OYO Hotel Richburg SC I-77

I have traveled for the last 40 years. This was either the worst room I’ve stayed in or very close. This hotel should be taken out of hotels.com and not offered to anyone.

#1 it isn't an oyo, our gps kept telling us we were there but we couldn't see an oyo, finally found a sign with address number. The person working the registration was very friendly and kind, the only good thing i can really say. We got to our room it was decorated a little different.. but even that was fine. Went into bathroom, there was 1 towel and one wash cloth, shut the door to use facilities and there lay a wet wash cloth and a towel on hook of door that had what appeared to be someone's personal towel. The shower was missing tiles in multi areas. There was less than an1/8 th roll of toilet paper with no replacement available. There was a piece of soap for washing your hands. The sink was broken in multiple spots and someone had made an attempt to glue it with a reddish substance that was smeared all over...i could not sleep for fear of what I'd be touching.

We checked in, but upon entering the room, the 1st thing I noticed was multiple burn holes in the bedspread, as well as stains on the spread and pillows. The curtains were broken, and only 1/2 of the window was covered. We were so discussed with the room that we left and found another hotel in the area to stay. I would not recommend this hotel to a homeless person, nor would I allow let an animal sleep there.

I never checked in because there wasn't anyone there to check me in. Nobody answered the number when called. The place is an absolute DUMP. I have filed a claim with PayPal for a refund. This place is nothing like it's portrayed.

A calm and pleasant environment throughout. Staff were friendly and supportive.
