Was surprisingly bigger than I thought. Very friendly and welcoming. If I get the chance, I'll certainly stay again. Your bar area was not open though and I would have liked to have a cocktail or two before or even after visiting with friends. Perhaps next time? Thank you.

Floor number designations are very confusing. The 1st floor label on the elevator is actually the rooms with 200 #. You get on the elevator, press the 2nd floor button, and the doors open to the 3rd floor. There is no 3rd floor button in the elevator. Very confusing. I ran into another couple that was as confused as me. The desk clerk tried to explain, but it still made no sense. It would be very difficult for 1st responders

We ended up not even staying, we checked in, and then found out the pool was broken, and we were there to have a pool party with our friends and kids. No one even mentioned to us the pool was broken, even when at check in we were talking about me. We had several very upset kids.

We loved the pet friendliness of this property! It was so convenient to be able to take our dogs out through the sliding door directly into the courtyard instead of through a hallway. The courtyard area was really lovely and breakfast was a nice surprise perk.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Perry and his staff were great in the breakfast area. They kept the food hot, fresh and plentiful throughout the entire breakfast. They were available for all the guests. However, I do have a compliant. The back door lock was broken. I did not feel secure as anyone can just walk in and could potential cause a problem.

Its a friendly hotel and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. It is nice to stay at a place where you don't really hear the highway. But its a big and confusing hotel. Not because it is a tall building, but because there are 4 wings that look pretty much alike, so you can end up wandering the halls wihtout finding your room easily. Nothing that can be done about that, except maybe better markings on the hallways and staircases, for which wing you are going to. Its a nice place, but just be aware, the layout is a little confusing.

I had booked/requested a second-floor room and ended up in the first floor room that was handicap accessible, which we do not need. It was possibly the worst room in the hotel next to the elevator and parking lot access door, with a door outside to the hallway that slammed loudly every time someone would come in and out of the corridor. The room was definitely not soundproof as we could hear people using the bathrooms in their rooms around us, the ice machine beeping, and anyone talking in the hallway We also had intense highway noise and a parking lot right outside our window. The hotel is very rundown. Our room itself had a very dirty bathroom with hair in the shower floor and a dirty ceiling. The carpet in the room was very dirty The microwave was very smelly inside and the plate was not the correct plate so it could not be used. The lightbulbs in the room were very jarring to the eye with super bright fluorescent bulbs, I asked to move rooms, but the hotel said that they could not because it had been booked through a third-party and that they were sold out. I’m not sure if this was true. All of the toiletries in the room were made with a nut oil (afghan) and one of our travelers is extremely allergic to nuts. Do better Expedia. Do better Best (WORST) Western.

We were checked into our 1st room in which we paid an extra 40 dollars to have acces to a patio. We get into the room and it immediately smells so musty. We set our things down and i look around. I immediately find ants crawling all over the bathroom. They were on the toilet , in the sink, floor and shower. My husband then goes to the front desk to notify them of this. The guy at the front desk sends us to another room. We get inside and it again smells musty . I then go to the bathroom and this time there is MOLD all over the ceiling, under the sink and around the mirror. The patio door from the inside has leaves sticks and dirt all on the inside . The patio is just a door that leads to a table with an ashtray on top. The cleanliness of this hotel isnt even on the scale. I wouldnt even rate it.Outdated and uncared for is an understatement. DISCUSTING. POOR MANAGEMENT. I laid awake all night because of how discusting I felt. I couldnt wait to LEAVE THIS PLACE. The owners/management should do everyone a favor and tear this place down.

The hotel has a permeating smell that is not pleasant, there was hair in the shower that was not ours and the heat wasn’t working when we got here we had to shut it off while we went to dinner and it finally started getting warm. However the young lady who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful.

It seemed kind of out dated. The bathroom was really small, and tthey had made an attempt to hide some tv cables behind a makeshift wood box that was inches away from the wall just looked strange.

