Stayed there last weekend.The big pool is closed due to renovation till November 2025. That was disappointing-no one told us about it. Valley parking is 30 a day,the room did not have a fridge - unless you want to pay more money.Food at the restaurant was great,smaller pool packed.The phone in the room was not working(they are replacing them).First room we got room 333 had a big stain on the carpet, bathroom was broken- we moved to room 352 - few hours later AC stopped working-they fixed it,but it died in the middle of the night again.Beer 8 burger 18.Service nice.Will return when pool is open.Sharon gave us 50 bucks off from the total price.That was nice!Make sure you ask what you get for the room you reserve.In general it was ok.We don’t golf and play tennis though.If you do -nice place to get away from work.

This is our 4th stay at this place. For our family of 7, it’s a great way to go with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. We always bring a few twin air mattresses as well. It also has a great resort pool area and hot tub, pickleball courts, tennis and beautiful trails to walk. It’s a great place!

The staff did their best to accommodate us even though the whole resort was undergoing major renovation, which was not disclosed when I booked stay months ago (was there for 10 days). The main pool, spa, most restaurants were closed when we arrived. We were not informed before to the stay. The air conditioning was not on in the gym. The carpets in the rooms were stained, the rooms were not properly stocked, and the furniture was very worn/stained/dated. Construction was ongoing the entire time we were there. Bed was very comfortable. Not the resort experience we were hoping for. Again, the staff was very accommodating and helpful through it all.

Property is undergoing a major renovation. Lot of construction and pool closed.

After we booked this hotel, we were notified of the renovation. It was too late to change at this point. The hotel room itself was disgustingly dirty. We were moved to another room the next day. It was better but still filthy rotten and dirty. I do have pictures of everything. You have to pay $30 a day for parking because they only have valet the main pool which was the drawer to go. There was under renovation so we couldn’t even use it. They did have a smaller one.. the valet manager would not reimburse us the $30 per night for the valet however, the hotel did reimburse us the resort fee of $28.00 per night since the amenities you could not use

The pool was closed for renovation, for the whole summer. This was our whole intent for booking this location. The room was very dated and the water came out of the faucets brown… very unimpressed and displeased with the lack of advertisement that their main amenity was closed.

Like many others have stated, this property is dated. They are renovating the pool currently and have plans to update the units. It's setup like an apartment complex. The parking is Valet only and you have to have someone with a golf cart take you and your stuff to your room. Extra expenses all around. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and I do think the property has a lot of potential.

Like the pool, staff Gina was helpful, the Spa was closed the whole 2 weeks I was there, the jacuzzi was dirty and no one never cleaned it someone just put a closed sign and left it dirty. This is a golf course so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you just want to get up and go instead of calling someone to drive you to the front in order to get your car. The go cart drivers are very nice and pleasant.

I had believed that the Saddlebrook Resort was quite close to the site of my new job; however, the construction in the area made the daily commute almost 30 minutes. There was much construction going on at the Saddlebrook Resort as well. I was not aware beforehand that the valet parking service was mandatory and cost $30 per day, plus tips when I dropped off and retrieved my vehicle. I was not aware beforehand that the famous swimming pool was closed for renovation.

The “resort” was under construction. It should have NEVER been open to the public. They charged an amenity fee when we didn’t have access to any amenities. The main pool and pool bar was shut down. The fitness center was closed. The patios, windows and grounds are not cleaned daily. The hotel rooms are not cleaned during your stay. the grounds keepers fly by your window at 6:30 am driving back and forth and waking you up everyday.

We found a huge cockroach on the kitchen floor and spiders on the bed. Toilet lid with blood drops

It's was dirty, we had to park a mile and a half away, the brick was loose on the ground I kept tripping, the outlets didn't wish, the sliding door handle was broken and the patio was shared, there was no microwave or fridge, we went to use the microwave and it had dust in it!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN! I've seen better motel 6's!!

Dirty room, old worn out lack of maintenance

No hot water the phone does not work in the room. There is no fridge bedbugs terrible experience.

We checked in and the staff was nice however we entered our room and there was significant water damage, and our bed had bed bugs

The place was not clean. It was moldy, the carpet in the conference rooms were falling apart. I was sneezing and my eyes hurt and watered the entire weekend. Everyone was complaining and some if the parents were glad they didn't stay there. Transportation was inconvenient and during peak hours you wait over an hour for Transportation. No housekeeping while on property. I will never stay there again

It’s was a supper dirty, we found a cockroach, the soap was full of mold, the telephone was not clean and with insects, the coffee machine was dirty, the coffee creamer was expired. The they change is of room, but the telephone was dirty (again), I order some stuff like soaps, towels, coffee suppliers in the new room and they delivered it by leaving a plastic bag with everything in it on the door, and they didn’t even knock on the door to let me know. Also you can find a lot of garbage around the property and outside it tus rooms

Property was ok but not what we expected trash outside our room. Chairs thrown in the water behind our room. Room was loud and not clean.

