It was a convenient location to town and the expressway. Beds were decent and rooms were clean. The hallways and stairs were dirty. The pool was terrible, way to hot, not filled to top, and had sand or something in sots all over the bottom.

Pool was unusable with 90 degree water! It was a giant hot tub not a pool. Aging hotel needs upgrading. Broken shower head holder, no a/c in common areas, peeling ceilings, etc. it was clean, comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly! Probably wouldn’t stay here again until they remodel.

The beds were comfortable. Motel carpet is very tired looking, and was damp around AC unit. NO ELEVATOR for 2nd floor guests!! We should have been told that before our stay. Fire alarm went off randomly twice- which was somewhat unsettling.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our room was adjacent to the entrance where the door was slammed at each guest entrance or exit all night. (Perhaps a new door closure would be appropriate). It rattled our wall so severely that things fell from the wall in the bathroom. Cleanliness was not as good as it could be. There was black mold in the bathtub, and the tile floor was very sticky. When we turned back the bed linens there was black crumbs all over the sheets and the bottom sheet was creased and looked slept in.

Online picture and hotel did not look the same. We were not given the type of room we booked online. The room and carpet felt damp. It was clean, but found stains on bottom of sheets. There were no other rooms, and it was late, so we were stuck, told there were ongoing issues they were gradually trying to fix ("gradually", "trying"? really??!) No effort to compensate in any way, just given the manager's business card. Haven't heard back yet. Very unhealthy and disgusting. A room like this should not be sold. The AC unit was also very noisy, and the room in general was noisy. A very uncomfortable feeling staying there with that mold issue. Makes you wonder what else is being excused away. I will avoid the Wyndham chain in general.

The property appeared clean but is very outdated and worn down looking, especially the lobby area where first impressions are made. It was also very noisy in our room, it seems like the rooms were not well insulated for sound. All in all the staff was friendly, the breakfast area was adequate and the price was right for a quick overnight stay.

I found the Baymont in Gaylord to be a Very Good hotel. The room was nicely equipped, Very Clean, quite, and affordably priced. The desk manager, Michelle I think her name is, was so pleasant making me feel that I made a good choice right upon arrival. Overall, the accommodations, staff, price, and proximity to the freeway, Fully Met my Expectations and I would highly recommend the Baymont by Wyndham Gaylord as well as stay there again in future travels to that area. Thanks!!

We had to check out only an hour after we checked in as we no longer felt comfortable at the property. Within 20 minutes of checking in, the fire alarms starting going off. They alarmed at least 6 times. When we checked with the front desk, they said their maintenance man was checking it out. When we asked the maintenance man if the alarm was malfunctioning or if there was cause for alarm, he stated that the alarm could be "real". We moved everything out of our room and sat on the lawn for close to an hour. Each time we checked on whether or not the property was clear, they said "it should be?" but we never got confirmation of a safe and all clear. We asked if they contacted the fire department to ensure that the property was safe and they stated "No, the maintenance man would be checking it out". Because we were travelling with children, we made the decision to leave. We asked the front desk about a possible refund and they said that they didn't think we could get one. As Wyndham Club and Rewards members, we were extremely frustrated and disappointed in this property and will never stay here again.

We liked the property & decided to stay an extra night. The rep at the front desk informed us that she had taken care of our reservation & assigned us the same room. When we came back that evening we were locked out. For 10-15 minutes there was no one in sight at the desk. When someone finally arrived it took them 2 additional attempts to assign correct key cards. It was past 11pm & we just wanted to go to bed. Lack of communication between shifts perhaps? They had my card on file. Front desk assured me everything was fine before we left for the day. What happened to that? Very frustrating & inefficient.

Fire alarm was going off extremely loudly multiple times both nights we stayed. Vending machine stole money. Front desk staff terrible. Made a lame excuse about the fire alarm on the second night. “We think someone is cooking in their room. We do have an older system.” For $200 a night and we paid for two rooms, two nights. Completely awful and the low quality/age of this Baymont is putting the brand to shame.

I made reservations online through Expedia. I requested early check in, was told to contact the property. I did. The property told me to call the morning of check in to request early check in. I did. They said “no problem”. I arrived at my requested time- one of two rooms were not ready. They checked us into someone else’s room, who was obviously there for a wedding because the gift for their guest was in the room which we took down to the front desk. Upon check in, we asked for a receipt and were told that because we went through the Expedia website they could not provide a receipt AND they did not know what we paid for the room. Our keys to both rooms did not work on two occasions, and we had to have the front desk “reactivate” them. The front desk was more attentive to each other & the other workers there than they were to the guests waiting to check in. This was not a good experience, and we usually like staying at Wyndham properties.

They checked us into someone else’s room, who was obviously there for a wedding because the gift for their guest was in the room which we took down to the front desk. Upon check in, we asked for a receipt and were told that because we went through the Expedia website they could not provide a receipt AND they did not know what we paid for the room. Our keys to both rooms did not work on two occasions, and we had to have the front desk “reactivate” them. The front desk was more attentive to each other & the other workers there than they were to the guests waiting to check in. This was not a good experience, and we usually like staying at Wyndham properties.

It took at least 20 minutes to check in. There was no one at the front desk for quite awhile. When she did arrive, she did not even acknowledge us. She answered the phone & was on it for a good 10 minutes. Then FINALLY, after hanging up, she asked us if we were checking in!

After reading recent reviews I was hesitant about booking here. I stayed with my parents and we enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, not far from downtown area, the front desk staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was a standard hotel style food. Eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, and waffle maker. Overall, the hotel did it’s job and we would stay again if in the area.

I had a good one-night stay at the Baymont Inn. The room was clean and comfortable with a decent TV, good internet connection, hot water and nice bathroom. Overall, everything was fine. The only challenge is parking on the property was limited but luckily there was one spot left for my SUV with snowmobile trailer. The location was very convenient for snowmobiling.

The check-in was very smooth. I liked being able to check out on my phone at the end of my stay. The room was clean and it was quiet. The pool was small. I would stay here again. It is within walking distance to Big Buck Brewery

Gaylord has lots of dining, centrally located, and big enough to have all the national retail / fast food you may need on a trip, but small enough to still have a great downtown with much better dining and retail. It was easy to get everywhere from the Baymont.

Breakfast was not good. Food cold, not enough and coffee was not good. Fitness center is a joke, has nothing except a couple treadmills, no weights or anything for exercised and room was way too small.

Check in was simple. No issues with the room. Two queen size beds. Indoor pool was nice, although the water was quite warm. No problems with my stay, and I would definitely book a room here again. Be aware, however, that the hotel has no elevator. If you're on the 2nd floor, you're walking up and down stairs.

Didn't use the pool. It was a quick stop on the way home after a family funeral. The breakfast was ok. Pretty limited, but for the price of the room, I wasn't expecting a lot. Coffee was strong and the juice was fresh. BONUS in my book, whenever I stay in a hotel is a FAN in the bathroom ....... you'd be surprised at haw many places DON'T and that can become a mold and mildew issue (to which I ALWAYS react to). Great location. Lots of dining options nearby. Fairly easy to get on and off of the Interstate.
