us with a smile answered every question we had. He also gave us some great suggestions on places to go since this was our first time visiting. The rest of the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be back.

First and foremost the service was excellent across the board at the hotel. Valets, front desk, wait staff, bartenders to house keeping staff were very helpful and on point. The hotel has a bit of wear and tear but provides an excellent stay. A/Cs need a bit of overhaul but still kept room cool. Would stay here again.

Check-in was wonderful! Zoe was very kind & helpful! When we returned to the hotel, around 11:30-11:45pm, I asked the front desk (I think her name is something like Danielle) for food (snack bar) and bottled water. She was not kind or helpful. Told me the restaurant was closed, and I could check with the bar, if they are willing to help me with water. Went to the bar, only to be ignored for about 5-10 minutes. 1 bartender for all the loud rowdy people ending the night for last call. Finally was paid attention to, to find out I need to get bottled water from the front desk. A nice gentleman helped me with the bottled water at the front desk. We were forced to pay $25 for services, which we didn't need or want, so we wasted our $25 on an expensive beer and cocktail from the closing bar. Did not see any areas to gain food/snacks, which most hotels offer. The bed was mildly comfortable, but the pull out couch was horribly uncomfortable. One of our pillows reeked of B.O. so we couldn't use it. Loved the location, but cannot say we're dying to return for future travel.

Location is prime, HOWEVER.. 3 nights into my stay at 3 am a security guard and a RANDOM PEDESTRIAN came banging on my door trying to get in my room stating someone left something in there days ago, dealt with the rudest employee I’ve ever met when we confronted this issue at the front desk, he even threatened to kick us out!! Then the next night we met another couple who stated someone also was in their room!!! Felt very unsafe staying here after this, even tho they comped us one night out of our stay, I would NEVER stay here again or recommend to anyone. Sliding glass doors for the patio don’t lock all the way, and the toilets don’t flush all the way… so many issues. Safety being the biggest concern of them all. Such a shame as it’s such a nice location.

Our stay was great. The water view was beautiful. The staff very nice and helpful. We ate inside hotel food was good. Our server Linda was very helpful and polite. Hotel sit right on the Riverwalk with beautiful view and walkable dining and shops. I would diffently recommend here.

The hotel lobby was very welcoming, clean and very spacious with lots of little nooks to sit and relax or read. Dining room was open and inviting. The staff was friendly and super helpful (shout out to Carlissa for her help). Area was convenient and in walking distance to lots eateries, convention, arena and bay. Room was a bit dated but it was clean and nice. Would stay again in future.

I had a terrible experience with Hotel Tampa Riverwalk. I purchased two nights stay with them. I get to the hotel on Saturday afternoon about 2:00. The man at the front desk tells me that there are no rooms available at the moment (which I do understand check-in isn't technically until 4:00 so that is fine) he says he can hold our luggage and takes our phone number and says he will call us when our room is ready. So we have paid for valet to take our car, and they took our bags. We had a concert to go to so we head off to the concert trusting that our room will definitely be ready by the time we get back from the concert. Well we return later that night after the concert and they tell us that they have no room for us, even though we have already paid for two nights. So here it is almost midnight, and we have no place to stay. We are all the way from Virginia mind you. They were not apologetic; they did not try to help us find another hotel to stay at. They did not offer to reimburse our valet. They had no remorse and didn't try to help in anyway. They were rude and unkind. I was completely shocked. They just kicked me and my fiance' out where no where to go in the middle of the night. Terrible customer service! Absolutely terrible!

First charging $50 to check in before 4pm when rooms are available is ridiculous (it was literally 315) . Never has that happened at any property. Second very noisy from street noise all night long. Third air conditioning set at 65 no way it was less than 75. Maintenance came and said it was reading 57 which there is no way that was true. The final nail in the coffin the smoke alarm starts blaring at 840 am for no reason. Staff doesn’t seem to care about anything with lame response to everything “oh sorry about that”. Def won’t be back

The overall experience was great. The staff was friendly and service was fast. The hotel is located in an amazing spot. We were minutes away from everything. The view of the marina was amazing as well. There were some downfalls. The bathroom in the hotel room wasn't esthetically pleasing at all. They need to be renovated asap. Lastly, there were hidden fees, such as a $25 daily spending fee. Guest are charged this fee if they would like to buy something or not.

We chose this hotel based on proximity to the cruise ship port. The staff was excellent, the room was great but the dinner was not good. My wife chose the hamburger and it was clearly frozen and barely warm. It almost seemed that the wait staff was also handling the cooking. The breakfast was excellent and saved this stay from a lower rating.

The room was on the street side, noise was relentless all night. It sounded like a drag strip, finally stopped at 4am, then started again at 7:30am. The water faucet did not work on the cold side and the hot was set to boil, good luck washing hands. The rooms were super humid everything felt damp. Our company purchased 7 rooms all reported the same sticky/damp feel in the beds and sheets. It is definitely time for a remodel. The breakfast was the same buffet style you would get at a any other hotel for free. But at this place it is $32 per person. For powderd eggs, soggy pancakes, cheap bacon, and tastless sausage links not even close to worth the money, when the same is free everywhere else.

The staff were excellent. Great service. The hotel is in decline. The carpets were filthy, the elevators need maintenance, just signs of general disrepair. The food you get in the restaurant is horrible. This hotel is in a great location and charge as if it is a high end place. For the prices they charge it should be in excellent shape.

The pool was supposed to be the best part but their bar service is horrible and ruins the relaxing poolside drinks that we envisioned. The frozen drink machine was broken on the first day. The actual pool surface is rocky and hurts your feet when stepping into the pool. The view from the pool of the river is fabulous. It helped the review get up to 3 stars. Breakfast is not worth $30. Other surrounding hotels have a much better breakfast for that price. The location is fabulous! Half mile from the convention center, with several bars and restaurants within walking distance. The trolley stop is close so we just used that to get down to the convention center and Sparkman Wharf. We didn't have to take our car from valet the whole weekend. And they do charge for early check-in. I've been fortunate at surrounding hotels in the past who allow early check-in without charging the fee. We come to the Metrocon event every year and this year I tried this hotel for the first time. I will be returning to my previously stayed hotel for sure!

No microwave in the rooms, no coffee in the lobby or in the room. When asked for coffee all they had was decafe. Breakfast was good but the front desk did not explain i needed vouchers for it to be free as we booked the room with breakfast included. For the location of the hotel it was not a 5 star hotel or a 4 I give it a 3 overall.

The property was undergoing renovations, the room we were in was sub par at best, the jet tub was filthy and didn’t work and the main tub/shower was dingy. Check in was annoying because the hotel cancelled my reservation and we had to get that sorted out. I feel as though for the amount of money spent this was not a great experience.

Having booked this hotel months in advance it would have been courteous of the hotel to provide us early notice that they would be renovating the hotel. There would be no restaurant, pool, or even real lobby area. If you don’t want to hear construction noise, please depart the hotel before 9:00 am. They notified us 1 week before our arrival when they had already Ben under renovations for months. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel on principal since they didn’t care if we are inconvenienced in the least.
Having booked this hotel months in advance it would have been courteous of the hotel to provide us early notice that they would be renovating the hotel. There would be no restaurant, pool, or even real lobby area. If you don’t want to hear construction noise, please depart the hotel before 9:00 am. They notified us 1 week before our arrival when they had already Ben under renovations for months. I would not recommend a stay at this hotel on principal since they didn’t care if we are inconvenienced in the least.
