Comfort Inn & Suites Ballpark Area

POOL WAS CLOSED NO NOTICE POSTED. GOOD FOR A NIGHT

Location was perfect for baseball stadium. The pool is tiny.. bathroom shower faucet in our room leaked. Breakfast was decent, if you got there early.

First room we received the A/C unit was messed up. Then we moved to another room and the TV didn’t work, although we didn’t need it for this trip it was still out, then upon looking there were multiple stains on the side of the bed and the hairdryer didn’t work as well. The pool was very small and the temp was super cold.

Check in was fast and wonderful, breakfast was always hot and fresh with variety the pool was clean but cold but we didn't mind! We will most definitely stay again as we come to Atlanta alot!!!

Everything was nice but there was a smell in the hallways and the water in the pool was salty

I was very disappointed in my stay. We booked the hotel because it had a pool for the kids to swim at in between baseball games. They closed the pool on Sunday for maintenance and cleaning and said it would not be back open until Tuesday. This was very poor planning on a holiday weekend and we did not get to use the pool like we paid for.

Good value for the money. Pool was open Saturday but closed on Sunday for some reason.

The gym equipment was broken. The sanitizer was empty. The curtains in the room were not made to be closed, there was only a sheer sheet that was see-through. There was another hotel right beside this one where people could see inside my room, especially at night when my light was on. There was a street light right outside my room window that made it nearly impossible to sleep.

The air-conditioning in the rooms really works! So if you like sleeping in an igloo, this place has got you! They also have free breakfast and an indoor pool!

The rooms are terrible! Cockroaches, mold, dirt, staff was rude, carpet was torn, a thin microfiber blanket on the bed and it didn’t fit the bed. TVs didn’t work, the screens were broken.Ceiling tiles had mold and management tried to paint over the mold, very unsuccessful. What is being advertised is not what you get. This place needs a makeover and some serious customer service training.

Staff was nice which is the only reason I’m not giving it 1 star. We prepaid for the room but was still required to put an additional deposit on a credit card, that can take 5 days to release . The hallways smelled terrible, you can tell they allow pets. The room didn’t smell until the a/c unit was turned on. The room appeared clean until we saw it the next morning in the full light of day. Absolutely disgusting. Mystery stain everywhere.

I had roaches in my room and i wasnt about to switch rooms at all, because if that room had it the other probably did too! Im good on that, i would like my refund from being there for only 2 hrs

Very dirty hotel that smells horribly. Curtains were ripped and unable to close by being cut in half with scissors. Sheets had blood stains on them so we had to request them to be changed. Room had not been cleaned prior to us getting there as there was trash and hair on the carpet that should have been cleaned by a vacuum if it would have been used.

The staff was friendly but the room was not like what was pictured at all. When you first walked into the room the carpet in front of the bathroom had been cut up and placed back down and was fraying a lot. The dresser under the tv was missing a giant chunk of fake veneer-plastic on a lower drawer. One of the curtains was torn half off the wall-likely from someone not knowing the blackout curtains were behind the sheer ones. The popcorn ceiling was peeling in one spot, a pretty big crack. The bathroom had several stains and standing water was in the bathtub, the edges of the tub needed cleaning attention. When doing the normal “check for bugs” we found candy wrappers behind the bed and the pillows had visible stains on them-blood? The whole hotel smelled like moth balls or super cleaner, something. It was very strong and not really pleasant. I am very surprised others gave this a 10/10, I’d love to know what room they stayed in because it was not this room. I was overall very surprised by the poor conditions of this hotel and the lack of upkeep as all these things wouldn’t have “just happened” also it needs to be said I noticed as we were leaving that the elevator was last inspected November 2023. We were traveling as a family with two young children and chose not to stay and booked another hotel nearby that met our expectations as it wasn’t deceptive in pictures and descriptions.

This place is horrible-my husband and i should’ve left the property the first day! The sheets in the beds were stained/ dirty- the carpet had stains everywhere and the walls chipped with paint in the whole room and bathroom and entrance door - the whole shelf I’m the closet was hanging to the floor so we called to get another room because we like to hang our clothes- get to the new room and decided iron the ironing board was holding together with a close hanger- irritated we called for another ironing board the front desk gave us some push back on getting a new ironing board and not to mention getting new sheets for the dirty ones- while I was at the front desk with my concerns there was also another guest there with issues and he was very upset because they would not give him clean sheets not switch his room because he had a picture of what looked like a condom under his pillow…ugh! Each day it seemed like it was upset guest back & forth to the front desk- on check out day while having breakfast a supervisor yelled into the meal room “everyone meal is over take your plates to your room” and before her announcement the team members started to turn off the tvs in the meal room- turn off the juice coolers/lights as there were guest actually in progress with a cup in hand to get juice! It was unbelievable in there this morning… and of course it was now 3 angry guest looking for management to complain. This is not Choice Brand or standards- something needs to be done!

Inside the room their was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The shower curtain would not close so you could not take a shower without soaking the floor. The nightstand had some grease like substance on it which means it was not cleaned after the last guest. A/C unit was filthy and the plugs on the lights and alarm clock did not work. If this was my vacation stop I would have found another place to stay.

Had to be moved 3times each room dirty and below standard worst hotel room ever

A roach crawled across the desk while I was working. After killing the roach, it was still there the next day after the room was refreshed. The room itself was pretty shabby all around

This was probably the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, we had to request a new room because the first room had a very musty wet smell, the ceiling was peeling over the shower, the bedding was dirty, and the shampoo bottles were half empty. We will never stay at thos hotel again, do yourself a favor and ask to inspect the room prior to staying.

The rooms were a little dated and could use an update. The A/C went out during the night. But, the bed was comfy, the water was hot and we were a walking distance from the Truist Stadium. So all in all it was ok.

