Hotel was fine. Car window was busted and glove compartment contents stolen. Several other cars had their windows busted out as well. We were lucky in that they only busted one of our windows; at least one other car had 3 windows busted out. No cameras in the parking lot.

The elevator was broken and we had to use the stairs. Bathroom wasn't clean enough. I am not comfortable to go back.

The elevators were horrible. They've been like that for months. Theres no sign around the elevator that says theyre doing any kind of renovation. At least put some basic covering on the walls or paint the walls. They just look very bad enough to get the hotel 1-2 stars.

The pool was closed and the place needs a facelift. The lobby furniture was worn and dirty. The fitness center was the size of small closet. t the tv was small and the pillows suck! The good thing was the venue was next door and they held our luggage until we left the wedding. We checkout early and went home.

You get what you pay for at a Comfort Inn, which is one step above a total dive. Elevator did not work, ice machine did not work, vending machine did not work, water pressure in sink was tiny, bathtub had spots, breakfas not ready til a half hour aftrer the stated start, no staff present at the counter for morning checkout, etc., etc. Acceptable for a night's sleep on your way somewhere else.

The elevator did not work my first 5 of 6 days. I have severe COPD. The wifi was extremely slow so I couldnt even upload my daily reports. Breakfast was way below average. The location is fine but all the restaraunts worth eating at are 12-15 minutes away.

We liked the convenient location- close to I-95- but the downside was the loud truck traffic starting up in the middle of the night. Plus there's a gas station next door and whenever a truck backed up the warning signal disrupted our sleep. The HVAC fan was really LOUD so we turned it off. The property is old and you can see where they've tried to paint over damage. The elevator looks like it was used for freight but the quilted liners were removed so you see bare metal walls with all sorts of dings and scrapes. The only good things were the comfortable bed (mattress and pillows) and friendly housekeeping and breakfast staff. They seem to take pride in the property and care for it, despite its age.

Trust the reviews. This place is dirty. There was hair everywhere, in *clean, changed* towels, and on the carpets in the room and in the lobby. Human or animal, no one will ever know. Many bugs, dead or alive, they got them! Especially check your sheets and carpet. Burn or hot wash your clothes when you leave. Very dusty, and because of the heat, I kept the AC on very minimally. Looking at that AC alone will make you want to refuse to breathe. I chose to breathe and the second night: got sick. Opted out of the AC after that. House keeping spent hours talking loudly to each other while working the rooms of the 4th floor. A shout away for each room. When they did finally clean my room, I was relieved but I'm not sure what exactly transpired. A piece of a condom wrapper and a food box were just left near and under the bed from the previous guests. But I got fresh hair in a *new* towel after I'd put them out to be cleaned. Mind you, I didn't use them, it's just the principle of it. Not going to talk about the lobby much, other reviews have covered that. But look down, I'm sure you will see the occasional ants carry food to their colony. Let's just say, my soul left this place before I did. I checked out a shell of myself and would love to please advice anyone else, do yourself a favor, just avoid this place if you can.

Noisy, not so clean

This hotel is tired. As soon as we entered the lobby I could tell the pictures online were not recent. Everything is quite worn. As we entered our first room on night one, immeddietly grossed out. Awful smell of must carpet and furnishings covered in stains. Holes in the walls, smoke detector was literally brown. The bathroom looked like it had a case of caulk smeared everywhere in an attempt to seal it. Mattress increadily uncomfortable. Desk chair and sitting chair were both covered in paint and nail polish. We are clean people and it was difficult to not feel disgusting in this room. The next morning i went to the front, staff was understanding i will give them that. They did get us another room on the fourth floor which was slightly better. It looked as if it had been used much less. Smelled okay everything wasnt as beaten and stained and the beds were slightly more comfortable. BUT not only did the fridge and TV not work i was unable to unplud the fridge and it just made obnoxiously loud noises the rest of our stay. I had to get a replacement key card three times because i was unable to get into our room. Honestly nothing about this stay was enjoyable. I would not reccomend anybody stay there.

The hotel is really clean and the employees are always very helpful and responsive.

It was just okay for one night. Would not stay again unfortunately. It didn’t feel all that clean. the pictures online make it look a lot better than it is in person. Bathroom was noticeably a quick clean. There was hair in the toilet when we got there. The beds seemed fine so we stayed since it was just one night and I chose a non-refundable payment option. Tub drain looked gross so I didn’t give my daughter a bath like I had planned. Our toilet also was not flushing right, it was taking a LONG time to flush but it did so we chalked it up to just being old. Until the morning when my daughter went to use the toilet and it had backed up all over the floor. Called the front desk and got disconnected, but we went down and they said someone would be right there. They were not, so thankfully we were checking out anyway. Went and checked out earlier than planned. The front desk employee was nice as were all other staff I encountered. The place just needs work and maybe a good deep clean..

