Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Northlake

The tv didn’t work in the room nor the phone worked in the room. I used my personal to call down to the front desk and got no answer. The elevator didn’t work either

I stayed one night this past Wednesday as i was in town for a graduation and Memorial Weekend. The pool was closed for renovations (worst timing possible) and they did not post this information on their website. The room stunk like mildew and there was one ice machine for the entire building. No washcloths provided and the patio doors were bolted shut. Dont waste your money!!!

Parking was well lite. Staff was attentive and courteous at check in. No extra bedding for pull out sofa sleeper. Had to remove some linen from king bed to accommodate the pull out.

Pool was closed and that was the main reason why we wanted to stay at the property

Check in was pleasant but I was disappointed that the pool wasn't open....the hotel didn't have an elevator and the restaurant was closed down due to not being able to get a staff to operate the restaurant.

The elevator doesn’t work. When I checked in they told me the power would be out between 2am and 5am. I felt like they should have posted on the website that they're elevator was broken because I'm handicapped. I had to walk upstairs with my luggage and then they put me in a room not close to the stairs. I'll never stay at this location again.

The property is under renovation. At this time there is no elevator. There is a 2nd floor. Be mindful of that. Nice pool. Very convenient to Atlanta-Midtown.

With the construction near the entrance it was difficult to navigate in and around the hotel. It appeared that there was only one entrance/exit which seems strange for a property that size.

Awful - nowhere on the website did it state the hotel was under construction. So all the reasons I booked it was not there. No gym, no breakfast, no bistro for a drink in the evening. Fans running all night. Rooms not cleaned or checked to booking in. Only 3 towels in a king room - no toiletries only 4 Bottle of shampoo. Tv glowed all night - phone flashed red light constantly. Sink didn’t drain. No elevator!!

only one soap for sink and shower; got more at front desk - next day, housekeeping removed all but one! Carpet was filthy, leaving tracks when I showered (each night). One lamp socket was empty -a safety hazard! Should be 12 shower door clips - one missing.

Hotel was in terrible condition. Dirty towels on the balcony when I arrived along with a broken desk chair. The carpet was filthy and overall cleanliness was a 3/10!

The property smelled good as soon as we walked into the building and into the room . Everything was really clean .

Room has dusty smell and not easy to stay without sneezing and couphing; after sanitation request on the third day, there was no relenished soap and shampoo and the towel provided was dirty with stains; the shower was not cleaned properly and has the remains of whoever used previously so i have to clean it myself after buying sanitation material from nearby Aldi. There was noice early in the morning from workers who seem to renovate the Hotel, so i was not able to rest all mornings during my stay. Geneerally, not a good experance at all and never encountered such thing for the price I pay.

The room was spacious but not very clean. The mini fridge was so tiny it wasn't worth having in the room at all.

From the moment I stepped in and spoke to the receptionist I questioned my hotel choice. The woman was unpleasant and was not helpful. After our interaction I was stunned that this was at a Marriot property since all of my stays I would consider top shelf. I figured she wasn’t a great rep of the company and know it happens to the best of companies. Then I got to my room and realized it wasn’t just her that was the problem. It’s apparent it is the entire staff at that location. The room was disgusting. From the second I walked in I could smell the overwhelming aroma of cigarette smoke mixed with air freshener. I went back to the lobby and told her I requested a non smoking room and she was adamant it was and couldn’t move me as they were booked. I went back and even found cigarette burn marks on the furniture and Ashes on the nightstand. The AC didn’t help as the room wouldn’t cool below 75 degrees. And I wish I could have hoped In the shower but the tub didn’t have a shower curtain, just the curtain rod. There is so many more issues I can talk about but at this point I’m going to just post the photos in a google review. I brought all this up at check out the next day and was told “oh sorry about that”. That was after I heard the person checking out in front of me laying into the rep for mostly all the same reasons.

When I reach to my room there wasn’t any complimentary water. I was told two different things. One worker said they ran out the other said company they stop giving water. The worst part no hand soap I had to asked for it. There was a used lotion in a tiny bottle from the previous guest . On the bathroom counter .

The hotel is currently going through renovations….however, this is 2 days from 2024!!! I was extremely disappointed that this hotel didn’t have microwaves in ANY rooms, had to walk down to front desk to use a microwave , also, there was a mini cube fridge in the room. If traveling 4 or more days, not acceptable, could barely put anything in it!!! Carpet in room and hallway needed cleaning. No elevator!!! As it stands right now, I won’t return until I know what the updates are. Friendly staff though!!! Accommodating!!

The stay was ok. Phone didnt work so had to use my personal phone or walk to downstairs to get customer service. They working on the hotel so you have to prepared to walk if you have to park in the back because the entrances are blocked.

I went to the Marriott Northlake because the location was perfect as being close to Mercer University. Despite other hotels being around, I picked the Marriott because it's supposed to be better than the others that were around. Well, I was wrong. The a/c in the room wasn't working to the point me being drenched in sweat woke me up every night. The internet went out on the 2nd night and getting connected was impossible. There were a few guests in the lobby with the same complaint. Pros: there was plenty of parking and the have access doors around the building so it doesn't matter where you park you don't have to necessarily go through the lobby. There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.

No phone in room

I’m not sure how long this place has been a Courtyard by Marriott, but clearly not very long. It’s being updated, my room was 90% finished but there were a few items that were obviously not. My daughter’s room on the 2nd floor was, in her words, a trip back to the 90s. The rate was very good for a Courtyard but there were several places nearby with a similar rate and equally nice brands. They also had a couple of charges automatically applied that were definitely not in the manner of a Courtyard

Can’t believe this hotel bears the Marriott name. They state on Hotels.Com that they have a restaurant and lounge. They have neither. Also has no elevator. My shower drain was clogged and sink drain stopper was broken. Also no microwave in room and fridge froze everything and could not be adjusted. Travel four days a week for work and this was a terrible experience.

