It was a destination stay for our granddaughter's 6th birthday and her siblings. The facilities were kid friendly - indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub and a game room. And with the clientele being golfers, they had the space to themselves. The facilities were clean but there were a few things we noticed that could use a little TLC.

First time back in over ten years. Sad to see the place going downhill- lack of updates and maintenance. Outdoor pool not longer in use as advertised, hot tub green, rooms dated, restaurant cools down-facilities need some attention. Skiing was good but find somewhere else to eat and stay.

We stayed at the building by the tubing hill it is way out dated and in need of repairs siding falling off, lights kept turning off by them selfs , pools were not heated and in need of repairs, games didn't work. Place is a joke won't be back.

The inside hot tub was not very warm. The heated pool was freezing cold. We went there for my son’s 10th birthday so he could swim and he couldn’t even go in the inside/outside “heated” pool because it was colder than our rivers around here.

Great experience overall but the check in process was confusing and the hot tub did not work as advertised, nor did the Inn have an outdoor, heated pool - that’s at the Lodge, down the hill. Good place to take a family with young kids, easy access to ski lifts but the area is very small…but this is Michigan…we make the best of what God gave us. The “Legends on the Hill” restaurant was AWESOME - food and service - and a two minute walk from our room.

They placed us in the Inn, it was old and outdated. Room size was awesome, but the toilet was rust stained and the tub had permanent stains on it. The toilet ran also. The first floor had a nice door to walk out side. BUT the people on the second floor above us must have had herds of elephants running around. So loud! Golf was beautiful!

The staff were great! The room was in very rough shape all around. Dirty, stains in the carpet, bathroom shower needed cleaning, food in the couch. Seemed like a party room. I'd try it again if traveling that way but would let them know I better have a clean room. It was ok and coffee was excellent.

We needed a room on a saturday night unexpectedly and the treetops had availability. We dis not need to utilize the golfing or skiing. However the date was oct 15 and the fall colors were amazing. We walked around the grounds and ski hill. Very pretty. Room was clean. Outdoor pool was already closed for season

Property was largely spread out and confusing to navigate. Preference to stay at the main lodge over inn would have been nice to be given the option instead of finding out upon arrival. the inn is very outdated and small beds but overall clean and ok service. would not reccomend staying at the inn on the property. nothing near what the pictures are posted online.

Our reservation was for a ski-in ski-out hotel, but our room was at The Lodge, not the Inn. The Lodge is a short drive to the area where the Inn, the restaurant, the sports bar, and the ski hill all are. We did not enjoy putting our gear on in the parking lot, no lockers at the ski services building or at the top of the hill. I did like that there is a bar in the Lodge. There was no coffee in the morning, the coffee machine wasn’t working. When looking for snacks I was told “there are vending machines at the Inn at the top of the hill.” I should note there are cash only vending machines for beverages. The rooms are spacious but need updates, especially the small tv should be upgraded.

The walls were very thin and we could hear a lot of banging upstairs, also could hear someone snoring all night. There was a card by the phone saying someone would replace towels and remake beds over our 3 night stay. We got extra towels and our beds were never remade. There was a very bad water leak with a large area of soaked carpet in front of the ice machine and it was not fixed for 2 days after we arrived. There was no breakfast included. The sidewalk at the entrance had a huge and dangerous hoke in it, just waiting for someone to twist an ankle or trip. There was no mirror in the room except bathroom and no microwave in the room. For what we paid, it was not worth the money.

Treetops Inn is very old and not being kept in good shape. One of the chairs on our balcony was broken and the door to the balcony wouldn’t open. It took maintenance an hour and a half to fix the problem.

I called the day before for an early check in, she said she marked us done for an early arrival and that check in at 3 could be a possibility. We arrived at 3 and our rooms weren’t ready. She sent us away and said they would call my cell phone when our rooms were ready….no call, we had to go back and check after 5pm to find they were finally ready.

Everything was great except Expedia put us down for only one night when I requested two nights. Treetops was most accommodating and arranged for the second night without any problems.

