The kiddie pool was closed when we arrived for maintenance which was the reason we booked it so we were disappointed. The regular pool and jacuzzi were nice. Clean and nice hotel. Extremely nice staff. Breakfast was good and would stay here again. Jetted tub in room was great.

The lights around the Hotel shined into the room in the front where our room was. Making it impossible to sleep.The fridge didn't work and the pool was filthy.

My kids and i will go to the portage CIAS a couple if times to use the hot tub and pool. Normally our stay is great. We ch3cked in around 430pm and headed to the pool The hot tub was cold and was hot until around 9pm. We came down 3 times to check and for ths girls to swim. All 3 times we had to go to the front desk to ask them to fill towels. I dont swim and specifically come for the hot tub so i was definitely a bit disappointed.

Overall we had a good stay but the pool was a bus reason we picked it and it was cold. I asked if it was heated and was told yes and they’d check. Tried the pool again before we left and our kids were shivering. Otherwise the stay was good!

We stay here every year when we come up this way because my kids love the frog slide. Nice hotel otherwise too.

The hotel was in a complex just off of the highway. The parking is shared with a steakhouse. I liked being able to keep an eye on my car from my room. Unfortunately that is where the good stopped. The hotel is dated and a little run down. Our room was not vacuumed and just felt old and tired. The toilet was toddler sized so it was hard to use. The soap holder in the bathroom was broken. The bathroom floor was disgusting with cracks and breaks throughout. The beds were ok but you had to maneuver to find the spot where you didnt feel like you would roll off the edge. Everytime we left the room our keys would not work upon returning and we would have to go back to the front desk to get them activated. The rooms were noisy and the kids down the hall could be clearly heard. Also, when the kids were active the whole room would shake like we were in an earthquake. There were two front desk staff that were nice Angela and a gentleman(didnt get his name). The rest of the staff were rude but I have come to realize it might be the area norm and not just at the hotel. Overall this was not the kind of stay I expected when booking a hotel with the Radisson name

First room we had was not cleaned, falling apart and carpet was disgusting. Got moved to another room, which was much better and appreciated. Asked for old towels to be picked up from room and never happened.

This hotel has gone downhill in the last several years they used to be the best place to stay at while I was visiting in Portage. The owner does not want to seem to put the money in to remodeling the carpets are filthy the workers do not keep a clean which I will post pictures sheets are stained carpets are not swept. And then on top of that they do nothing to control guest throwing birthday parties there and having tons of people come into the pool party that are not staying in the hotel and you can't enjoy the pool with your family or even have a table to sit at. They should stick to having a wristband year around and not just in the summertime that way guest of the hotel can enjoy it.

Everything was clean! The staff was great!

The bed lining was dirty in two of our beds. The shower curtain had hairs. The indoor pool was very nice. The breakfast was decent. The staff was very friendly.

The sink was stop up,bug in the room,it smell like mold in the in the room.

My room furniture had burn holes in it. Stains. Crumbs on pull out bedding. Garbage (burger king crown) left behind. Floor wasn’t vacuumed. Terrible room. Dirty and stained.

Nice hotel, bed was comfortable. Room could have been cleaner. There was confetti on the floor and a still full of air balloon on the floor by the bed which makes me wonder how well the room was cleaned. Overall we had a nice stay

They have a nice pool, with a hot tub for the grown-ups and a shallow pool for the kids, along with a small water slide for the young ones. Breakfast is also included with your stay, and it changed slightly each day, so it doesn't get boring. The only problem we had was that the carpet in our room made the bottom of our socks and feet black. We just had to remember to wear shoes when walking inside to get over that. Still, it was very clean besides that. We really enjoyed this hotel and will be back again!

We like staying at this location. Restaurants within walking distance. Our room met all our needs. It was quiet and comfortable.

Property located in an area of variety in terms of dining options. Room left much to be desired. Felt like I was in a meat locker when i initially walked into the room (thermostat read 50F).the grout in the bathroom was in poor condition causing the tiles to shift as you moved around.

Overbooked my room so i had to downgrade the first night. Staff found a room that I reserved and moved me to that one the second day without telling me. Had to go up and down to try and get keys reactivated to collect my stuff when I got back at 930pm. Rooms were dirty/not well maintained & many outlets didn't work. People in adjacent room were very loud or the building doesn't have good soundproofing. The complementary breakfast was good though, but a friend told me about it because the stuff did not. Closets had holes in the doors.

Unfortunately we were on the 1st floor (room 101) and the upstairs room noise sadly disturbed our sleep.

Thry had trouble locating my reservation. My room didn’t have air conditioning so it was pretty miserable.

Friendly, helpful staff everywhere. We ended up here after a horror show of a night at the nearby Best Western Plus. This place was $8 more expensive but the difference couldn’t have been more stark. Best Western had one desk employee and one cleaning staff person visible. The team culture and service orientation of the Country Inn was evident. A stay. If you are considering these two places, it’s a no brainer. Stay at Country Inn.

