Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Huge!. What I thought was very odd and very inconvenient was they did not offer valet parking parking was $30 a day regularly and they share the parking lot with the battery for the braves games so they will charge you $30 and you may or may not get a parking space. My husband was unable to find a parking space and had to go home and missed our daughters beauty pageant because he could not find a parking spot. Otherwise the hotel is great but the parking is really bad.

I was charged $35/day for parking. Apparently your reservation no longer includes parking. Also had you two tiny water bottles at check in. I get my receipt and see a charge for $6 for those water bottles. Was not told there were fees for either of those items. I only noticed when I reviewed my bank account. We have stayed here multiple times but will no longer be doing so. Each time, our room has never been ready at 4 and now they want to charge extra to park in their parking lot even if you have a room. Getting too greedy so we will be using a different hotel going forward.

If you're going to a Braves game, it's next to the pedestrian walking bridge, so convenient. Self-parking was $35 per night, quite expensive compared to other hotels in the area, and the price is not listed anywhere before you book. Returning to the hotel after the game, it took 20 minutes to get an elevator because so many guests returned at the same time. It seems their elevators could be better coordinated to accommodate the flow of people wanting to go up. Their indoor pool is not heated. Overall, not a bad experience, but these are things I wished I had known prior to staying there.

upon arrival, we were able to check in early, which was great! Our coffee maker did not work but they had a tech up in no time to replace it, who was kind and courteous. My only complaint was the kids really wanted to go swimming. The pool doors were locked with no information as to why. I had to go look for an employee who seemed to be a food worker, who then saw a man who appeared to be a manager sitting at the table, who was unfriendly and rude. He asked if I had a key to the pool, which of course we did, but spoke to me as if I were not good enough to be there. It was very very off putting and rude! Apparently the pool was under repair. It would have been nice to be advised of that, through a sign or attendant, front desk someone... Most people there are very over the top friendly, except MANAGEMENT or whatever position this man was in. He was sitting up near the top of the stairs by the banquet room speaking with another man. All I know is I paid just as much money as anyone else to be there, and should be treated with the same respect! I do not look like a millionaire, but I do not look homeless either. Even if I was, but was staying there all should be treated equally! Clearly you are not there!

Nice property with easy access to The Battery. Parking is pricey

Clean and comfortable. Friendly service. Very nice indoor pool and spa area. Lots of equipment in the gym.

Parking cost way out of line

Stayed for a concert. The only complaint is the parking situation. Had to exit the parking area twice as they had blocked off aisles so you couldn’t drive down them. In order to get a space you had to go the wrong way down an aisle and back in. There just wasn’t enough parking and there was no valet service.

Our first impressions were not good. Upon arrival I went to check in while my husband sat with the car. There was a minimal line. In the 3-5 minutes it took me to check in my husband was hassled by a security guard that he needed to move our car. We were self parking instead of of valet and he was more worried about the valet service than guests of the hotel. The thing is, you have to check in and receive a scannable code before you can park. I'm not sure if he expected us to park across the road or what but his behavior was uncalled for. The security guard gave us dirty looks the entire duration of our stay. Upon arrival to our room everything seemed ok other than the dirty bathroom floor covered in the previous guest's hair. The hotel was fully booked so changing rooms wasn't an option. We made sure to wear house shoes. The hotel is beautiful and other than the security guard all staff was very helpful and polite. We enjoyed the restaurant and bar inside the hotel and the location. Overall everything was good. Just something to be aware of and management definitely needs to know about how guests are being treated by security.

From the outside and in the lobby the hotel looked amazing. The hotel is huge. We got a room with the ballpark view. It was only about $20 difference from a regular room and my son loved to see the stadium so it was worth it for his happiness. Other than that i would have just chosen a regular room. The room was your standard size and clean and the beds we comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand was not clean. There were hairs all over the bathroom from the floor to the counters to the tub. It was definitely off putting. If we were staying for longer than the 1 night i might have complained to the front desk. Overall a nice hotel within walking distance to the Braves stadium.

Everything was good except one minor thing. The beds slept well. The rooms were nice sized. The bathrooms were ok… ours did show some age, but it was clean and fairly roomy. We were able to check in early and the front desk staff was friendly. The only issue was a blood stain on one of the pillow cases. That just freaks me out. I can understand if maybe the housekeeping staff did not notice, but it was on the front of the pillow and in plain site. Stained bedding should be replaced and no longer used.

Very clean and friendly staff

Overall we had a wonderful stay. My only complaint would be the tiles in the shower were filthy. You could see the dust in it. Also, the water pressure was terrible.

Overall, great visit at the Waverly. The only issue we had was our room was not serviced by house keeping for two days. Hotel was very close to the Braves stadium which was very helpful. Would stay there again.

The property was beautiful, but the one downside had to do with the rooms are a little outdated. They have a bunch of outlets, but they don’t have USB ports to charge phones.

Parking was ok. Room was ok. AC was very loud and rattling and the layout of the hotel made for insane noise levels coming from the bar/lobby area at very late hours.

We had a great stay! While the hotel was busy, we had a quiet room!

The hotel was excellent for its location. We went to a concert one night and a Braves baseball game the next night and could walk to both venues. The hotel is very nice but showing it’s 40+ years of age. The toilets are very low to the ground even lower than a standard residential toilet. The water pressure in the tub/shower is also low which brings down the overall rating. For a two or three night stay, the hotel will work. I recommend it be updated to work for seniors.

