Extended Stay America Suites - Atlanta - Northlake

I pre-paid for a suite with two beds (for two adults and an adult sized teenager) for a two night stay. When I checked in, I was told that wasn't available. They gave me a room with a single bed for the first night but were able to find me a suite with two beds for the second night. I was not offered any sort of refund or compensation. The staff were very friendly and polite, but the property is being remodeled. The flooring in the common areas has been pulled up. The adhesive is filthy and sticks your shoes making it impossible not track into the rooms. The rooms, other than the floors, are clean but not what I would expect for the chain or the price.

Great location for a small family holiday get together. The staff here was wonderful. The only problem the ice maker for the hotel did not work so we had to buy ice from time to time a little less than desirable activity in the parking lot or outside areas.

My stay at your location was not very good at all. the ice machine was not working, the breakfast was horrible and the service was very little help at all.

The property was rundown. The entrance door to the stairwell was broken. Carpet and hallway was filthy. There was a molded smell in the hallways and stairwell. kids running around making noise noises all hours of the night. There were cockroaches running around the bathroom and kitchen area. I do not recommend..

I need to request a full refund. Police were on property dealing with a situation upon arrival. There was no power from midnight to 7:30 am and property staff did nothing to alarm, to inform, to update customers. Needless to say, I was panicked, felt unsafe, since landline was not working. It was a terrible stay and seeking a refund or disputing my credit card claim is my best option.

This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. Here are my reasons "not" to stay here: - There's a sign that says the entrance door is locked for your protection. It's not. Anyone can walk right in. -You have to wait forever for the elevator to come up. Save the time and just take the stairs. -The bedsheets were stained and not clean. -During my three-day stay, our room wasn't cleaned even once. -The exhaust fan in the bathroom rattled during operation. -The walls are paper thin. I heard everything being spoken in the room next door including their television. -The heater/air cond kept switching from air conditioning to heating and back again. -And finally, the parking lot lacks sufficient lighting to make their guests feel safe. I don't think I will stay here ever again!

No USB ports in room at all. Some AC electrical plugs not working. Plastic battery panel on TV remote missing so AA batteries fall out. Got a note on the door second day of stay stating I would have to switch rooms due to remodeling they suddenly decided to do. Then turns out I didn’t have to move at all.

Let's not kid ourselves: this is not a luxury hotel, it's a relatively cheap place to stay and I chose it specifically because it had a kitchen and I was in town working for a few days. Arrived to find no appliances or utilities at all in the kitchen but learned that you need to ask for them in reception. Staff was more than helpful with any requests. The place is a bit run down to some degree, bed was very basic, other aspects too, and you will likely feel a whiff of weed now and then, but I slept well and put the kitchen to good use. It's cheap, it's not perfect, but staff truly make up for it. I got the feeling that some guests live there on a semi-permanent basis, even got some basic advise from neighbors. Mostly black people. If you've got a problem with that...what the hell are you doing in Atlanta? ;)

As far as price location it is good. What’s was lacking was the amenities only one set of towels, there were no hangers or bathroom amenities. And the ice machine was out of order, however The staff was nice. And there was light breakfast and coffee items.

This place is absolutely dirty. The matress cover had blood stains on it. The chair they have for the desk had bodily fluids still on it. It stunk. Weed smell on the hall ways. Bathrolm was dirty too. I would absolutely recomend for anyone to pay more for a better stay else where. Will never stay here again.

The hotel has roaches, I paid for a few days to stay had to change the room I was in the next day. The new room I was changed to have more roaches in the last. The first time I was in tub was stopped up. And I never got a refund from leaving. I definitely would not recommend anyone to stay unless they don’t mind roaches.

Checked out after our first day. Room was dirty, curtain ripped, hallway and rooms smelled bad. We found food in our fridge, I told the front desk and got a garbage bag and placed the food in it and put it outside our room. When management came the next day they told me I have no proof of the food being in the Fridge. I use to love staying at this property but it went straight down hill.

I honestly don't know where to start. The front desk clerk was very friendly and understanding when I forgot my I.D. and gave me time to retrace my steps to retrieve it. Unfortunately that's as positive as it gets. From roaches to bloodstaines. The constant smell of other people cooking. Barking dogs. If you have to find an inexpensive lodging then I guess but I'm not going back.

The staff at the front desk were nice however, the room had a strange odor and there were roaches coming from the a/c unit.

My stay was good. Room was pretty decent. The only thing i didn't like was the roaches in the rooms especially with a small baby running around trying to stomp them. Made my stay feel a little unsanitary.

