DoubleTree by Hilton Boston - Rockland

The hotel restaurant/bar was nice to have a drink at night and chat. The breakfast buffet was good.

Really nice place to stay with a friendly/accommodating staff. Only thing that we didn't like was that the pool was shut down with no opening in sight for the near future. Dedham would be a better option if you need a decent pool/hot tub.

Front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. There was a wedding going on but noise ended at 11PM and check-in staff reassured that they would intervene if it noise became an issue. Couldn’t hear any noise from from room (wing not above banquet hall.) Room clean and well appointed. Ample parking right near rear entrance. Plenty of pillows….yeah!!

First I’ll say, the hotels bed was comfortable and the location was convenient for what we needed. Online it mentioned that the hotel had vegan options available, however when I inquired about this at breakfast the staff needed me to define the term. This limited our options to dried fruit, nuts and oatmeal. Potatoes could be served dairy free upon request, but if you wanted to have something equal to waffles or eggs, there’s no plant based options available. If breakfast isn’t included with your stay, I believe breakfast is around $20. Hotel also stated that EV chargers were available on site. There were 4 spots and four chargers available. One car was charging, the rest of the spots yielded an error message. When presented to the front desk, they had no idea how to make this work, but when they called the general manager, the troubleshooting included “did you park at one of the ones with the lights on?” And “did you follow the instructions?” Beyond that it was a shrug and we couldn’t charge. At check in we were told there were 3 weddings staying there that night. We are grateful we found a room as it was conveniently located for us, but the hallway to our room was packed and you needed to pass the hotel bar to get to it. The hallways and hotel bar were noisy until 12:30am/1am. But we were boy there for a wedding Our room smelled of natural gas as you entered, but couldn’t notice it after a few minutes. When checking out no one asked how our stay was.

No swimming pool. The property needs updating.

This property is clean and safe. Has lots of free parking and is convenient for shopping inthe area and vsiting our friends in Hull MA.

Since the pool has been closed for 2 years you should remove the photos from your website and travel booking sites.

A couple of issues that made me decide I will not come back. 1) The shower floor on the edges was peeling off and looked dirty. The shower was dripping which overflowed to the floor in front of the toilet. 2) My room wasn't cleaned. I asked the front desk to have someone clean it or at least add towels. Nobody came. 3) The bureau drawer doesn't stay shut. 4) Found a big black ant in bathroom. Not sure if there were more. My favorite experience was the restaurant and bar. Both the bartender and the morning waitress were superb!

The ac was torn apart and left hanging open. But they came and fixed My sheet was dirty and bed mattress cover had pee stains. They changed sheet I did not see bed till they left.

Nice enough hotel. Biggest complaint would be the extremely loud air conditioner. Dinner menu, while limited was good. Breakfast wasn't worth the cost.

I had to go to a funeral nearby so not familiar with area but the hotel was great except that you could hear people in the rooms next door and it echoed in the halls.

One elevator was broken. Water leak in the main lobby, our bathroom sink did not drain. Heating system was bad, either it gets too hot or too cold.

The air temperature in our room was too hot and nothing we did would turn off the heat.

Clean, nice staff, just a bit older of a facility with no frills. Beds are SUPER comfy IMO. No problem staying again. Go to dinner and shopping in nearby Hingham. It’s one of the most beautiful towns.

We stayed one night because there was no water in our house. It was easy to book and the price was acceptable. The internet did not work on phones, only on a laptop.

It’s very possible because I recently stayed at a very good hotel my perception is a bit skewed, but for what the room cost and my accompanying expectations for a Hilton I was very underwhelmed. The hotel itself is large, but outside of that they fell short on all the basics. The room seemed dated, with an intermittently working lamp, a broken overhead light and drain in the bathroom and multiple missing wood chunks from the dresser. Add that it was also small, and this stay wasn’t comfortable. Bed was difficult to get a good night's rest on, and the microwave kept resetting so I gave up setting the time after the 4th time. The finishing touch was housekeeping taking my personal towel when cleaning the room mid week. I advised staff my name was written on it and that I’d like it back, but was advised they would “look into it” which is code for too bad, so sad. Note that I did not receive a call as they advised following up either. The only reason I rated the establishment as high as I did is the 1 saving grace: Conrad’s restaurant. Seriously, though I would never stay at this hotel again, the offerings at this restaurant would absolutely make me pay a visit here if I’m looking for breakfast or dinner. Just an awesome experience with the waitresses and bartenders. Food was tasty and well seasoned, everything was quickly made, hot and fresh, and the bar was very good as well. This restaurant is the crowning achievement of the entire five floors of wasted money.

I flew in on a sunday morning and had called the hotel to see if i could check in early. Unfortunately, they could not accomodate my request so i spent the better half of the day sitting in my rental car. When i arrived to the hotel, i asked again around 11am if i could check in. I was told there were no rooms available and so they added me to a wait list to be able to check in at 2pm. At this point, i had been traveling since the night before with no sleep and been in Boston for 5 hrs. I sat in their lobby and fell asleep, i woke up at 2pm and asked again if i could check in. They told me no, your room is not available and then informed me that expedia did not provide them with my correct credit card information. I called expedia to fix the issue, that was taken care of so i went back to the fromt desk and asked again at 2:30pm if i could check in, she told me no so i about lost my mind. Worst customer service!!! I argued with the front desk receptionist and once my voice raised up, the manager comes by to ask what the problem is. I explained to her the issue so she tells the worker to go ahead and let me check in. All of a sudden a room was available and she was handing me my key card because the manager said so. Funny how nothing was abailable hourssssss ago and once they saw how angry i was, they let me check in. I landed in boston at 6am and did not get a room until close to 3pm! I am sorry but this is no way to treat a customer!

My room was assigned keys to another party, who walked in around midnight and scared us. This was after we were provided the incorrect room keys and were sent to the incorrect floor.

Check-in was delayed as the systems were down not the staff’s fault they did the best they could but there was no notice and I realize early check-in is not guaranteed but a heads up that it wasn’t going to happen would have been nice. While waiting yet the common area bathrooms - the men’s room sink was filled with vomit and the women’s room smelled horribly

The manager was great and able to get is in a room early after coming from our red eye flight.

I'm surprised that Hilton and Doubletree would be affiliated with this property. It's more like an old Holiday Inn. The lobby is drab and uninviting with 2 sofas, a coffee table and concrete walls. Yuk! The employees were friendly but when we checked in I asked to have a room near family members who had already checked in and was told by the front desk clerk that they wouldn't be able to assign a room since housekeeping did that. What???!! I worked in hotel management for years - since when did housekeeping assign rooms?? We definitely would NOT stay here again!

Hotel staff was rude and not helpful with the exception the people in the dining area. I asked for housekeeping on 3 days and they never arrived. The restaurant/room service had very limited hours

Room was clean and comfortable, just what we needed. Hotel rooms were a bit outdated but the location was convenient to highway and a great Italian restaurant next door!

Will come back and recommend to others if 30 - 40 minutes away from city is not an issue for you.

Nice place to stay for our basketball trip. Not too far from the sites. I believe there was an EV charger at the facility which we may consider using if we have a basketball tournament again next year.

Perfect location to visit family and friends

I like the location and people that work there. The bar staff could use more support. POS wasn’t working and inventory hasn’t been properly reordered leaving some customers and staff frustrated.

The clam chowder in the lobby store was incredible

The restaurant was expensive and not impressive. They should offer a free breakfast most hotels in the area do.

Staff at the restaurant for dinner was amazing. Can't remember her name but older female waitress was great to talk to and attentive.
