Has a really weird entrance, but once you figure it it's ok. It makes the parking lot a little tight, but manageable. Breakfast is plain, but decent in a pinch. My problem is that the whole left side of the room, the power was gone. Lights and outlets weren't working. Disappointing but can get around it. But the ANTS on the desk when I woke up WERE NOT COOL. That brings a three star rating down to one. Bugs are never a good thing in a hotel. Have pictures and video to prove it.

The staff at the front desk allowed me to check in early since I was attending the wedding. They were super easy to work with. It is not the easiest to get in and out of the parking lot.

Everything is great. Pleasant, helpful (needed change for washer and dryer and they went the extra effort to get some. Room was very clean. Pool was a little cold.

Great staff, first place I’ve ever encountered toilet paper flowers, dated workout space and building in general - priced accordingly for what you get

Starr is friendly. Breakfast included. Pretty quiet. Available washer and dryer. Plenty of parking spaces. Modern room. Very good value.

The staff was great. Pool was actually open, and breakfast area was stocked and good. The only down side is the entrance was weird to find, but that's not their fault.

This hotel was dirty. You walk in and all you smell is air freshener and an old smell in the first floor hallway. There was no one available to assist us we had to wait for the attendant to come in from outside. She watched us walk in. There was a big bug in our room. The floor was extremely dirty. My socks were so black after walking on it. Full parking we almost didn’t get a parking spot both nights that we stayed. The food options are limited and the dining area is very small. The bed was loud but it was okay. When we tried to check out I had to wait 15 minutes because there was no attendant. Bad experience. I will not be coming back.

A short but sweet stay. We were warmly welcomed. The room was clean and well maintained. And the morning breakfast was especially pleasant for the rate we paid (biscuits and gravy, potatoes, and a waffle bar).

Conviently located in central Ankeny Iowa. Very clean and comfortable with updated accommodations! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were supportive and comfortable. Stay included breakfast and all for a competitive price. The hotel exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to family and friends. A great value for the quality and service. We will definitely stay again on return trips to Ankeny. December 2025

Business looks like it’s closed. But it’s actually open and super clean inside. I’ve stayed at some around the area and this is definitely some where I’d stay again.

I explained to the morning shift that there was mold in the shower. He did not tell me sorry, he told me they would have maintenance check it out. No compensation (was not exactly looking for it). Not much remorse.

The floors in our room were dirty.

Dirty establishment. The floors are extremely dirty. Attendants are barely around. Air freshener is blasted through the hall ways.

Had to change rooms because of broken bed frame. Dried food on ironing board. No maid service for the four days we stayed there.

Tired and worn hotel. Direct TV did not work and was not addressed during 3 night stay. Had a suite- but it’s just an L shaped room with an uncomfortable love seat and desk. Cramped room. Internet very poor. Threadbare towels- and had to ask for more as did not have housekeeping services on weekend. Toilet leaked. Staff appeared annoyed with any request.

Went beyond to help with our travel. Room was nicely remodeled. No carpet!!

The service was good. It was difficult to find and hard to get to. The room was a bit humid.

The bed was noisy - it had some type of sheet metal that "rumbled" getting in and out and moving around. The room was not very sound proof - you could hear those walking around in the room above. There were spiders in the bathroom.

Tv didnt work and small space for a pull out couch and king bed . It was clean and felt safe.

Property was fine for a one night stay. The first room I was given had a dripping shower faucet and the front desk gave me a different room when asked. There was a stain on the bedspread in the new room but the room was otherwise fine. The walls are a bit thin, but it's what you would expect in this type of property.

We had had a horrible experience just before we got there at another hotel. The staff at Quality Inn were fantastic! They listened to our frustration, did a quick but thorough job of checking us in, the room was spotless, and the person at the front desk when we left was very helpful and kind. We will recommend Quality Inn!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was unacceptable. The staff were not only rude and unprofessional, but clearly lacked basic training in hospitality and respect for guests. Most concerning was their complete disregard for ADA laws. When I brought up my child’s accessibility needs (service animal), I was met with confusion, dismissiveness, and even attitude—as if I were being difficult for expecting compliance with federal law. Staff questioned the legitimacy of my service animal, demanded unnecessary documentation, and made me feel unwelcome—all of which are clear violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Under federal law, individuals with disabilities are allowed to be accompanied by their service animals in all areas where the public is normally allowed to go. Staff are only permitted to ask two specific questions: (1) Is the animal required because of a disability? and (2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? Anything beyond this is not only inappropriate but unlawful. It’s unacceptable in 2025 for a hotel to be this unprepared and uninformed about disability rights. I would strongly advise against staying here if you value professionalism, respect, or accessibility.

I went ro check in and you guys already charged ny card but when i got there they tried to make ne pay again

Super Friendly staff! Tyler checked me in. He was cordial, helpful and quick. The property was clean and the room was in EXCELLENT condition! I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It was a great value!

Very Satisfied! Bansri Amin was great! Very professional and accommodating. I would most definitely stay here again.

Room was decent…… was not clean. When asked to clean the room they did not clean it. When asked about towels they asked that we came back later in the day as they were doing laundry, completely fine by us. When we went to the front desk for the towels the desk clerk was a complete jerk,

This Quality Inn truly was 'quality'. Very nice. Very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had many options. Would stay here again if passing through the area.

This was easy to get to (once we found which driveway to use to get to the property), clean, quiet, and the breakfast was good. Check in and check out was fast, we got good advice on where to eat, and the breakfast was good.

Front desk at check in was friendly hotel smelled clean. Beds were nice. Breakfast was basic. The banana were brown biscuits hard potatoes hard dry sat to long. We had coffee and yogurt instead

Decent place to stay if you just need a room. Staff was friendly, we were able to check in early and used the pool for an hour. The breakfast could have some protein like sausage or bacon. All bread and gravy.

The 2 queen beds were incredibly comfortable. The sleep sofa mattress, not so. Unless you need the sleep sofa to sleep 2 people, sleep on top of the cushions instead. Good breakfast, though wish some eggs and meat had been offered - all carbs and cereals were not ideal.