The checkin experience was quick and without issue. The employee that checked us in was named Chanel G. and people, let me tell you, her customer service is phenomenal. Because of her kindness, courtesy, and professionalism, my wife and I would highly recommend this property to all who visit the Cumberland area!!!

Made reservation a month ahead. When we got there we were told our room was not ready. Check in was at 4:00 pm. Was told the room we reserved was not available and was moved to a different room on a lower floor. Was not able to get that room until 5:00. Not to mention the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional about the whole thing. Never staying there again. Too many other nice places with courteous and professional staff.

The front desk team was very professional and accommodating. I’ve stayed at many different hotels and this was by far the best stay to date. Will definitely be coming back.

Check in was supposed to be 4pm but we werent able to get a key to our room until almost 6pm because it "wasnt available yet" which then made us late to our 7pm event. Bathroom door wouldnt latch shut and the tub was draining extremely slow. very disappointing.

Great location...we walked from the hotel to/from Truist Stadium. My only concern was we arrived a little after 4PM (posted check in time) but had to wait almost an hour for our room, this was unacceptable.

The staff make the hotel nice. They were all so helpful and patient with us. It's a beautiful place, but the people make your stay unforgettable.

First off Hotel was nice and spacious. Rooms were big and bed was very comfortable. Location is reasonably close to the Battery, Truist park and the Mall. That being said...the service was not what it should be for the price you pay. Issues started from check in. We reserved 3 rooms for our 3 night stay. Two rooms were supposed to be adjoining. Request was sent to the hotel at time if booking and confirmation of request was confirmed by the hotel the week before check in. At check in I was told by Madison that they have adjoining rooms but " it doesnt work that way" Never got an explaination of what that meant. Was told we "pretty much" have rooms on the same floor and "pretty much" are next to each other and rooms will " pretty much" be ready by 4pm. We checked back at the desk at 4pm and we told by Oosha that rooms were not ready and it would be at least an hour or more. Oosha again stated there were not adjoining rooms available. The manager over heard the conversation and came over. He looked at the computer, clicked a few keys and voila there were 2 adjoining rooms and a third room right next to them AND they were available right now. Oosha just stumbled all over herself trying to justify telling me there were not adjoining rooms and trying to make us wait another hour or more. Kudos to this manager. However, we discovered in one room the phone did not work because we tried to call down for more blankets because the room was freezing and the thermostat wasn\'t working. So

The Front Desk Check in staff was amazing. They were really busy with the Chris Brown concert along with other events in the area and they were handling people checking in like Season Pros. Thank you for having complimentary water at check in and surely after the walk from the Concert at Trust. I’ll be back!! *Side note: Bathrooms needed more attention. Maybe it was from the Saturday night rush.. but we notice things quickly. I was able to grab a few more towels from housekeeping, and that’s always a plus.

Our check in experience was an absolute nightmare. Email confirmation said we could not check in until 4pm. We arrived at 3:30pm to a line that you could not even see the end of. It took almost 2 hours to check in and we did not get into our room until after 5pm. Making us late for a concert we paid a lot of money for. We missed an entire opening act that was one of the main reasons for attending. There was nothing offered to make it better. Checking in earlier wouldn't help, because others in line tried that, were told their room wasn't ready, and told to get back in line. The same was happening with those offered mobile check in. Parking was also a disaster. We were told to just drive from parking lot to parking lot until we found a spot. It would have been easier to have the people standing around outside closing parking lots as they were full. A complete disaster and I am not one leave bad reviews.

We had a memorable experience for our first trip to watch the Braves play . The location was very convenient to the baseball park. The hotel and the surrounding area was safe, well lit, and comfortable. Our overall experience was a 10 out of 10.

Nice hotel, stayed there for the Braves game on July 4th. Lots of people checking in at once, desk staff moved people through fast and were very helpful.Was in walking distance to Truist Park and safe area to walk in.

This hotel is very convenient to Truist Park where the Atlanta Braves play & an entertainment district called The Battery. Many dining options there! We attended a concert at Truist and really liked the convenience. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to close by places if you don’t want to walk. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Stayed here to attend an Atlanta Braves game. Very walkable to the stadium. Nice facility.

Great location and facilities. Easy access to Cobb Convention Center indoors and to Cumberland Mall with a quick walk. Would stay again.

The bar has best old fashions

Room and Front desk were fine, breakfast staff was not good, no potatoes and when I asked the girl she just said I dunno and left. We waited 30 minutes and never got potatoes. Breakfast was just barely edible.

Hotel was super clean, beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast buffet a little pricey.

Property is a bit dated. Club floor offerings were modest. Room was clean and service was excellent.

This propert changed from past stays. Rooms lack lots of items used to be available like toiletries, full room service not saved in plastic to go containers and have to eat a steak using a plastic knife snd fork. Covid time is over snd they still serve like it’s still exist. Other hotels offer much more for same or less cost. Not sure if I would stay there again.

I was disappointed that the Restaurant options at the hotel were so limited.

The restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch offers limited options that are too expensive for the quality of food. This will deter me from using this hotel again, even though service, cleanliness, and location were fantastic.
