Homewood Suites by Hilton Boston-Peabody

The hotel was poorly managed. Staff were not helpful. The hotel was dated and rooms not cleaned, although it says service every other day. The breakfast was an hour late coming out on 2 days of our stay. The pool was a yellow colour and did not look inviting. The hotel is in a good location.

Indoor pool was freezing. Breakfast food was never stocked. No sugar and no syrup. Awful smell from pets on our floor. Booked for adjoining rooms online. When checking in they don’t even have adjoining rooms. Will not return.

Like a prison cell, no rooms have windows that are not covered in non see through plastic. The pool was green and paint chips were floating in the water. The bathroom ceiling leaked. The staff was nice, but it is insane to not tell people they won’t be able to see the outside world from their room. I feel like i was swindled out of my money. Don’t book this hotel.

Was great deal for 6 of us, lots of space and was nice and clean, we weren’t aware there was updating going on the outside of the building, not a problem as we heard no noise but it meant we couldn’t see out of the windows as it was wrapped in plastic! Sofa bed was so uncomfortable I think sleeping on the floor would have been better, they definitely need replacing as it meant we hardly slept for 2 nights but the kids slept great in the regular beds which were very comfy. Pool was lovely and very much enjoyed by the kids and the breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. Easy check in and out and ample parking, a few restaurants within a few feet, highly recommend the Italian nearby.

Hotel was clean, parking was easy, breakfast was good, with many options. Indoor pool was freezing and almost unusable.

Staff was amazing and breakfast was good The hotel is being renovated but overall a good experience The property is a bit dated but again the standards are well kept and even though the rooms need a refresh they are nice and big Convenient location just by the highway. The pool needs to be treated more as it gave the feeling it was dirty (the colour was not transparent and because of that we did not use it) Everything else was excellent Parking was ok but you need to pay via your phone, should be free but understand if they need to control it due to people taking advantage of it and 6 to 7 dollars is ok for 24 hours Thanks

Nice breakfast for continental. The couch pull out was like sleeping on springs. Pool looked murky. Rooms were clean.

The reason I gave a 4 in certain catagories as the property is being renovated. Plastic on all windows. Some outside work being done.

Everything was great except the pool was down for maintenence which i didnt know upon booking. Had to walk to the hotel next door to use theirs.

The room was dirty all of the furniture and rugs were stained and sticky, unable to enjoy the living room/kitchenet do to the lack of cleanliness, limited channels on the bedroom tv, bathroom was ok not great just ok. Next time I’ll find a better hotel I assumed because it was a Hilton it would be really nice I was wrong. Never again.

We had a room by the back entrance - there were a few people constantly smoking marijuana and we could smell it from our room. The furniture was stained, including stains on the mattresses and sheets. There was trash on the floor that was not ours and our tub was stained with dirt. Obviously was not cleaned. We ended up leaving a night early because didn't want to spend any more time there.

The lobby seemed nice but inside the room the furniture looked dirty and dingy (too scared to sit on it) there was a big yellow stain on the rug and the ottoman looked like it had a burn hole in it. They never came to clean and/or restock anything! I will say the hotel staff was very friendly

Staff was nice but the water went from freezing too hot inconsistently and there was blood on the side of our nightstand. Absolutely filthy sleeping area and bathroom. We will never stay there again.

Room was dirty and dusty

The staff were friendly, but the accommodations were poor. Not sure about the other rooms, but the carpet was coming up, wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom... In my estimation, the property would benefit from an extensive refresh. I expected more from a Hilton property.

Stayed 12/11-12/14. First room we went into reaked like rotten food and was so dirty; we moved rooms multi times due to them being so dirty. Never mind the dirt and smell, the rooms were all falling apart. Water marks on the ceilings in each room, carpet pulled up and gross, food debris in carpet and the couch and chairs, the furniture was all stained and tattered. We requested a pack and play with our stay, when we opened it garage and piece of food came out, asked front desk if we could have cleaning supplies and was denied. The pool was dirty inside and out. Wish we knew there was construction on the hotel, so loud! And we were by the elevator and that was extremely loud, couldn't keep the little one asleep never mind us getting sleep since the elevator shook the walls and was so loud. 1 day it rained and there was tons of waste coming in the front entrance celling, the business center had standing water, I was down there and the ceiling tiles were falling from the Ceiling on to us, so much water coming in. The shower was dirty, the shower heads were broken with no water pressure. Everything about this hotel was gross. The fitted sheet on the beds were torn up, in each room we went to. They wouldn't give us mattress cover or sheet for pack and play. The heater must of been broken, set to 69 but it was constant 77 degrees in there even when you put the ac on. Only the TV in the living room worked not the bedroom one. When asked if the room could have house keeping in it the

Room and hotel could use some updating and cleaning. Sofa cushion was torn mold in bath.

I had syrup or some sticky substance on the seat and it was on my mom clothes, therefore i felt the room wasn't properly cleaned. The pillow itself had brown stains. It hasn't been washed. Some towels had light stains. I did bring that up to the front desk, nothing was done. The cleaning crew came every other day. Also bathroom was backed up and they simple handed me a plunger to do it myself.

The hotel is right next to Sonic. During the night around midnight people were beeping and laying on their horns in the Sonic drive thru. The other issue is that the AC wasn’t working well so we would open the window for air flow and the car horns would be awful. Ask for an odd numbered room so it isn’t facing Sonic.