The facilities were generally as expected, but it was startling the issues we came across with the hotel staff. At check in, the concierge repeatedly said I had not paid for the room and I had not been charged, despite my showing receipts through both my credit card and Expedia. He refused to look further or listen, and wouldn't even look at me. Eventually the other concierge offered to look through something on the computer and found my payment. After the inconvenience, we just given our keys without any apology or anything. My guests and I were baffled and offended by the interaction. The following morning we arrived at breakfast roughly 40 minutes before it was over and found very few items still in stock. Then, as we were getting our food, two employees had an open, loud argument about whether one employee was allowed to get food yet. They yelled about who was in charge, who had been there longer, etc. After the argument cooled down, one employee came over to our table and apologized for the intrusion ... then continued to argue for some time about why she was right and how long she had been working at the hotel. She seemed like she had good intentions, but was such an awkward interaction all together. I visit family in this area several times a year, and I don't think I'll be staying here again.

I would not recommend this hotel or travel service to anyone - we had reservations and a confirmation number and traveled all day pulling a trailer aand were very tired! When we arrived, they said our room was sold to somebody else. We were greatly inconvenienced and had to go to a different hotel and can't understand how we had a confirmation number and we even called the hotel just prior and confirm our room was there for two nights and then they sold it out from under us. We are contacting our attorney, will never stay at Radisson property, and will probably cancel our Expedia membership unless we get full retribution as this was egregious, illegal, and very unfair and ruined our vacation. Please advise how you want to remedy this situation- Tim

Nonexistent front desk staff

The staff were very friendly. I was able to do early check in because my room was ready. The room was clean and had cute amenities, Coffee, tea, plenty of towels, etc. Breakfast was surprisingly good. I wouldn’t dare stay anywhere else. 10/10 I’ll stay again!

I stayed at this hotel from Nov 18-Dec 7, 2024, totaling over $2,500. The facilities, property & my room were great. However on Dec 7th I was contacted by the front desk in my room saying that I was there past check out time by 45 minutes and I needed to leave. The front desk employee sounded annoyed on this call. Apparently she had been calling the room but I was sleeping & had not heard the ringing prior. I explained that I had a reservation for another three nights. She said she did not see it. I explained that I had booked it the day before & requested that she needed double check. After I hung up the phone, she continued to call back incessantly while I was trying to look up my reservation. I took the phone off the hook. I found that I had accidentally not finalized the booking I had made the day prior. I immediately finalized the reservation & called the front desk to explain what had happened and apologize. She said that it did not matter & that I would not be staying there anymore. She proceeded to call me explitative names & then hung up on me. About 15 minutes later I heard a knock at my door & a voice stating it was the local police. They said if I did not allow them entry to the room immediately they were going to take me to jail. I had minutes to pack all my things in the room or they would also take me to jail. I was flabbergasted by this experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff provided the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced - wouldn’t tell us the room number assigned, refused to bring towels into the pool area when I was watching my toddlers, wouldn’t get out of her chair in the morning to check us out. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The bathroom walls were dirty. The beds are very uncomfortable. The walls are paper thin, could hear people in the room above. Breakfast was 1/4 of what you’d get at a holiday inn for the same price. I highly advise not to stay here unless necessary.

Excellent location within walking distance of a huge Bass Pro shop. Floor above us had a really heavy footed person jumping around, but quiet otherwise. Staff was super friendly and had great suggestions for local site seeing.

The stay was very nice. The hotel is clean and has great amenities and conveniently located to local attractions. If I had one observation of discomfort is would be that the toilets in the room sets to close to the floor and should be a little taller.

Hotel has a homey atmosphere, clean, and in an area you can walk to restaurants. After driving for 12 hours, we prefer not to get back in the car.

Liked our room. 1 bedroom suite worked great for a 6 day visit with family. Furniture was a bit worn but still nice. Staff and Housekeepers were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was awful. Free water and cookies in the evening. Pool looked great for kids. Starbucks and restaurants walkable.

The staff at check in were not the most welcoming. My family was not provided times for breakfast, the dining room location, or any information on WiFi or other amenities. Breakfast was lack luster with staff failing to restock empty food containers when 30 minutes remained of breakfast and more guests were coming to eat. Furthermore, my husband consumed expired and curdled milk that nearly made him vomit in the dining room. He did not make a scene and made the property’s staff aware in the event other milk products were bad. The staff failed to apologize, did not remotely appear concerned and simply said, “Ok”. While I was happy to pay the stay price for safety near the dunes, I found this property very lack luster and will seek alternative stay options if my family is ever in the area again. The hospitality just wasn’t there. (**side note. The front desk ladies in the morning were very cordial and kind. I felt welcomed from them and appreciated their energy)

It is a great hotel property that is consistent and reliable for its service, quality and location. The rooms are always clean, the parking lot is well lit and the breakfast is always filling. Thank the staff for their hard work.

We stayed at the property.. Check-in was easy. It was convenient to Indiana Dune. During Breakfast, staff was complaining that the hotel was busy. They ran out of food during breakfast.