Both Air conditioning and fridge were broken for 4 days. Also little things like no ice bucket available and no cups for in-room coffee machine. Requests to front desk for repairs were ignored. GM got involved - was very nice and fixed both a/c and fridge for us, comp'd us 2 nights. But broken a/c in Georgia in July was a lot. I won't be back.

Concrete ceilings and floors. Excellent sound proofing, no foot stomping or voices while sleeping!!

Hotel cancel without call us. Front desk didn’t want to work out and do anything better, just said. Sold out and wait for mgr come in mornings to do refund. I hope it can be better next time and get my $ back asap , it was crue my family trip now we have to look temp hotel next door to keep my family safe. It was disappointing. I was dissatisfied with the overall customer service level and lack of understanding/eagerness to assist from the reps at the counter. My sister and I checked in with a 5-month-old baby with several bags. At check in, I was informed that the elevator was not in service and we would have to use the stair ( this initially was ok as the rep and another staff member assisted us in carrying our items to our room). I asked the staff where the ice machine was located and their limited knowledge of where the machines were on the property prevented them from informing me of the nearest one to my room. I asked about the ice machine without having a bucket with me. The staff said that if I had my bucket they would take me to one on the first floor ( sooooooo, why couldn't they give me a bucket to use). I let that go. I went out the next morning and returned later that evening (about 8:30 pm). I noticed trash still in my room,bed unmade, and dirty linen (towels and washcloths). I called to inquire of housekeeping and how to get towels. The agent that answered the line was VERY rude and short with me. They responded that housekeeping is every other day, and if I want towels, I would have to come and get them. I then asked.. what should I do with the trash (previous day food containers, dirt diapers, and other general trash). The agent responded, "you can walk it outside if you want"..SMH SMH. I am easy-going and not difficult so a little more understanding would have done it.

Great Location! Easy access to highway, shopping and restaurants! Staff very helpful and property is clean and safe.

Okay, well my stay initially didn't start out correctly due to ongoing renovations at the property...yet, the amazing staff at Courtyard by Marriott made the trip a pleasurable experience at the end. Rooms are spacious and the Starbucks in lobby was the winner!!! The pool was great and the location is conveniently perfect for easy access to shopping, restaurants and interstate travel. Will definitely stay again soon.

Very nice. Not too far from the city.

Staff was great, room was clean. Area surrounding isn’t the greatest, but a few good hidden gem restaurants.

Property was very clean even though they were remodeling parking was kinda a loop but ok. They did charge me a $300 security deposit by mistake that should have only been 40.00 and I have to wait 5-7 business days to get the hold off and it was their error so please check you account. Other than that I would definately stay again

I checked in online because I knew that I was going to arrive for the first night at a very late hour. When I got to the property at 2:00 AM to get the keys, I had to wait and check-in all over again. A room had NOT been assigned to me yet. When I got to the room, the bathroom sink had a filthy dirty towel on the sink and an empty toilet paper roll on the ground. I went back to the reception desk to change rooms. The 2nd room had issues also. The bathroom floor was dirty and one of the double beds had crumbs within the sheets. It was so late, that I decided to stay in that second room. My roommate cleaned the bathroom floor herself. The Starbucks had very limited hours. The staff were not horrible, but not that friendly either.

Did not know the restaurant bar and pool were all not usable. I had to ask for my room to be cleaned. After I was on day 4 since no one was coming. Staff is very friendly

I personally would never go back. I feel robbed. Like my money was wasted. I’m shocked that this is a Marriott to be honest. They are updating the outside of the building, that’s great but they need to focus on the comfort first. What a joke. Unit 117 Holes in the upholstery. Broken door handles including the back sliding door. The AC/Heat in the Bedroom didn’t work. TV had a crack or line running down the middle. I tried telling an employee about the AC and they didn’t speak English. I could barely close the bathroom door it’s so small. It was the worst stay of any place in my entire life and has me thinking twice about the Marriott name. The list goes on and on. We couldn’t sleep one night due to an employees truck muffler blaring into our back door. Breakfast in the morning. Also a joke. I was ignored. Pretty sure I know why. I’m sorry if this seems harsh, but it’s just facts. I’m not one to leave such a review. I’m really not. I have never felt so negative about a place. I should not have to pay for such a horrible experience. Never again. Lesson learned. Great location. That’s all they got going for them.

There was no complimentary breakfast. The TV sound never worked. No engineer was sent to my room to repair the TV after I reported it. Not enough towels for tve stay.

When I arrived at the hotel I did see they have renovations going on but they still could have kept the other rooms that haven't been renovated clean. The shower had hair in it, the doors were dirty the carpets had bad stains. I woke up 630 a.m. to have breakfast. I knew you had to pay for breakfast so I made sure my breakfast was included. I talked to the people at the desk and they said it wasn't. And were rude about it. Also the restaurant part wasn't open. They weren't sure when the person was coming. They said they will call the room and they didn't. I try to cancel the hotel but I couldn't. The next day I went to front desk to show them my email said it was included they gave a 10 dollar voucher for the rest of my stay and told me breakfast end at 10. While they were helping me they were on their phone having a personal conversation wearing the ear piece. The breakfast is really good. But the last day of our stay we got to the bistro a little after 930 and they couldn't cook breakfast because on weekdays it stops at 930. The lady that was on her phone didn't inform me. So I wasted my money for 2 days because I wasn't able to use the breakfast voucher. It wasn't my fault it was the front desk that gave me misinformation.