Having a bedroom and living room was really nice, however the pull out couch was not usable to sleep on (wobbly, thin mattress and feeling every metal bar) and the rooms really need a mirror that's not in the bathroom. We were next to the elevators and it was SO loud - from the elevator, not people.

Staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. Only complaint was the pull out couch we intended to sleep on was horrible. Definitely not an option to sleep on it was barely usable for sitting. Overall would recommend hotel but not if needing the pull out couch.

The suite was very roomy and comfortable.

Our air went out the first night we were there, we were given fans but it was still over 80 degrees in our hotel room. We were switched rooms the next day but this was an issue with apaprently a few other random rooms around the hotel as well.

was a very nice room, was very clean. furniture was a little scratched up but it was fine. highway was right next to the hotel so it was a little noisy but it didn’t bother us. not as close to salem as the expedia distance said but it was still manageable. breakfast options were normal and small but still good and clean. enjoyed our stay

Very nice staff. Clean but dated. Pull out was hard to sleep on. Very springy.

Very noisy place. Between the traffics and and heater we did not sleep all night.

The rooms are quite dated and our ceiling fan wobbles, sometimes loudly.

We checked in late (@7pm) and didn’t end up getting in as there was an issue (we weren’t sure what it was though). The person at the reception, however, did well in handling the situation. She tried to find a room for us but it was small for 3 people. She also tried to call other hotels within their group but everything was already sold out that day. Another great thing she did was she allowed us to use the wifi connection so we can search around since we were only visiting the country. The issue, however, was they didn’t notify us ahead of time that our reservation had an issue. We didn’t know what the issue was but we knew it was slightly a big one as there were many people calling the front desk. We were lucky that we were able to find a hotel in downtown Boston and it was the only place left that time. Had we known that there was a problem, we could have looked around slightly earlier when we arrived in Boston (we travelled from Canada and it was very inconvenient for us to deal with this issue. Regardless of this mishap, we tried our best not to stress out the receptionist as we knew it was already a stressful day for her.

The property was terrific! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We lost a ring in our room and didn’t realize until after we checked out. We went back to look for it and the amazing employee, named King (lived up to his name), helped us find it and had us back on the road within minutes after circling back! Highly recommend this stay for anyone!

this was our second time staying. First time was great. This time they lost our reservation and offered a sister hotel next door. That hotel has one room left with 2 beds and wasn't a suite. Very populated area so makes us nervous to book again and be sure after our long drive that we would have a room!

The staff were very kind and helpful during our stay. The room was kept tidy and clean and the area was quiet and the restaurants around were great. We will gladly come back here next time!

Kristen at front desk was especially helpful, although all staff were very nice. Breakfast ...a very good buffet. Beds were quite comfortable. Full kitchen with utensils a big plus. This is our 3rd stay... For some medical appointments at Lahey Clinic in Peabody. Highly recommend. Will be returning in a couple of weeks.

The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. When my incoming flight was cancelled, they allowed me to keep the remainder of my planned 3 night stay intact. I have stayed at this hotel many times. Other hotels in the vicinity are also quite good, but I always try first for this one. Breakfast included is also very handy, especially when I was traveling as a single parent with with pre-teen kids. For the same purpose, it is good to have kitchens in the suites. The location is actually excellent, once one gets the hang of Rte. 1. Watch the exit signs carefully.

Staff very pleasant and helpful.

I requested an early check-in and was told I would get a call back but given no timeline. I called back a few hours later and the staff I spoke to was rude. I never received an early-check in and was left sitting in the lobby waiting. Staff was not actively at the counter and no one asked if they could help me in any way while I was waiting. Additionally, the hotel had a fire inspection while I was in the lobby and management didn't pull the inspectors into a private space and let the whole lobby hear the short-comings of the results. Finally, there was a notice in my room that it would be cleaned every other day and not once was my room attended to.

Our room was very nice and we enjoyed our time in the area. We didn't rent a car but had family in the area. It's not centrally located if you need to use public transportation but otherwise was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

This hotel was difficult to reach via the interstate.

Hotel was clean, rooms were large (suites), fantastic breakfast. Not a ton of food options nearby or walkable.

We had a nice stay, breakfast was good, and overall had a good experience. Everything was clean and accessible. Short drive to Salem, and not too far from Boston Logan airport. No tolls were required. I would stay here again.

Close to Salem. Plenty of parking. Its an older property but it was clean and staff was friendly. It was convenient having a small kitchen with a fridge.

Breakfast was amazing! the overnight Oats were a great surprise

The hotel looked so nice online, however from the moment we arrived we noticed the overall condition of the property inside and out, lobby, and most importantly the rooms were in very poor condition. Holes in the carpet, chewed on furniture, many smells and stains. The pool was one of the smallest pools I've ever seen at a hotel. Many rats running around the parking lot. The only thing that saved our stay was the nice staff and decent breakfast. We only stayed because we couldn't get our money back.

Our room was really nice and we had a good time. Although they say they clean our rooms every other day, they pretty much cleaned it every day. Parking is $5 per night and is paid through an app (honor system).

Pool is clean. Hot tub was a big hit! Rooms are very big (suite) breakfast is ok front staff very nice especially Anastasia very helpful

Nice hotel for the money. They’re doing construction which affects the looks a bit. Staff is super friendly, room was clean. Beds were comfy, futon bed however was terrible and the water for the showers weren’t hot. Breakfast was nice but they packed it up at like 9:30 instead of 10.
