Best Western Oakbrook Inn

This property is undergoing room updates. New TVs, bathroom sinks, etc. Staff is very friendly! I love being able to get a few more towels from the front desk, even after cleaning hours. Nice selection for breakfast. Even a nice attendant at an omelet station!

The made in the spot omelette were awesome also the jet tub was great but a suggestion led lights should be around the jet tub for romantic occasions

The hot water was scalding hot. In the 1st room they gave us i got burned by the tap and the water from the shower when i went to turn it of. Tub wouldn't drain. Showed them video of tub, and picture of burn mark on my shoulder then they moved me. Water was still unsafely hot but this tap wasn't solid metal. Hotel is under heavy construction and shouldn't be taking customers in some areas.

The HOT TUB WAS FANTASTIC!

They were able to check us in early, which was very much appreciated as we needed to do a quick change before going to the concert we were in town for. There was some construction tape around a section as you pull up to the property. And the inside leading to the hallways seemed a bit outdated. But room was updated and clean.

The hotel was exactly where I needed it to be logistically, but the current remodel is horrible. Really cheap materials, poorly installed. The vinyl floor planks were coming up from the floor and would trip us every time. Staff was pleasant enough, but didn't really know how to operate a hotel front desk. Probably will not stay there the next time in the area.

Easy freeway access off of route 83. Good real omelet for breakfast. Plenty of parking.

Room was cleaned, breakfast was decent, not great. Omelette was freshly prepared but limited toppings. Parking was very tough to locate at night, too many potholes

Rooms were never cleaned each day. Floors had hair in the bathroom, tub and on bottles. The hall smelled like mold

We were a bit surprised, given the area (near Oak Brook, upscale properties and respectable businesses), that the hotel was poorly maintained, mostly in the level of cleanliness. There was hair in the bathtub and on my bath towel, and the floors were not clean. Thank God the bedsheets appeared to be clean. When we arrived, the window was wide open -- in 40-degree weather. Finally, the breakfast was overrated in the comments we read: little variety mediocre omelet station. (Not the cook -- she did a great job; but the omelet options were minimal.) No complaints, however, about service, location, safety or general condition of room with the exception of lack of cleanliness.

This was one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed at in the country. We saw a cockroach in our room. Skip and stay elsewhere.

Hallway carpets were stained and dirty. There was a dead bug on the bed. There was hair from previous person in the bathroom and at the bottom of the toilet seat. The floor was not properly cleaned. The baseboards were not properly cleaned.

The location is great... but, the room had an ant infestation. Also I had booked 2 rooms. One for my wife & myself and another for my daughter & her husband. My daughter & her husband were unable to make the trip. The reservation I made were cancellable up to 4pm on the day of check in. At 10am by telephone & again at 3pm on check in I asked to cancel one of the reservations and was told both times that they could not be cancelled. FALSE ADVERTISING. Also on check in I was told to put down $100 for damage deposit for each room -- this stipulation was not in booking agreement. But I was told it was owner policy. NEXT TIME I'LL USE EXPEDIA AND STAY AWAY FROM BEST WESTERN!

The room was not clean and the bathroom was horrible. The door was situated awkwardly where it right in front of the toilet and it was hard to open and close. Room had old musty odor and overall not clean at all! Needs whole upgrade to rooms And bathrooms Hallwaya were so dirty and stuffy. No A/C in hallways. Needs complete overhaul! Would not recommend to any of my family or friends!

The rooms were not well cleaned. My bathroom was dirty they changed the room but to my surprise it was also dirty with unswept hair and dirt from sweeping left behind.

Dear Mr. Patel, I am writing to formally request a full refund for both nights of our recent stay at the Best Western Oakbrook Inn. During our reservation (Itinerary #: 73212527897069, Dates: September 16–18, Room #: 111, Name on Reservation: Fiorella Moscoso), a serious sanitation and health issue occurred. On the morning of September 17, while Ms. Moscoso was away at an offsite meeting, her partner discovered a cockroach in the bed and another near the TV. This is wholly unacceptable and created unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Her partner immediately reported the issue to Luis at the front desk. Luis acknowledged the problem and offered to move us to another room. However, as was explained at the time, the presence of cockroaches is not isolated to a single room but instead suggests a broader facility-wide infestation. Luis agreed to refund the second night but stated he did not have the authority to refund the first night and directed us to contact you. We called the hotel to reach you directly but we were informed you were unavailable. Given the severity of this issue—specifically the health risks and breach of basic sanitary standards—we are requesting a full refund for both nights. Anything less is unreasonable under these circumstances. Please confirm in writing that the full refund will be processed to the original form of payment within the next three (3) business days. The hotel was nice, The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The window to my room on the first level was unlocked but I always check. My biggest problem was this hotel has ROACHES. I saw one dead in the bathroom and a live one running across the wall in the area where Breakfast is served. It was disturbing!