The picture this resort uses is a big pool. This is false advertising as this pool is under construction. Construction and fencing everywhere. They have the construction workers LIVING at the hotel and standing out shirtless, smoking cigarettes grilling off grills on the balcony. A rat ran out in front of my feet. There was something dirty like feces on the duvet. Totally a nightmare

Rooms and hotel beyond outdated ! Dirty floors & bathrooms. If it was ever updated this would be a great resort bc the location is great

The resort rooms are in serious need of update. The balcony was dirty and unusable, covered in bugs and rusted areas with chipping paint. The seams of the doors were completely see through when it was dark. Everything was very old including the refrigerator, the bathroom fixtures, the decor, all of it. The bed was incredibly comfortable but for a resort that forces you to valet your car and charge the amount they do, I’d expect my room not to look like it last saw 1992. I could’ve stayed in a hotel with free parking for the same price and clean new updates. There should be options. The staff was all wonderful, friendly and helpful. The stay was fine but I won’t come back unless there are updates to the rooms.

The resort was so-so. My family reserved a 2br room with a king in one room and two twins in another. When we arrived, that room type was not available, and we received a room with 1 king and 1 queen so ended up using the sleeper sofa for the third bed. When we arrived at our room (which is a hassle since you can't park anywhere near most of the rooms and golf cart chauffeurs are stretched thin) the AC wasn’t working and there was no hot water in the showers. We had to haul all of our stuff the 10 minute walk back to the front desk to get a new room. The new room had working AC and hot water. It was fairly clean although the bathroom did have some hairballs on the floor that I cleaned up. The rooms are extremely dated. It appears they have not been renovated in about 40 years. After seeing the layout of the resort, I understand why. I’m sure they though it was super cool to build a resort without roads (except golf cart paths) back in the 60s or 70s, but 40 years later the rooms need updating and I have no idea how they would get construction vehicles and supplies where they need to go. I heard they are planning a renovation of the common areas, but nothing about renovating the rooms. Another issue- we had a full kitchen. Everything in the kitchen worked, but the supplies were minimal.

For how prestigious they try to appear to be the rooms don't seem to have any upgrades. The TV doesn't have anything other than live TV. The fixtures specifically in the bathroom look like they haven't been touched since the 1970s the decoration in the room looks the same. I feel like for the amount of money people are paying to be there and for what it looks like on the outside the inside should have significant work done to improve and to be more modern. At least have access with the TV to something other than live TV, like Netflix, etc. I was very disappointed to find out that there is no free parking on the property. While I did go back and see that Expedia disclosed this information it's in the fine print at the very bottom after you've scrolled and read every single detail. It never explicitly says there's no free parking. It only states that valet parking is available at cost. Also, within the last instructions of the fine print, it states that there is a fee to stay at the resort that's not included in the Expedia expense. I'm glad that Expedia included that, I feel like they are not being forthcoming, and I felt somewhat deceived into the idea. I was getting a good price for this hotel. I could've stayed much closer at a cheaper rate. The staff we're all friendly. You cannot walk anywhere as far as shopping goes we're getting food. There is no microwave or refrigerator in the room that I got. It took about 20 minutes to get my car because of the valet.

Stayed for one night to play golf. Course was in decent condition. Rooms were clean but very dated. Same goes for overall facility.

Loved the room size with the dble bdrms and kitchen!

We booked a room to stay in town for a concert. When we showed up at 4:20, (check in time was at 4) stood in line to check in for 20 minutes to be told our room isn't ready. I explained we had somewhere to be and needed to get ready but nobody really cared. We got a room an hour later. No bellman available for a while so we dragged our stuff 10 minutes to our room, rushed to get ready, and missed the first hour of the concert. The next day I was offered our 29$ resort fee back. I called and spoke with the GM and was told I would get a call back, 2 weeks later and have heard nothing. We spent 2000$ on this concert and even worse it really messed up the weekend with my daughter who I don't get to spend a lot of time with. The stress of the whole situation and then to be brushed off and ignored by management. Really poor customer service.

The grounds are very nice, but the buildings are definitely dated. Service varied wildly… The valets were excellent, quick, and very polite. The reception staff, not so much.

We had a great time at Saddlebrook. The staff was extremely friendly. Obviously, the pool bar was the place to be..... Lorena the Bartender is amazing. She remembers customers names and what they drink. The Palmers appreciate you!!

I recently stayed at this resort"hotel, and I have to say it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. It’s clear that the management is more focused on their sports complex than on providing any sort of decent hotel experience. First, let’s talk about the pricing. For what we paid, I expected a much better stay. The room was far from luxurious, and it didn’t even feel clean. They’ve clearly put all their money into the sports facilities, but completely neglected the basic amenities that should come with a stay at a hotel. The price was outrageously high for what you actually get—especially when you consider the poor quality of the rooms. Speaking of which, the room itself was a disaster. There was peeling paint everywhere, which made it feel like it had been neglected for awhile. Then, to top it off, they double-charged me for parking because they assumed I had brought two cars. By the way I was only there with my 12yr old son. Their form of inquisition was accusation then recovery.. It’s clear that the management's priorities are completely out of whack. They’ve sunk money into the sports complex, but seem to have forgotten they’re running a hotel too. If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay this is not it. In fact you'd be better off staying in a motel.