I have never written a review in my life, but this was too disappointing not to write about. We booked two nights to support our Sons' sports competition. We checked in with one of my Sons. The next day, I found out my two other Sons would need a place to stay. I spoke to reservations and then your front desk (Amber), and all she could say was NO. Can we move to a bigger room to accommodate my Sons? Can we check out early without being penalized? Can I talk to a Manager? She said no Manager was available all weekend. Can you add us to a cancelation list? She said there was a long cancelation list. Here is an idea - allowing us to check out early and give the room to someone on that waiting list would have provided a positive customer experience for everyone involved, but the answer was also NO. Extremely disappointed all the way around

Here is an idea - allowing us to check out early and give the room to someone on that waiting list would have provided a positive customer experience for everyone involved, but the answer was also NO. Great experience overall but the check in process was confusing and the hot tub did not work as advertised, nor did the Inn have an outdoor, heated pool - that’s at the Lodge, down the hill. Good place to take a family with young kids, easy access to ski lifts but the area is very small…but this is Michigan…we make the best of what God gave us. The “Legends on the Hill” restaurant was AWESOME - food and service - and a two minute walk from our room.

Property was largely spread out and confusing to navigate. Preference to stay at the main lodge over inn would have been nice to be given the option instead of finding out upon arrival. the inn is very outdated and small beds but overall clean and ok service. would not reccomend staying at the inn on the property. nothing near what the pictures are posted online.

I did not know there was more than one lodging building which was confusing. We were put in an other building other than the main one. We found it confusing to find our building on the property. It’s a beautiful place and we looked forward to using the hot tub, restaurant and bar but had to drive to other buildings for them.

We needed a room on a saturday night unexpectedly and the treetops had availability. We dis not need to utilize the golfing or skiing. However the date was oct 15 and the fall colors were amazing. We walked around the grounds and ski hill. Very pretty. Room was clean. Outdoor pool was already closed for season

Our reservation was for a ski-in ski-out hotel, but our room was at The Lodge, not the Inn. The Lodge is a short drive to the area where the Inn, the restaurant, the sports bar, and the ski hill all are. We did not enjoy putting our gear on in the parking lot, no lockers at the ski services building or at the top of the hill. I did like that there is a bar in the Lodge. There was no coffee in the morning, the coffee machine wasn’t working. When looking for snacks I was told “there are vending machines at the Inn at the top of the hill.” I should note there are cash only vending machines for beverages. The rooms are spacious but need updates, especially the small tv should be upgraded.

Loved being near enough to outdoors we could see the snow and walk to dinner. Sadly dining lacked the last night of our stay and most foods were gone. Also had incredibly noisy people I reported to security. I later found their children running up and down stairs admitting they didn’t know where their parents were. Shameful and disrespectful. Also the step down into our room was very disguised and I sprained my ankle not seeing it! Probably best to have reflective tape there if the carpet is matched so perfectly it creates an optical illusion.

The walls were very thin and we could hear a lot of banging upstairs, also could hear someone snoring all night. There was a card by the phone saying someone would replace towels and remake beds over our 3 night stay. We got extra towels and our beds were never remade. There was a very bad water leak with a large area of soaked carpet in front of the ice machine and it was not fixed for 2 days after we arrived. There was no breakfast included. The sidewalk at the entrance had a huge and dangerous hoke in it, just waiting for someone to twist an ankle or trip. There was no mirror in the room except bathroom and no microwave in the room. For what we paid, it was not worth the money.

I had booked two rooms well in advance as we were moving my mother from gaylord. It was a gift for her 94th bday to make it a place to get out of the chaos of moving and enjoy her favorite activity a hot tub. In fact the hot tub is featured in the picture in their ad on hotels.com. When I called to see if my rooms were ready I asked how far we were from the hot tub. I was informed the hot tub in our building was not working and we would have to drive to the other building to the other hot tub. I actually tried to call hotels .com to see if I could get my money back but got disconnected at some point. I decided to stay and when I checked in Josh at the front desk tried to solve the problem but unfortunately the building with the working hot tub was booked solid. Just very disappointing when it was supposed to help my mother relax through a stressful time. Having to drive back to our room in damp bathing suits and to have to get in and out of the car a couple times ( hard when you’re 94). Rooms and facilities were definitely dated need a little love for sure. Breakfast buffet was also disappointing $22 for basically what you get for free at a lot of other hotels . If you golf or ski I’m sure it’s worth the convenience otherwise find somewhere else
