Hampton Inn Commerce Novi

So far so good. Pool area is pretty tight and my kids thought it was pretty cold so we didn’t stay. Facility seems clean and staff has been very friendly so far.

Everything looked very clean. The 24 hr coffee and tea bar stocked and neatly organized. Breakfast was great! Food was tasty and hot. Front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and kind! Thank you for the service, excellent place and would love to go back!

The breakfast spread was nice, bed comfortable, very clean, plenty of towels, and really liked the lemon water in the lobby area. Also nice to have tables and chairs outside of breakfast area to use anytime. A great stay

Parking area is well lighted, very clean. I have always enjoyed staying at Hampton Inn. Always clean.

Clean, easy parking and good breakfast

The staff were all excellent. Breakfast each morning was delicious and offered both hot and cold items. Room was very clean and roomy (kind-size bed with 2 loveseat sofa sleepers). Weight room was also very clean and all machines worked well. The pool was clean and fairly warm too. Our grandsons thoroughly enjoyed it. No hot tub though. We've stayed here a few times and each stay has been excellent.

We stayed due to a power outage at our home. The room was basic, but nice. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was simple but good. The pool was small and not many towels. Overall we were satisfied and thankful for a clean, warm place to stay.

Liz at the front desk is absolutely phenomenal! My only complaint is the pool was cold but that only bothered me, kids didn't care. Breakfast choice was awesome too!

Great greeting . Yummy lemon water and offer of a freshly baked cookie. Very nice lobby. Quite pretty area . I slept great on that cozy bed!!!

No extra pillows for pullout sofa in the closet, & the front desk claimed they had no extra pillows and suggested we fold a blanket to use as a pillow. Electric shades were completely broken (no battery cover on the non-working remote, & no way to manually roll up blinds). At night, there was a giant spotlight blasting through window, and no blackout curtains to make up for the non-operational window covering (which does not cover the window anywhere near enough to drown out the light). The pool area has signs all over mentioning a whirlpool that must have been removed recently. Instead of removing the switches and signs, someone thought it would look great to keep the signs and just cover the switches up with blank plates. These are all simple things that are inexpensively resolved, yet someone made an intentional choice to make (what probably once was) a nice hotel experience on par with a cheap motel. All that said, the manager has agreed to refund us for our stay, which is great. I hope this is a wake-up call for this place to get the basics right - like, walk around the property at night and see how many rooms are getting blasted with those spotlights, then go into the rooms when they are not occupied and see how the light washes the entire room. Or make sure there are extra pillows and blankets in the closet, especially for rooms where a customer is paying for a sleeper sofa. Lastly, don't ask customers to solve YOUR problems!

Did not clean the room at all during 5 day stay after notifying on day 3

It’s a great hotel; however, they don’t clean room daily.

Hotel staff- was helpful with changing my room. The first room I didn’t go inside because my neighbors were having a party. The next day I needed to cancel my stay and they were no help at all. They blamed Expedia for not providing me a receipt. They said don’t book on Expedia if you need to cancel a reservation early even after checking in. With that being said I was charged an extra night and the customer service was bad during the holiday season. Hotel room- beds felt cheap and box spring made noise every time I moved. Cover had a red stain on it. Shower had hair in the tub.

The staff was great. However we had no house keeping / the whole time we were there . We were not aware that we had to ask for that at check in. So next time it would be nice if we were told about that. And the rugs were dirty in the room. They could use a good cleaning or newer ones would be recommended. Overall good stay. Thank you

Staff very friendly beds were uncomfortable

Room facing M5 on west side was very noisy all night. Traffic noise and then dumpster handling in morning made for a lousy nights Sleep.

Stayed in a suite on 4th floor. It faced route MI-5 and I heard way too much road noise. The mattress wasn’t good either; felt cheap. The highlight was the breakfast area, which was expertly run and maintained.

Room was old and needed some updates such as torn carpet and peeling paint. The next morning, the house keeping staff was extremely loud and tried to enter the room to clean it several hours before the noon check-out time.

Everything was fine until the desk clerk called my cellphone at 1:22 a.m on the morning of our departure asking if we were still coming to check in. I settled all matters the day prior and on check in two days before, as she was aware! I made attempts to complain but got voicemail. No one responded! She woke us up. We only wanted a restful stay so we could visit my 96 year old dad at nearby Henry Ford hospital.

Very accommodating. My family had a mixup with a different place of lodging and they really made it easy adjust our plans for the room. Helped us out a lot.

The hotel served the purpose intended. The check in clerk was not very attentive to the front desk. But James, at the desk when we checked out was very attentive and friendly. James was very helpful in helping me when we found out that we had left our keys in the room (the next day). James secured the keys until we had them picked up.

At check in we were given keys to a room that was already occupied. We booked a suite and ended up getting a standard room because ours was given to someone else. Wasn't offered a discount for the downgrade in the room either. Then the hotel charged my card the day after I checked out ($198) for the night stay after I already paid for it in full via hotels.com. The hotel did need my card for incidentals and was told it would be charged $30....which it was, and would come off after check out....which it did.

I lived the location and the easy access to shopping, Costco gas, my work, and restaurants. The staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot and not burned or stale. Room was clean and comfortable. Stayed multiple nights for business.

Staff assisted me in setting up transportation to airport for a 430 am pickup. Staff very personable and attentive.

Great location, lots of shopping and dining choices nearby, including gas station, booze/convenience items, excellent market Bistro and uptown grille. Called a week earlier to arrange early check-in, used Hilton app to select room the day before and all was good.

Everything was pretty good but the breakfast was pretty sad… frozen cheese omelette warmed up, oatmeal cold, no coffee set up by the breakfast area had to go over to the check in desk and it tasted old and burnt. Pool was ok and room was good
