Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Portland Maine Airport

Clean, comfortable bed, good breafast, and easy to find off the highway.

The staff was really nice and they have a really good full breakfast, eggs, bacon, quiche, cottage cheese with fruit cups, waffles etc. The only down side was the place looked a little run down and not as clean as I would expect a Marriott property to be. Also the pillows weren't very supportive. The bed was nice and clean though. Oh and be very carefully pulling in left especially during 5pm rush hour traffic. There are 2 lanes you have to cross and the cars can come up fast. I almost got hit going in. So an average stay.

When we were waiting to check in, the gentleman before me was checking in with a name different than on the reservation . He said his wife made the reservation in her name . The girl at the front desk said that normally the person on the reservation had to call if a different person was checking I. But she’d let it go that time . That is not supposed to happen and is very dangerous . Then she sent us to a room that was dirty , the fridge was not plugged in and it smelled awful . It took her ten minutes to get us a new room . It’s very dirty and while I understand that it’s spring , the outside is gross with the outside furniture stacked by a shed like garbage .
