Courtyard by Marriott Rockford

All was great! Room, Bistro Cafe and staff.

I always like how comfortable the beds are, and the shower.... parking can be a issue on the weekends.

The pool, the courtyard, and the private balcony were big hits with us on this trip. Thanks.

We did not find the pool usable. The water looked dirty, it was not clear. And it was freezing cold.

Great place. Only con small pool but would be good for kids.

The bartender was an absolute doll! I don’t remember her name but she was amazing! We had such a fun time joking around and she made me feel special. The front desk gentleman was the most patient man I’ve ever seen. He had a phone call that I could tell was an older person who did not understand a lot of things and didn’t know how to use a map app on their phone. He was so patient and sweet to them. I would have pretended the reception was bad and hung up!!!! They were the only two employees I had contact with but because of them I will book another stay in the future. I wish I remembered the bartenders name because we “we’re going to ditch men and go have a girls night”!!!

Liked convenience of 1st floor sliding door allowing easy access to parking lot.

Amazing front desk was really nice and helpful at check in, thank he hotel was quite and clean. Loved the sliding doors to a little sitting area so we could hang out outside.

The customer service here was exceptional, however, the air conditioning in our room wouldn't turn on a lot of times. Our first morning the pool didn't open until almost 9am, when it's advertised as opening at 8am. When we tried to swim the pool was so ridiculously cold that we could not swim in it. I checked throughout our stay and it never got warmer. Will not be staying here again.

The hotel was nice and the room was clean. I was surprised to find that there were no USB outlets like in other hotel rooms for device chargers. Was also disappointed that the pool was closed.

Didn’t tell us about paying for breakfast in advanced so was not able to get breakfast at 8am. Hotel room was trash and stains on sheets.

carpet was so dirty, it left your feet black

The room smelled musty and the towels and sheets not the cleanest. Very friendly stay.. expected better for the rate

The hotel room smells really bad and there was mold in the shower.

Terrible smell in the room. The room was not taken care of. There were stains on the wall, ceiling, the lampshade was gross. The room smelled like something was soured. Wall paper was discolored and starting to peel, bathroom had discolorations on door, walls, ceilings and floors. It’s way past time for an upgrade. The front desk area looks newer but the hall and room is gross. We won’t stay at this location again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Loved that it had a comfortable couch and foot rest. The sink was outside the toilet and shower-we both love this. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and effecient. My favorite part was the Starbucks in the lobby. Only thing I missed was free breakfast but they have a Biestro on site. The Thunder Bay restaurant next door was excellent!

Lack of cleanliness

Overall it was good. My cleanliness comment had to do with some permanent stains/stuff on the carpet (chewing gum?) Other than that it looked dusted and wiped. Big problem first night- after about 3 flushes the water in toilet just kept running-valve in tank would not shut off no matter how much jiggling it took. Valve was corroded badly (even though it was plastic). No way to shut the water off. Went to desk to explain-asked for a tool to turn it off after we flushed throughout the night. Did not want to change rooms because we were all settled in. Maintenance man gave me a pliers to shut the water off at the source-impossible to use because of the design. He had no idea what the system looked like. Asked clerks at desk for a screwdriver. They had a large one I thought would work and it looked like it had been used many times for the same situation. NO official tool for that system was available on site. Used the screw driver successfully several times in the night. Next day asked desk clerks to have the toilet repaired while we were out--(we came to town for a funeral). Ultimately a new valve was installed and the 2nd night was good. ALL Desk clerks were very friendly and apologetic. They were not dismissive of my complaint and so got the job done. With respect the Bistro-prices way too high. We ate breakfast somewhere else on Saturday. A free or reasonable breakfast bar would probably bring in more business (and maybe funds). Give that a try-convert the Bistro.

Elevators wet gross. Not very clean overall. Beat up furniture.

Room was clean and ready. Staff very kind

The room seemed super old and outdated. Our toilet also barely flushed. You could also hear every sound your neighbors made or even people down the hall. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The room was dated but my stay was comfortable.

We had pleasant stay, though indeed this Marriott brand needed some updates or maybe to have a good maintenance team & employees who knows how to give a good touches for few significant spots. Some of lobby sofas cover were broken/damaged, including bedroom ceiling, an outdated bathroom doors which never been touched/repainted, spider web/rusted sprinkler, ac unit with broken cover. These are the items could be fixed easily. Thank you.

Room was clean and spacious. We had a balcony which was a bonus. Bathroom was large and also very clean. Pool looked nice, but we ran out of time to use it. Our bed was super comfortable.

Cleanliness was ok, the HVAC unit was quite noisy, the fridge has a humming droning noise.

Great service, comfortable beds, outdated bathrooms, and air conditioner only goes down to 65.

Internet did not work, and the local ABC station was not available.

Had reservations… get there late in the evening. They had no rooms… oversold by 15 rooms with no other hotels available in the city. All they said was sorry, your problem!!! Very unprofessional!!!

Best customer service I have experienced in years.

Well the person said they locked themselves out of their account and had to wait 30 minutes to get us checked in and so myself and others had to wait over an hour to check in other than that everything else was perfect

I unexpectedly needed to stay at a hotel while in town. I was very happy during my stay at Courtyard by Marriott Rockford. The staff is fantastic! In particular, Assistant manager Maggie was so nice and helpful throughout my week stay. I was very sick and she, as well as other staff members, made my stay pleasant. The housekeeping staff was equally great, ensuring I had everything I needed. I will definitely recommend Courtyard by Marriott Rockford.

Staff was very friendly. Check in was smooth. The bed was so amazingly comfortable and the atmosphere was so pleasant

Outstanding customer service, fast check in and a great stay!

We were offered a bottle of water upon arrival, which helped so much in the evening. We were grateful for that! We saw there was a small convenience store for guests and cookies on a table. The front desk associate was super friendly and showed the map of the best parking closest to our room.

I have stayed at marriot properties for years, the property is very nice, but one person at the front desk, who I dealt with several.times was rude, did not solve my problems or concerns. Not what I expect from the marriot.

We stayed here and took Uber to the Coronado Theater to see Buddy Guy, it’s about 6 miles away. Nice rooms, bar onsite until 10pm. Nice seating area with fireplace in lobby to relax.

This is the first place we’ve ever stayed that didn’t have free coffee in the lobby. I paid extra for the breakfast that turned out to be a muffin. That couldn’t be refunded because I booked through Hotels.com. Room was quiet and clean and the coffee I paid for in the lobby was terrible. Nice place but byo-coffee

The room was clean and decent but the property overall is tired looking and needs an overhaul. Went to the bar to have a drink and the bartender working was not the most friendly person. I overheard him say he was filling in but he maybe wasn’t the type of person you would want filling in.
