Days Inn by Wyndham Albion

This was a two-story building with no elevator. The room I had was dirty and in poor physical condition (patches on the walls, stains, broken shower curtain, dim lights). 👎

Days inn website stated that there was an indoor pool and breakfast. Well the pool has been out of commission since before winter and the hotel manager stated that they do not do breakfast at all. He said there is coffee in lobby. Well there was no coffee offered. The website did not state that the pool was down. The description of the hotel was severely not accurate

Our TV didn't work, the front desk said they would send someone to fix,but never did. The pool was out of order, the parking lot had holes in the pavement, and the so called breakfast had milk and cereal, bread with no toasters.

Very friendly front desk staff!!!! Hotel needs some work. Dingy, drawer knobs missing. No working ice machine. Holes in the walls. Comfortable beds!!!

I would rather sleep in my car than stay in this poor excuse for a hotel. The rooms smelled like a dump, paint and trim throughout the building was in poor condition, the parking lot looked green from Al the grass growing through it all. The pool was not usable.

Pictures are very old!! Outer Doors didn't close all the way. Outside and inside very dirty and run down. Room fixtures were dirty and broken. Several drawers were missing handles. Mold in bathroom. Pool is permanently closed. Will never stay at again...Very disappointed that this hotel is even offered on expedia. DO NOT BOOK HERE!! Disgusting

When we first pulled up to Days Inn in Albion, MI there were two cars in the parking lot that looked like it had been robbed. The wheels were missing and sitting on bricks. Next, there were boxes sitting outside the hotel entrance almost blocking the doors. Once I entered the property, I had rung the bell four times before I started walking around the hotel looking for someone to help me. While walking around I noticed that the pool which was one of the reasons I booked that location was empty with blue tarts laying over top of it. I asked the gentleman who finally came to the front desk about the pool and he said it hasn’t beee. Open for two years which was disappointing. Because of the look of the hotel conditions, I asked to see my room “127” to check its cleanliness before checking in. Once I went to observe the room, I notice that two of three lamps didn’t have a light bulb. All three lamps were dusty like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The chair to the table had stains on it and was sitting in between the queen beds instead of under the desk. The bathroom tube was dirty, the shower head look rusted and the towels and wash rags had stains on them. I called the complaint into Expedia and asked for a refund for my two night stay and they said they had to call the hotel to get approval from the manager for the refund but the guy at the front desk told Expedia that there was no manger available at the hotel. I asked if a supervisor was available and he said no. Terrible!

The entire hotel had a mildew type smell. The room was absolutely filthy. The carpet was sticky. There was dirt in the towels and on the beds. The tub was so disgusting that I couldn’t give my kids a bath not to mention there wasn’t a plug stopper. For $100 a night I would expect the room to be clean.

BED BUGS

This is disgusting. Dirty, run down, cobwebs, broken lights, stained carpet and chair with nail polish.

The property looked run down and it was dirty. It didn't look like our room was even cleaned. The bed wasn't made properly, the bedspread was partially on the floor, the pillows were a mess. The floor wasn't vacuumed, the bath tub was dirty and had hair in it. The place looks runned down and it was filthy.

Very dirty,smelly. Nasty beds needs shut down

Not only was the room nasty the whole place was discussing. Cob was in corners Blood on the wall Vent cover in bathroom has not been cleaned in 10 years it looks like Tub and shower walls looked like they have not been cleaned in months Carpet was nasty and wet by the A/C unit Carpet in halls was filthy Black mold in bathroom Days Inn will be hearing from me on this as well with the pictures I have taken. This room was not worth $10.00 if you ask me or my fiancé

The shower had pubic hairs in it in a thick layer. The bathroom trash can had rotting food in it. The floor had vomit on it. IT SMELLED.

Everything was super dirty

It was filthy dirty! The grossest place i have every seen! We left 15 minutes after checking in and told them it was way to dirty. I was sick to my stomach. I called Wyndham and complained. I will be contacting Hotels.com when i get home. Im hoping to get my money back since we did not stay. BEWARE

It served as a place to stay for the night. Refrigerator did not cool but light came on. There was only one Styrofoam cup holding coffee supplies. No ice bucket in the room. Hole in bedspread. On the plus side, the room was clean, quiet, and the television worked. Staff was pleasant. #We did not ask for the missing items. We were tired.

The room didn’t have toilet paper, there was invisible ink written on the bathroom walls, and the TV didn’t change channels. All in all the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Overall stay with great compared to the reviews I had read online. The staff was friendly. our door wouldn't unlock using our card so we had to have the concierge open the door each time but wasn't much of an issue because they were friendly and prompt about it. The only issue I had was there was no smoke detectors in the room. If there was a fire in the middle of the night we would have been dead because we would have never known. 7/10 DO recommend

You get what you pay for, but less. I had no clock, phone, or an outlet anywhere near the bed. The room was like something from communist times. No pictures, bed felt like wood with a blanket laid on it. This hotel has been outdated and in need of a remodel for 25 years.

Only half of our room had power. We were only able to use the TV and 1 lamp. There wasn’t even a working outlet to charge our phones. We specifically rented the room with a jet tub and it didn’t even work. The facility is very dated and is in desperate need of an upgrade. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

The hotel was cheap, and you basically get what you pay for. The bathroom were real dirty. Had black mold on the walls. The shower head leaked, when I got there there were dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom. The decor was old and very dated

Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable. No ice, no kleenex, very old hotel (and it looks it!) No coffee, no breakfast even though the website said so. . Bathroom was VERY small and sink faucet was loose. If you are looking for a basic bed and clean room, stay here. If you want amenities, go elsewhere.