Stayed in Room 102 , had a roach in it , Tiles were broken , outlet in the bathroom not working

Overall the stay was nice. We had the jacuzzi room and the set up was nice. The only downfall was that the closed captioning on the tv didn’t work, the sound on the tv itself kept going out (we would have to turn the tv off and back on for the volume to work again) and the volume on the tv only went up so much and couldn’t really hear it over the jets in the jacuzzi. The breakfast was actually really good and the create your own omelette was pretty cool. I would definitely come back despite the tv issues.

This property is not in Oakbrook but Westmont. I could have thrown a stone onto the highway which sounded like it was in our room. I could tell when an 18-wheeler went by vs a motorcycle vs a muscle car. Was much better when I bought ear plugs that totally block out noise, but there is no sound dampening that I can tell. Loudest place I've been in for quite a while.

My family and I were in town for the Metallica weekend. I had booked another hotel via hotels.com, but that hotel canceled my reservation an hour and a half before check in. Needing to find another room quickly, I found the Best Western via hotels.com app. No pool for the kiddos (which was my fault for not looking for that when booking) but overall a wonderful stay. Property was very clean, rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The city is a 45 minute train ride away and there are plenty of food options within 5 miles of the hotel. Easy to get to by car. They don’t have vending per se, but offer $1 drinks at the front desk. Free breakfast was great. Overall a hidden gem just outside the city of Chicago. I would definitely return.

LG tv dud not have a remote control. Called front desk and generic remote delivered. Batteries DEAD. Do not know if for LG. TV quality rating: ZERO.

Nice hotel in area where it was hard to notice. The rooms were very clean. Best part. No carpets in the room. And a nice comfortable couch was included.

Room was very nice plenty of space and clean. But the noise from highway traffic was very disturbing.

When arrived our room was obviously not cleaned. Got new room quickly. That room no shampoo. Smoke detector batteries went out at 1100 waking us up. Had to be changed. Clean. Close to train to Union Station. Great breakfast. Safe. Room backed on highway so noisy.

The property itself isnt in the best shape, but the rate for this hotel seems very reasonable when considering the area it is in. The staff are very friendly and they have a great complimentary breakfast, especially by today's post-covid standards. A great value stay in my opinion!

Excellent customer service

Been almost a week and still waiting to get my 50 dollar deposit back from the hotel

The stay was pretty standard considering a Best Western. Staff was very friendly. However, I was charged 5 times for a one night stay. I reserved the room on my credit card in which I was told it declined and used my debit card. I have fraud alert on my credit card and to my surprise I was charged twice as the card did go through. However, I was able to get those charges reversed immediately. My debit card however was hit three times! I was told by front desk that it will take seven to fourteen days to get a refund. Not sure what happened! I have experienced anything like this before no matter the hotel chain. I am now disputing these charges with my bank. Might I add, the water was lukewarm so no hot shower. Grateful, I know how to travel with other financial resources. Apologies were made, but my money still funny.

This was the best hotel stay my partner and I have had in years. Affordable for the expensive Chicago metro area without having to sacrifice quality of the rooms/service. The front desk staff were friendly, inviting, and helpful. If you wanted to get knew towels/toiletries, you just asked the front desk for service. None of the wasteful and loud cleaning that happens every day for sometimes unnecessary reasons in many hotels. The free breakfast was excellent, including a build your own omelet option. The kitchen staff were very friendly and patient.

For travelers flying in/out of OHare the early check in needs to be earlier. I recognize this is likely a staffing issue but the last thing I wanted after an already long day was to be told to wait an hour. Otherwise, the place was a strong okay.

Dirty room. Noisy and rude front desk staff. And the $50 deposit still hasn’t been returned to me! Stay away from this place

The property is in a convenient location near great Chinese restaurants and store. The staff was really fabulous! So polite and helpful. Breakfast..homemade omelets! My room was comfy and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again.

I’m not sure if the common areas are under construction or the patching on the walls were a design. The room was pretty nice a clean. Finding the hotel was a little confusing because it is set pretty far back from the road with only a small sign marking the entrance. It was also pouring down rain so that may have affected my visibility some

I liked that I felt safe in this location inside and outside the building area, staff was nice, and the room was very nice and clean. Bed and pillows super comfy. I was really satisfied with my stay and would stay here again. Breakfast was good as well. Parking right in front was super convenient.

Great place and location. Clean neighborhood. Clean room. Good breakfast. Would stay here again Monday night, but you have to book 2 nights. Oh well. Guess I’ll go somewhere else Monday.

Was all good - staff nice, clean, breakfast, etc. Area is just a strip-mall environment, so it’s not a place to stay if you’re on foot or looking for outdoors space.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was decent. Easy parking access. A few restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was a delight!! Fresh eggs made on order. Yoghurt, french toast, waffles, sausages, bagels and more.

Everything went very well. Can’t thank enough the service lady at the breakfast (Raquel) is I am not wrong. Excellent experience.

Was supposed to have 2 queen beds and only had double beds. Had no towels or wash clothes. It took over an hour to get towels and wash clothes after going to the front desk and asking for them. Had roaches in the room when we woke up. For breakfast had cold French toast. Had a omelette made to order but the eggs were still raw in the middle. Will not stay again.

Good omelettes for breakfast. However always running out of yogurt and bananas. When asked, employee says “we have no more”.