Everything was great except for the A/C in both of our rooms. It just didn’t get all that cool in one room and in the other it kept making a knocking sound

AC not working. Fan ran all night and never got below 74. Hard to sleep because it was too hot.

Walking distance to Truist Park. Cheaper rates than majority of area. Just okay with conditions, could have been better. Room door didn't feel secure, wiggles at least an inch, even when locked. Sketchy people in parking lot at night, but nothing out of ordinary for that area.

Rooom had a portable ac unit very loud in the room, room was outdated and poorly maintained. The breakfast was good but most of the tables were unusable

Walked in to a freezing cold room. No luggage rack. Used the rickety ironing board. The window was moldy and the screen was ripped. Couldn't open it anyway. There was a back door that didn't lock, we finally discovered a small clip that locked it,but we couldn't unlock that once it was done. Huge stain on carpet. Toilet seat was misshapen and crooked. Refrigerator seal was loose, door wouldn't shut. Husband fixed it. How this place got an 8.4 ranking is a mystery! Bed was comfortable!

Room too humid.

We were on the botton floor with a second door to the outside of your room that was locked and blocked by a chair. The carpet was stained and coming up at the doorways. The bathroom door was hard to open and shut. Stayed at this hotel before and this was the first room with these problems.

Great customer service. Hotel is old with mediocre renovations, and out dated furniture/appliances.

The location is good, bunch of fast food joints near by. The rooms are spacious, but some of the things in the room don't work properly. (The bedroom light didn't light up when the switch was flipped and the inside lock to the door didn't work properly as well, although those little quirks didn't ruin our two night stay)

Front counter employee was sweet.

The front desk staff was lovely. Delicious cookie on arrival. Property was in need of some serious upgrades. For the price we paid and our needs it did the trick.

This was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Ihad guest services come into my room with their own key without knocking or ANYTHING while in shower

The room was very clean. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was good room was good, check out day came and my Boyfriend and son gave the key back while i stayed in the room to use the restroom. The clerk walked in the room didnt announce himself and walked in on me on the toliet!! It was very discomforting. It was only 1030 so no need to barge in unannounced.

The person checking my husband & myself in at the front desk was very rude. I asked him a question & he told me he was on the phone. Well, his call was a personal call and he was speaking in another language. When my husband walked up & asked the same question, he was very polite & answered him.

Great stay, great people. Check in went awesome. Loved the room. It made the stay so much better.

From the moment of arrival the service was not welcoming i was caught of guard by the 100 dollar deposit the day we checked in we were told the pool was closed but later in the evening saw other guest in the pool another concierge advised the pool was open until 10pm so the kids got a chance to go there was no towels in the pool area so they used the ones in the room i asked for towels that morning and was told my the manager that i would have to wait until housekeeping came they arrive between 9am and 12pm I informed them that i have to be somewhere at 10 when the manager arrived to the room to give towels she asked my daughter why was the towels by the door was it because we were smoking in the room i was disgusted because why was you asking a child if smoking was going on in the room i told her i out all the dirty towels by the door so that we can get clean towels we had to exchange the old for new ones i ended up being late to where i was going and had to pay extra for parking we checked in on a Friday most hotels change the linen after 2 days but i was told they would not change the linen that they would give me the clean linen and i could change my own bedding i was then told not to go to the front desk for anything they was told not to give us towels or anything i had never been treated like this in all my years of traveling there was so much more that occurred but I'm running out of characters i bought my family to tour colleges something joyous became a nightmare

They would not allow my family to stay because there was an extra TWO YEAR OLD TODDLER that I didn't account for. The kids are small and could have fit in the QUEEN size bed. The manager said he'd refund my account WHEN EXPEDIA contacted them back. Once Expedia got the correct number, the night person told 2 different Expedia gentleman that she was busy checking people in and to call back in 20 minutes. I called back on the third time and she told me that she couldn't refund me because she had already done her audit for the night and to call the next day. So, once again Expedia called and could not get through. I'd gladly take this off if I could get my refund back like I was promised!

Close enough to the ballpark to walk. Getting into the property from the main road can be tricky depending on the time of the day. A little bit of character activity in the surrounding areas.

I was in town for a couple MLB games and wanted a hotel within walking distance! This location was perfect. Never once felt unsafe at night. Close to shopping, food, etc! Room was clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed to watch Braves baseball. Very nice accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, comfy room and beds. Very safe area, well lit and lots of restaurants and shopping near by. Close to the Battery neighbourhood and the ball diamond. Lots of parking. Only issue was we were a bit confused about how to get hot water in shower. I phoned the front desk and they explained how to get hot water. Suggestion might be to have a note in bathroom explaining how taps work. Other than that very satisfied.

Great price for a 3 night stay. Close to Truist park

Check in was quick. The room was terrible, the chair was broken. You have to eat and work from your bed. The bathtub was dirty. The breakfast only serves pork products, no cereal. The location was great.

Room was clean but I booked an assemble room but there were no grab bars in the shower. Nor were there any bars around the toilet. At breakfast there was no butter and the juice machine wasn't working.

Room and bathroom were very clean. Hotel is dated. The breakfast was minimal. The juice machine was colored water for the most part. The coffee was decent. Overall, it worked for us and I would stay there again but bring my own breakfast.

had a great stay at the Comfort Inn in Smyrna, GA! From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff was warm, professional, and made me feel right at home. My room was clean, spacious, and the bed was super comfortable — exactly what I needed after a long day of travel. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options, and everything was fresh and well-stocked. I also appreciated how quiet and peaceful the hotel was during my stay. It felt safe, well-maintained, and conveniently located near restaurants and stores. I’d definitely recommend this Comfort Inn to anyone visiting the Smyrna area. Great value, friendly service, and a comfortable place to rest!