It was just ok. Some aspects were cleaner than I expected but it is very old and pictures are deceiving. It really needs an update. The bed was very firm. The staff was friendly. Probably would not stay again.

We have stayed here many times before and this time I had a few complaints. There is no fan in the bathroom and the tub was not draining properly after taking a shower. Pillows in room were very uncomfortable for your neck however the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was just ok. Eggs had a weird consistency and oder. The potatoes were very tasty. I chose this Best Western because of location. If I return for a stay I would hope for some improvements

For the negatives; we have two little dogs. Our room was at the end. Every time the doors opened or closed, the doors slammed, where it banged and would wake everyone up, including the dogs. There is no sidewalk to the door entrance, and so you had to walk on the uneven grass/snow. For the positives; The room was clean, the shower hot and the bed very comfortable. If only parents would control their children, not lettinb them scream down the hallways, it would have been a nice getaway.

Check-in was a nightmare. The rest was mostly great. The good: I traveled solo with two toddlers. It was safe, quiet and the cleaning staff was really sweet and conscientious. The breakfast was good with both hot and cold items and a good variety! The bad: I had two toddlers and the website said there was an elevator. Despite having booked months in advance and arriving at 3:30pm (check-in was 3:00pm), there were no clean rooms available on the wing where the elevator was working. The check-in gal said she'd call housekeeping to see if there were any clean rooms in the wing with the elevator but she didn't call right away and opted instead to check in two more, separate individuals without kids in tow while I circled the lobby in the stroller hoping mine would be content while she sorted out the room situation. After waiting past their patience, they began to scream and meltdown (we'd been driving all day), only for her to call and find out there were still no clean rooms and I was forced to carry all our luggage (including all the gear for toddler sleep) along with two kids, by myself up and down the stairs. I was sweating! Also, the pool was pretty cold. We swam bc the toddlers really wanted to but it took some willpower to muster through staying in the frigid water. The carbon monoxide detector wasn't working (probably battery dead). I let the front desk know. Also, I always travel with my own bc this is a huge gap in safety at hotels nationwide & globally.

Front desk unwelcoming, unprofessional, and certainly was more interested in training a colleague than in getting us checked in after our long day of travel. It took nearly 10 minutes and we had even prepaid. Nearest restaurant was at least a mile or 2 away and the onsite food at this conference center is only a bar with super-limited pubfare. I suggest come prepared if you must stay here at this very dated older property that appears pretty run down.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even taught me how to pronounce the name of the road outside the motel! This motel is certainly a vintage Midcentury marvel outside, but the rooms have been updated. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the room temperature just right. One safety issue: we noticed that the outside building door's lock was broken, but the interior room locks were fine. As other reviewers have noted, the shower was a bit stubborn about working, but it eventually did. There was a certain amount of highway noise; I wouldn't call it excessive, however. We heard no people or pet-noise. Breakfast featured all the usual motel standbys--make-it-yourself waffles, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and the typical meh-tasting scrambled eggs. The breakfast area used to be a restaurant, and is a quaint throwback to the 1970's, with an amusingly excellent sound system. From the motel, it's convenient to drive into Galesburg or Knoxville. We stayed here only one night while attending a family event in a nearby town.

The location was convenient, the hotel seemed like an "upscale" hotel but was very affordable. The courtyard was inviting and quiet. Breakfast was better than most and the dining room surpassed my expectations. Room was clean and the door didn't slam shut like the doors in every hotel I've ever stayed at.

We booked mainly for the pool because we stayed here before. Desk clerk said it was open it wasn’t. It was out of order. They wouldn’t compensate because we booked through Expedia. They said Expedia put us in a wheelchair accessible room by mistake. The restaurant was closed. Not going back or using Expedia again.

Good spacious clean roons. Nice pool for the kids. The breakfast seemed ok, though i just got coffee. I was a bit surprised at how much it cost for a ranom weekend in Galesburg though.

The former Jumer’s property is in excellent shape. The staff is friendly, very competent and engaged. The morning breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Cost very reasonable. This will be first Galesburg option moving forward.