Liked the property, could be better on self parking and the transportation to and from self parking, employee was sleeping while we waiting and we were in a hurry due to a volleyball competition. Telephone in rooms were not connected.

Do not stay here! This property is run by kids. Valet friday and saturday noght when we returned had 50 cars parked every/anywhere. People got so tired of waiting they simply ledt their cars where they were. Phone in room didnt work. Called front desk (from my cell) to get towels. Was told it would be 1030pm as housekeeping is not on site. The golf carts from the check in to our condo was only available once during our 5 days stay. Its really ashame as if properly managed this could be a great property. We will NOT return.

The level of service from most of the team and staff is outstanding... And the grounds, for the most part, are beautiful... However, the valet service and cart transportation system needs to be shut down, revamped completely and opened under a new manager... If you are not familiar with the setup at Saddlebrook, VALET parking is REQUIRED and then you are taken to your respective building and unit via multi-seat golf cart. So, when the valet system is overwhelmed (which happens multiple times a day every single day) you are basically just stuck at the other end of the resort either having to decide to walk across the resort for your lunch or dinner or golf game or spa visit or to retrieve your vehicle for departure from the property for the day... Since valet parking is required.. they probably need to either triple or quadruple the capacity at that bottleneck...

The property was lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. However, valet parking is required and $30 per night. The valet drop off was approximately 1/2 mile from our room and while there was usually a golf cart at the valet station to take us to our room, we were only able to reach the front desk to request a golf cart to pick us up at our room to go to the valet station on one out of three days. The other two days we were on hold with the front desk for over 20 min and no one ever answered, so we had to walk in 90 degree heat & humidity. We were told there was an issue at the front desk.

Great view and beautiful neighborhood

This is a great property if you are staying on site for the duration of your time here. You must either part Valet or park in 'self-park' which is about 2 miles away from the main office. You park in a big lot and wait for a shuttle to bring you back to the main office area, then walk up to the main office and wait again for a golf cart to run you to your room. If you come in late at night, getting the shuttle from the lot was very difficult!! The front desk phone was not always answered when we needed them and our room cards became invalid the morning we were checking out, so we had to have a service guy use the master key to get us back into our room after a morning swim. All in all, we did really like the resort, just the transportation issue could have run a little smoother for those of us that like to go off property every day. Fabulous swimming area!! The pools were huge and well spaced out so it never felt crowded!

It's a completely secluded property. It's like its own little world. Beautiful, safe, fun, and relaxing. Loved it!!!!

Hidden gem! This resort was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed having separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a full sized kitchen and (even though it was too cold this time of year) the pool looked beautiful! I was apprehensive about having no self parking and having to call for a ride each time we needed to leave, but the bell service was prompt!

Very beautiful and unique property and experience! If you wanna not worry about leaving where you’re staying this is a great place to be, the staff are fantastic. If you’re wanting to go out more there is a longer drive to get to downtown Tampa.

Beautiful landscape & pool areas

The place is huge, so when you first arrive its a little overwhelming. The pool, restaurants, Gym and Pro shop are with in walking distance of each other. Very friendly staff.

We had a very nice time at Saddlebrook. We loved feeling like we were right out in nature and enjoyed the amenities. The buildings are a little older and could use some upgrades. The wall paper was peeling a little in our bathroom and the walls are very thin. We could hear people talking and laughing in the room next to us. Even though they weren’t being particularly loud, it was late and sounded like they were right in the room with us. A little fridge would have been really nice for our bottles of water and leftovers too. Overall we really enjoyed our experience, but some upgrades would have put it over the top.

The views and the restaurants are amazing.

Well, whoever the bartender was for prying. Theater night was very horrible, didn't pay attention. I saved her for over an hour and a 1/2, just to have a meal in one beer, just too busy talking to other people and playing on Her phone very disappointing. Needless to say, she really wasn't just good 'cause of her service and I usually get very good. I believe in kicking over service, I own my own bar back home so Very, very disappointed sidesad, everything else, this great care

The water in the shower/tub never got hot. The cost of breakfast seemed high unless one ate a huge amount - i.e. poor value, although paula (the principal server) and amy (in charge of waffles) were welcoming and chatty and excellent. Same comment about the servers at the bar where i ate dinner.

The valet parking should be optional. We were unaware that we had to puchase valet. The breakfast buffet was cold everything tasted old. I was not impressed with the breakfast one bit.

Marvelous resort. Bar near gigantic pool so parents can relax while kids play nearby. Tons of kids activities near pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Quaint little pool cafe also although i didnt get anything from there. Room we reserved was taken so we were upgraded to a suite. The staff was amazing. Breakfast buffet included omelette bar, pastries, fruits, hot options but is an upcharge.

Restaurant and bar was not clean. Flies were infested around bar area. I ordered the filet mignon medium done and it was bloody. Everywhere else around the hotel resort areas seemed clean. I eas disgusted . Will not be attending again.

Clean and quiet the bar and restaurant has excellent vibes