This hotel room was, bar-none, the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. I have lived in a ESA for work before, so I trusted the name, but never again. I have traveled much of the world, and all of the states, and this was by far the worst. The room was in absolute disrepair, it was dirty, and on top of that, it had cockroaches. From broken glass outside the front door, to a rancid smell throughout the hotel. If I had the choice to get my money back before staying, I surely would have, but I was late, and I was traveling, and just didn\'t have the time or energy. I of course have pictures of everything, and video of my feet sticking to the floor. The cherry on top was the little note with the snacks with my name on it that let me know they came in after my reservation, looked at the room, and said "good enough". Never again. I\'m going to do everything I can to recoup some of what I spent staying in this hole.

Worn out but clean.

The stay was great. The only exception was the faulty smoke alarm that kept beeping routinely. I had to consistently reset daily.

I like that they had kitchens! But the walls were paper thin so when you’d walk down the hall you could hear people talking in their rooms.

Room was great. Check in was a breeze. Rasheedah was very attentive and a pleasure to deal with. Nice when a friendly face greets you!

Extended Stay will NEVER have me as a customer again. After a long flight (10 am - 11 pm) I was greeted by a hostile and inconsiderate host. I get to the hotel at 12:30 am and was told that my reservation could not be found. I booked through a 3rd party and unfortunately I didn't get the link for travelers insurance, so I was charged for the entire trip. Upon further inquiry it seems that if you don't check in by 11pm you're considered a no show. The standard for most hotels is 3 am.

The EXTREMELY RUDE and unprofessional assistant manager of this motel canceled my reservation without telling me and without reason. I traveled two hundred miles only to find this HORRIBLE MOTEL refuses to honor EXPEDIA’S CONFIRMATIONS. The hotels smells like an open sewer too and is FILTHY. Expedia should REFUSE to advertise this property and anyone who tries to stay in this DUMP is crazy.

I drove 5hrs to find out my reservation was canceled. I asked why was it canceled the front desk clerk stated they had no rooms. I asked why. She said they had a fire 2-3 days and the sprinkler system ruined rooms. Although I was in town for leisure I had to find another area to stay at last minute. Had they emailed or called to notify my cancellation of the room it would’ve been so bad. Poor communication

I reserved 3 two-room suites for 5 adults and 2 children. I was in town for my stepson's graduation. When I got there they said that they had overbooked the rooms and some guests decided to extend their stay so only one of my rooms was ready when check-in was supposed to be at 3pm. We didn't get checked into two of the rooms until an hour later and the last one I didn't get in to until later on that evening. They also could only provide two double-room suites and said they only had a single room for the last one. The two double-room suites had a very foul, moldy odor to them and the floors felt wet. This was an Extended Stay hotel but there were no dishes or utensils at all. The hallways of the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in forever, the first floor at the elevator had a foul odor, the elevator(and most of the hotel) smelled like weed. I was traveling with my children, mother-in-law, and her brother, who are pastors. I regretted renting this hotel and exposing them to this. The beds were uncomfortable and there was only thin, flat sheets for covers. The only saving grace was that the heat and cool worked on the air conditioner. For breakfast they only had cold coffee, Nutrigrain bars, and oatmeal packets. The decor inside and outside the rooms was old and worn. I could go on and on about how unsatisfied I was but I'll just end by saying I will NEVER stay here again and I regret not reading the reviews because I'm not the only one experiencing this.

The staff is the best team I’ve ever seen

Wish I’d read the online reviews before booking. So many others had them cancel reservation as happened with us. On day of our check-in, after having reservation for some time, hotel calls saying they are overbooked and they’re transferring us to sister hotel in another area. Thankfully we talked them into letting us stay. But, on checking in, our room smelled incredibly of fish (major mold outbreak?). We had to have window open to sleep, but folks were smoking pot in quad below our window. Many guests were there longer term and had definite struggles. My heart goes out to them. Refugee families, folks kicked out of apartments. But, major argument between a couple at 6:30 am was not pleasant. Wishing I had paid a little more to stay at Hampton down street or Tru next door. Would not recommend unless you really have to.

This is extended stay so with our time it’s full with full residential. Guest were polite, staff was helpful it was clean enough for an emergency stay over. I had a 4 th room and everything worked. I rested and was satisfied

Front desk personnel was helpful and friendly. It is a good location near stores, restaurants and main freeways.

It’s a real good place to get some good quiet time

The hotel is bad, bad condition of the rooms, but the worst is the unsafe place and guests. People living there and smoking pot early in the morning and late at night. I leave earlier and asked the refund because I witnessed a fight in front of the hotel outside of the front door, while people around in their cars smoking and laughing and recording instead of calling the cops. I travel all around the globe and this was the worst experience ever.

Roches all over the cabinets. (Desk clerk said management was aware but was doing nothing about it.) Advertised hot breakfast, not available. Breakfast bar had no fruits, coffee and, nor creamer for coffee. Desk person looked but couldn't find any. He also did not understand the rules for depositing trash or dirty linens nor did the person who arrived later..( Lack of training )