The whole place was like a refugee camp. People sitting in the parking lot. The room was gross dirty. Nothing was plugged in tv, lamps etc. Furniture was broken with the broken parts laying around the room. The desk clerk was rude with no attempt at addressing our concerns. His last thing said was “good luck finding anything under $500”

Great place to stay pleasant staff and the coffee was good

At check in I was asked to put a cash deposit down instead of a credit card. I had just finished an 8 hr drive with bad weather. I had to ask for a receipt. There were no extra outlets in the room to plug in a computer other than in the bath room. The so called breakfast was sliced bread for toast, dry cereal, and milk. I then had to ask for my cash deposit to be refunded back to me... and that took an extra 15 mins to accomplish.

This property is very run down. There were holes in the walls, mold, and bugs in the room. We asked to check out early and receive a refund, the hotel manager said no.

The property was dated but clean. Power outlets were few. Staff was pleasant and helpful when needed.

The hotel was run-down and very out of date. We paid for 2 nights which was a Thursday and Friday. Friday morning we spent the day exploring but when we went back to our hotel, we found they had moved our stuff out of our room and gave our room to someone else. They insisted we only paid for 1 night and we had checked out. I proved them wrong and they gave us another room. But the point is they had no right touching our stuff. We never checked out, we paid for 2 nights and the place was a dump. There were several people who were complaining about the hotel. I will never stay there again.

I arrived to the property because I had a friend get stranded in Michigan and they called me to help them (we live in Illinois). After driving 3.5 hours to get there we weren't able to stay at the facility. As soon as we walked into the lobby area there was a strong smell of mildew. Then when I was attempting to check in, the desktop system was down so the receptionist went to get a laptop to attempt to enter my personal information (I did not allow for that to happen). Once the system came back online, I was given keys to my room (131). We proceeded to go into the room and the key would not open the door. We went back to the desk and the receptionist came and performed some sort of combination of: handle up, handle down, jiggle the knob, in order for us to get in the room. I'd love to be able to say that we were able to rest after this, but unfortunately this was not the case. The room smelled even worse than the lobby did, and this for me was the final straw. I went back to the desk and informed the receptionist that I would not be staying there and asked for a refund. I was told that I would not be able to receive a refund because I paid on Expedia. I had to book another room at the Holiday Inn which was much better and we were finally able to rest.

Overall plenty of space parking, lobby, rooms excellent choice

It was nice to have a gas station as a neighbor for a quick snack or beverage.

While the bed was comfortable, the room and property were run down and dirty. Rooms had flies, and fly strips hanging from the window blinds. Parking lot is very dimly lit and the Days Inn sign wasn’t even lit up.

We didn't even stay. The people working there were nice, but the room was awful. We arrived at 1:30 am tired from our drive and the place was terrible. We walked through the terribly smelly halls only to arrive to our terribly smelly room. The heat was blasting on high, which was fairly considerate because it was cold outside. But this was unbearable heat! There were stains and peeling everywhere as shown in the photos. They are poor quality, but that's because we were trying to leave as soon as possible. We felt very unsafe here. The photos online do NOT match the reality of the hotel. I was excited to pay a cheaper price for this hotel, but even that was too expensive for the experience. We left about 20 minutes into our stay and paid for another cleaner, safer hotel.

This property left a lot to be desired…. The weeds around the building were as tall as the building in some places. The breakfast was a joke…. Our ice bucket was an empty butter container and the shower was out of another era!!! Needless to say marking Days Inn off my places to stay when traveling!!!

There are none of the advertised amenities. No breakfast, no pool, no service. The place was trashed with drug deals going on visibly in the parking lot. Staff did not care. Straight up lied about there situation. Worst stay in a hotel ever.

Arrived late, front desk gentleman was nice/friendly. Breakfast was advertised to be provided but it was not. Carpet in room was very dirty.

This place was so dirty. There were trash bags open evey where inside and out of the hotel. The hotel smelled of pot and the walls had cracks all over them. The hotel advertised breakfast with stay. There was no breakfast. The management had a handwritten sign saying we no longer offer a breakfast but website continued to advertise this as available to guest. There was also a $50 "deposit " for damages required for stay. Do not recommend this hotel.

Too much noise with the Emergency door used in the morning by many guests. Breakfast was really bad. Almost nothing.

So dirty ! Mold in tub ! Did not even shower! Luckily We only needed a place to sleep and head out in morning! Free breakfast ! What a joke ! Cold coffee dry cereal with a community gallon of milk in refrigerator and a few pieces of stale bread! Don’t stay here !!

Came out at 7 to see what they were serving for breakfast 2 apples and some bread were left. Disappointing. Very run down and dirty. Not any other options in the area unfortunately.

I don't mind staying in a cheaper motel with less amenities. However I loathe false advertising. On the good side, the towels were clean and soft. Our room was cleaner than a lot of other reviews. But, The pool and hot tub look to be permanently closed and their breakfast is non existant.. if you ask about it they say it is a light breakfast coffee in the lobby(no cups) and they go behind the front desk and bring you a crunchy granola bar... lol Just tell it like it is please. You almost get what you pay for with this place.... oh, but there was a wonderful smell of bacon when you step into the hall! But that's all ya get folks! You have been warned.
