Holiday Inn Champaign by IHG

My family had 2 breakfast vouchers for the hotel. If you did t have the voucher it would have cost $15. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. Unfortunately when we arrived at 8:15am they were out of all main dishes as well as plates, IN and regular coffee. I asked the staff if additional regular coffee was being Ade the staff member replied yes we are making more but I can guarantee you the decaf is regular coffee. Needless to say we didn’t eat at the hotel. The weekend we stayed was graduation weekend so the hotel was busy but businesses should better prepare for busy weekends.

Total dump. Lobby smells like urine. Outside of property is filthy and neglected. Arrived at 3PM check-in time and room wasn’t ready. They couldn’t tell me when it would be ready or if it would be ready at all. There were 5 people ahead of me all waiting for rooms as well - some had been waiting for over 4 hours so I don’t know if there even were any available rooms. Front desk was no help and didn’t care at all. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. 2 weeks before check-in they called me to tell me I needed to pay 100% in advance and non-refundable within 24 hours or lose the room even though according to my hotels.com booking, I could cancel for free up to 48 before check-in. My next call will be to the Better Business Bureau. These people are scam artists and I hope they go out of business soon. Horrible property, horrible staff. Don’t ever book a room here no matter how desperate you are.

Rooms were clean, and quite, staff was super friendly.

Very nice

Great location , Over priced for the amenities, free parking but didn’t like that the lot was not attached to the hotel and needed more lighting in that lot.
