Great place to stay with recent updates!

Iowa pheasant hunt. 4 rooms, 4 guys and 4 dogs. Clean comfortable beds( I covered with sheets from home) rooms look to have been renovated recently, the grounds were clean even though there were lots of hunting dogs(yes we picked up waste) and friendly staff. My only complaint is my mini fridge was frosted up badly. Needed defrosting!

No elevator so had to lug our luggage upstairs by hand. There was dirty socks on the stairs as we went up and down the whole time we were there

The room was ok the bathroom was not. The floor tile by the shower has failed and the subfloor is rotting and spongy. $50. Extra per night with two dogs for three nights seems a little steep for a room of this quality. The staff was very kind. It’s good enough for a guys and dogs hunting trip. We rented three rooms for three guys. I’m sure that I will be back.

The room and hotel was clean. What I didn’t like was there was no elevator to the second floor. The person who checked me in assigned me a room on the second floor and did not ask me if this was okay. I only found out there was no elevator when I asked where it was. He did move me to the first floor when he saw I was not happy.

Nice bed and clean room.

Typical travel hotel. No bells and whistles. Decent breakfast, but no meat (sausage or bacon).everything was clean except our bathroom. Poor upkeep/cleaning in bathroom. We stayed 2 night and the super nice lady at the desk worked the Whole Time! So, probably not enough help.

Clean and friendly. Carpet in our room needed replaced, however it was very clean.

It was gross there was some weird stain on our lamp shade there was missing carpet throughout the room and there was food in random spots (not ours) there was burnt hair on the hair dryer and the water was yellow

The room was spacious and clean, but had an off odor like stale hay or something organic. Once we were in it, the smell wasn’t noticeable but every time we reentered the room, it was there😒 Otherwise, it was fine

Pretty good for a super 8. Front desk attendant was nice. Bed was comfortable, room didn’t feel clean and there was hair in the shower.

Rooms seemed clean the pillows were small and blankets were thin but the beds themselves were comfortable.

Good stay beds where comfortable

The room was spacious and clean, but had an off odor like stale hay or something organic. Once we were in it, the smell wasn’t noticeable but every time we reentered the room, it was there😒 Otherwise, it was fine

There are three "hotels" in Emmetsburg. One smells like casino cigarettes, one just smells, and the other is Brookestone. Now I know. Check-in was quick and easy, although the room was grossly overpriced for what it was - a 2 Story Super8 motel in a town of 3600 people 30 minutes drive from anything useful and a rate of $130 for the night. When I entered my room, one light switch worked, the other did not. Presumably it was tied to the outlet the floor lamp was plugged into. However, that lamp was not switched on. I immediately noticed a stale musty smell upon entry. It had been a long day and I needed a shower so I just accepted my fate. The bathroom was as plain as can be with a basic shower and toilet. The shower curtain rod looked like it had been ripped from the wall during a fall and patched and plastered by a highschool student. The toilet had mineral stains indicating lack of regular cleaning. The water pressure was the best feature of the room. The bed was hard and not overly comfortable and the pillows were equally generic. Bring your own pillow if possible. The room was fairly quiet, which was a welcome relief. As for the continental breakfast, I did not partake as I had early morning errands to run. I decided to try my luck with the drive through coffee shop across the street. I would recommend against it. TL;DR: There are 3 options in Emmetsburg, none great for the going rate when compared to the amenities this town offers. You're better off staying in Spencer

Room was excellent, but shower door was not on the track, shower head needs cleaned. Exhaust fan was very dirty. Very good breakfast, staff was very friendly.

Neither the hairdryer or the TV worked in our room. the staff changed the hairdryer quickly

No one at front desk upon check in and no instructions on how to contact person. Had to figure out myself.

Started for Irish Festival and not disappointed. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and rates were very reasonable. Would definitely stay again.

The staff was super accommodating. There was a minor glitch with the TV and the desk attendant was more than helpful to get it resolved - even though it was 10:30 at night. The continental breakfast in the morning is delicious. From fresh-made, do-it-yourself waffles to fruit and yogurt and cereal. And cold milk and juice in the fridge! Iowans are the best people. Fresh pizza from Caseys, the best chicken from Pizza Ranch, and enjoy something Chinese from Sum Hing Chinese Restaurant on Broadway. Emmetsburg is great!

Everyone who worked there was so nice and hospitable!

The front desk couple were very nice

Very disappointing especially after staying there before. Room was not attended to at all during our stay. Iron didn’t work, neither did the blow dryer function as it should have. Didn’t replace towels, we appreciate clean ones daily. We paid for service & renting. Won’t be back.

We are grateful that there is this motel in E-burg...thats where the grandparents live...They do not have room for us at there house and We wouldn't want to stay in spencer...

Caring staff. Great breakfast Setup. Spacious rooms.

Everything was great up to the point of continental breakfast. The only hot item was mini waffles. An I don’t eat waffles or cereal. I didn’t get the benefit of the free breakfast. I was very disappointed with this and might prevent me from staying again.

All was good. Breakfast was great! Room was a bit musty as though someone prior had smoked in the room...it is a non-smoking room. Front desk offered to change our room. Go to Commerce Street for a great meal!

Check-in was quick and easy. Hallway smelled like urine, and there was even a pluggable wall fragrance in the hallway outlet. My room felt damp/wet. Tried to make the room colder to decrease the dampness, but I got too cold with the bedding provided. The bed had a sheet and a top cover that was also as thick as a sheet. Breakfast was just ok. All of the yogurts were expired.