The building and amenities are fine, but the real issue is they're not being maintained properly. The cleanliness was terrible.

Cockroaches and dirty bed sheets

The staff was very nice and helpful. Provided extra towels and always responsive. we found a cockroach in the bathroom and showed the pic to staff member. They were offering housekeeping every day but the hallways were dirty. The elevators were dirty. Price was good and staff was friendly.

My sheets I’m sure weren’t changed as they were filled with crumbs. I slept in the other bed with my daughter. Nothing was vacuumed. Room was supposed to be smoke free and smelled of smoke so much that my daughter needed bed asthma meds upon arrival. Will never return.

Needs updated.

Not the best but not the worst. It was clean for the most part but run down. The price was less then those around it. Just needed a room for one night. I usually clean my hotel rooms and the towel was not dirty after wiping everything. The remote for the tv didnt work. The ac and hot water were great. The phone lines and internet was down during our stay. I would probably stay again because it is cheaper than others around.

Shower head was very weak, not much water pressure. Other than that my stay was very comfortable.

Superb location for commute around Maryland, good size rooms and tidy

The hotel had large rooms and bathrooms were updated but carpets were damaged and old. Breakfast was good. AC bit noisy and hard to manage.

Pillows are awful

The staff was great! The complimentary breakfast was verynice, however, Pillows were very small and tv reception was awful, bathtub needs refinishing, bathroom sink was clogged until maintenance came, the door lock did not work until you swioed 4 or 5 times

Wonderful Staff

Walked into check in, rude staff. Went to my non smoking room to find cigarette burns and holes in the walls. Room was not clean and was honestly very disgusting.

Not very clean. Was given the wrong room apparently and was woken up to other guests trying to get into my room. Then the front desk calling at 12am to ask what my name was and that I was given the wrong room. No apologies and the lady was a tad rude.

It's a comfort inn, you're looking at this hotel because you're on a tight budget, i get it. The room was clean, beds were soft. Toilet needed maintenance when we first got there and the staff was quick to respond. Shower was nearing the end of its life span, but at least the water was hot. Breakfast was mediocre. Theres a Wendy's and McDonald's near by along with a bus stop, which was convenient since we didn't rent a car on this trip, and the bus will get you to the metro station.

The hotel was in a convenient location and felt safe. The staff was friendly and the beds comfortable, though overall the halls and elevators were somewhat dirty.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is convenient for events at UMD. There is shopping and fast food close by.

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. It was clean, staff was nice. Plus i enjoyed the hot breakfast which was better than i expected. For the price it cant be beat. Will stay here again next time.

Leaving without breakfast coz it starts at 7am, too late for those early check out customers.

Good experience but breakfast choices need to be improved

nice lobby and hotel overall, comfortable beds, nice rooms and amenities, great location, great service all workers were helpful and nice. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was good also: eggs boiled, scambled round,cereal, sausages,toast,oj, apple juice, yogurt,water,tea, coffee, pastries.muffins. I think it was oatmeal also cant remember.

The smell in the hotel was an over powering scent to mask bad aromas I presume. The area is a little rough and a lot of people hanging around outside and it seems some people are living in the hotel since school buses pick up and drop off kids. Very noisy with thin walls and overall a bit run down. Breakfast was not served in the normal breakfast area, but a small room a very little offering and not well stocked and rather pleasant to even eat anything.

We liked it. Great value for the money. The breakfast was served in a side room that was a bit too tight with a TV blaring CNN headline news. Last thing you want to think about before coffee is all of that ill. It was a surprising choice because they had a nice dining area, but it as dark and apparently closed. Otherwise fine.

Was a smooth check in process for us after the person beforehand was completed. And was there when a bus load of tourist arrived so lobby was hectic and breakfast was packed. The staff did a good job keeping the breakfast proteins (eggs and sausage) available but there unfortunately were no fruits. Room was clean yet the bathtub looked pretty old and the caulk and paint in the tub was chipped. Due to the light from the smoke detector and other electronics in the room, I personally had a hard time going to sleep but that was me. Bed was comfy. Was only one night and I've stayed here multiple times and would do so in future

Room is clean and comfortable. It is equipped with a small fridge and microwave. The breakfast is more than adequate. I've stayed here many times for business and find it to be the best value by far for the area.
